2021 ~ upcoming
9/17: It's International Country Music Day. Name a favorite country music song and wear a fragrance to match.
10/1: Happy International Coffee Day! Wear a fragrance with a coffee note.
10/8: Thinking of You Friday: wear a perfume that reminds you of someone else (a friend? a family member? another NST reader? a celebrity? anyone, really). Adapted from a suggestion by chocolatemarzipan.
10/15: It's Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse's birthday. Wear a perfume for Jeeves OR Wooster. If you have never seen or read anything about Jeeves and Wooster, pick a favorite comic character from any medium, and scent that character.
10/22: Wear a fragrance that evokes one of Pantone's picks for the Autumn/Winter 2021/2022 NYFW Color Palette. (If you like, click through to the article and pick your fragrance based on the color name or description rather than the color itself, as in "Leprechaun is a wondrous green hue emblematic of the mythical imps featured in Irish folklore" or "Friendly and joyful, an optimistic yellow offering the promise of a sunny day.")
2021 ~ finished
1/15: Wear a fragrance to match Ultimate Gray and/or Illuminating, Pantone's colors of the year for 2021. ("PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating, two independent colors that highlight how different elements come together to support one another, best express the mood for Pantone Color of the Year 2021. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, the union of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is one of strength and positivity. It is a story of color that encapsulates deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly. A message of happiness supported by fortitude, the combination of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is aspirational and gives us hope. We need to feel that everything is going to get brighter – this is essential to the human spirit.")

5/21: It's World Meditation Day. Wear whatever you think fits the theme.

6/4: With A Little Help from My Friends... wear a perfume that you received from someone else, either here at Now Smell This or elsewhere, or that you never would have tried if someone else hadn't recommended it, or worn it, or reviewed it. Adapted from a suggestion by Jalapeno.
6/11: For King Kamehameha I Day, wear a tropical or beachy floral. Bonus points if your fragrance includes at least one floral or fruit note native to Hawaii. (Native in modern times, that is, given that many of the flowers and fruits we associate with Hawaii were brought from elsewhere.)
6/18: Bottle Porn Friday: wear something you bought in part or in full because of the bottle, or a fragrance you think has a beautiful (or otherwise perfect) bottle. (suggested by michael and happy888cat , this is a repeat of a project we did in 2015 and 2017.)

9/10: It's Karl Lagerfeld's birthday. Wear a Karl Lagerfeld fragrance, or a fragrance from his stints at other houses (Chloe, Chanel, etc). Or, wear a fragrance he wore (scroll down, although I am sure he wore other fragrances as well...feel free to investigate).
