Benetton Let’s Love ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 16 August 2012 4 Comments

Benetton Let's Love advert

Benetton has launched Let's Love, a new fruity floral fragrance for women.

Designed for young women who still believe in romance, the fragrance is a floral accord inspired by the irresistible Passion Flower. The optimistic fruity accents of pineapple and bamboo blow away in the air like a sweet whisper of love; while jasmine and passion flower petals resonate as the promise of a fiery kiss. Its unique heart reveals a delicate yet magnetic temperament.

Let's Love was developed by perfumer Emilie Copperman; additional notes include raspberry, musk, cedar and cashmere wood.

Benetton Let's Love is available in 40 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Once again, I am reminded of why I should NOT read ad copy for perfumes while drinking my morning coffee at the office. I think I’m running my IT guy ragged with all the specialty cleaning wipe for the keyboards & screens…

I like the ad copy! It’s such an over-the-top description of how a fragrance develops over time.

“The optimistic fruity accents blow away in the air like a sweet whisper of love” = the top notes evaporate and dissipate.

“jasmine and passion flower petals resonate as the promise of a fiery kiss” = the heart notes blossom.

Its unique heart reveals a delicate yet magnetic temperament. = the drydown is soft and lingering.

Action verbs everywhere! Even the name uses “Love” as a verb. Must be a very kinetic fruity floral.

Almost seems more appropriate to the one they just did for men: let’s move.
