Émilie Coppermann (née Bevierre) reportedly decided to become a perfumer when she was 13 years old. She took a degree in chemistry, then attended the ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles.

She is currently with Symrise. Coppermann won the Prix François Coty in 2018.
