I'm curious what the “blue pepper” note smells like, as I am fairly certain such a thing doesn't actually exist in nature.

The bottle is campy-cute… more “I Dream of Jeannie” than “Embrace the night”.

Hey, it really is I Dream of Jeannie!

I've no idea if there is such a thing as blue pepper — perhaps it just had to be blue to match the bottle.

Can't find blue pepper through Google; maybe it's genetically created specifically for the perfume ( a la the Liv Tyler rose in Givenchy Irresistible)? Or maybe it's just bull-hockey.

It sure does sound like an interesting perfume, though. It doesn't sound sweet or fruity or floral. The bottle isn't my thing, though. It looks like something Britney Spears would have dreamed up for a “more mature” fragrance.

The bottle is Showtime! by Kulie Minogue, only in blue instead of pink.

Sorry I meant Kylie, still bothered about 30 being perceived as older.

If someone wants my money they better pay me some compliments!

If Kate Moss makes a fragrance I like, I'll stick my head in the oven. I do think it sounds great, though. Heeedious bottle.

Regarding Elements of Attraction, is this a pheromone? Just kidding!

In my Book of Scents, citrusy notes and rose should NOT mingle.

    My guess: bull-hockey.

It does sound better than many celeb scents though — incense & patchouli could be fun.

LOL — I'm afraid Coty is not interested in our old woman money.

Oh, I love citrusy rose! My favorite is still Parfums 06130 Yuzu Rouge.

This is when my newbie status pays off; I can honestly say I like that blue bottle (it's way better than the bottle for “kate”). Also, I will happily admit to owning a bottle of Kate by Kate Moss and liking it a lot! 🙂

I like it much better than the Kate bottle too — that one looked like nail polish to me.

So I guess pink pepper is for day and blue pepper is for night.

LOL @ I Dream of Jeannie!!! The bottle looks like the result of a hot night in the closet between a bottle of Baby Phat and Britney Spears.

Is the pepper blue cause they stuck it in here and it's sad??

Yes I am in a silly mood this AM 🙂

Great blog Robin, keep up the good work!

In Europe (Netherlands) we just got Velvet Hour in stores and it is surprisingly good! Patchouli and sandalwood are quite prominent. It first starts as an explosion in a candy store (yeah, don't know else how to explain in!), but turns 'dark and smoky' quite soon. I adored Moss' first fragrance (also available as EDP over here and with much more lasting power) and this one is sexy for sure. Will sell like hotcakes as it is not that pricey.

Thanks for the kind words! I don't know when or if Velvet Hour will launch here, but I'll try it when it does 🙂

Today I have tried Velvet Hour. WOW! Great Fragrance! At the beginning it is fresh and spicy. But later it turns into a dark floral/spicy/powdery scent. It reminds me of Midnight Poison because of this patchouli note. The lastingpower is amazing. It lasts more than 10 hours. This is great for an Eau de Toilette.
