Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2014

Listed below are Friday community scent of the day projects for 2014. You can find 2015 here.

2014 ~ finished

5/30 think of your favorite note, wear your favorite fragrance that features that note

6/6 wear something by Chanel

6/13 'Eau de Protection' (named for Etat Libre d'Orange Rossy de Palma Eau de Protection) for Friday the 13th: wear something that makes you feel safe and happy

6/20 Fruity Friday! Wear something fruity. Doesn't have to be a fruity floral, just something with plenty of fruit.

6/27 Forgotten friend: something you forget to wear or that you haven't worn in ages

7/4 For the 4th of July, wear something by a US-based brand

7/11 Wear a flanker. Extra bonus points for wearing a flanker of a flanker!

7/18 Sample grab bag! Pick a sample at random from among your untested samples.

7/25 Wear something by Hermès OR something by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena

8/1 Indie special: wear something indie, if you have it

8/8 Citrus!

8/15 Wear something by Guerlain (We'll repeat this in winter, eventually, so we can wear Mitsouko et. al.)

8/22 Wear something beachy, or anything you think of as "a vacation in a bottle"

8/29 Wear the last fragrance you bought

9/5 Signature scent challenge: pick a fragrance, wear it on Friday, then wear it through the weekend and again on Monday...see if you notice anything new, or if you get sick of it, or ....?

9/12 Wear something green

9/19 Wear something discontinued

9/26 Uncle Serge Day: wear something by Serge Lutens

10/3 Purgatory basket: find a sample you haven't been able to make up your mind about, give it a second chance

10/10 Wear a fragrance you discovered via a blog or other online review, and link to the review if you can. Bonus points for not linking to a review on Now Smell This, since everyone commenting here already knows about Now Smell This — hopefully this will help all of us expand our perfume reading!

10/17 Wear one of Michael Edwards' Perfume Legends (see list at end of book review), or any fragrance from pre-1992

10/24 Gender wars: wear something marketed to your gender opposite. Partial credit for wearing something marketed as unisex

10/31 Happy Halloween! Wear your quirkiest or weirdest or spookiest fragrance.

11/7 Down the rabbit hole: wear the perfume that turned you into a perfumista

11/14 L'Effet Angel...wear Thierry Mugler Angel, an Angel flanker or spawn of Angel (something influenced by Angel). Partial credit for wearing another Mugler fragrance.

11/21 Unsniffed Friday: wear a perfume you bought before you'd smelled it.

11/28 Cheap thrills! Wear something that costs $50 or below, double bonus points if it costs $25 or below. No points for wearing something expensive that you bought cheaply via a sample or decant or somesuch! We're trying to find real bargains here.

12/5 At the mall: wear something from a mall chain (Lush, The Body Shop, Victoria's Secret, L'Occitane, etc & etc.)

12/12 Wear something from Christian Dior

12/19 De-stress Friday...as we approach the holidays, wear something that keeps you tranquil and relaxed

12/26 for Boxing Day, wear a perfume you received as a present, or have given as a present, or that you wish someone would give you as a present
