French fashion design house founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, and specializing in luxury ready-to-wear clothing. See by Chloé is the brand's youth-oriented diffusion line.
Former designers include Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo and Hannah MacGibbon. In 2011 MacGibbon was replaced by Clare Waight Keller.
Their first fragrance, Chloé, was introduced in 1975 while Karl Lagerfeld was the house designer. It was followed by Narcisse (1992) and Innocence (1996).
The house is currently owned by Compagnie Financière Richemont. The license for the Chloe fragrance business is currently held by Coty.
