I love that Monsieur Li was nominated in two categories!
Then I saw the “prestige” nominations. I know that these awards have little to do with scent but c’mon!
Agree..Chanel Chance..really?
I did not pay attention to the long list this year, so I don’t know if better stuff got knocked off the prestige lists, but yeah. I could care less who wins. And will be very surprised if Monsieur Li wins anything, it is not the usual Fifi style.
All the usual suspects….. lol …I *ditto* the above comments.
Yep.
Irrelevant doesn’t even begin to describe these nominees. No wonder Luca Turin turned his back on these garbage releases and started a new blog focusing on interesting perfume.
But also worth remembering that they do an award just for the juice — and that pretty much clears up what the other awards are about.
I don’t care either way who wins, but still: what a dire year for mainstream fragrance. I guess we should get used to it.
2015 was not a good year. But also weird that Chanel Misia, one of the better scents last year, is not even on these lists.
True! I suppose they deemed Eau Vive and Bleu to be better fragrances?
I have never read any explanation of their criteria, but as I said above, they do give a separate award for the best juice, which implies that the criteria for the regular awards are something other than “best juice”.
