Love, Chloe Eau Florale ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 20 June 2012 22 Comments

Love, Chloe Eau Florale fragrance advert & bottle

Chloé will launch Love, Chloé Eau Florale next month. The new fresh powdery fragrance for women is a flanker to 2010's Love, Chloé.

In 2010, Love, Chloé overturned the olfactory codes of femininity. A stylish sillage adopted by all those who dreamt of a singular aura. ...this delicate fragrance is opening a new chapter in its story. A fresh infusion true to the original composition. A radiantly bohemian scent with an overdose of floral oxygen.

Chloé presents the latest addition to the Love family: Love, Chloé, Eau Florale…

The instantly recognisable Love, Chloé sillage has an infectious elegance. A now-legendary perfume embraced by those who love to combine style with femininity. A scent newly interpreted like a wisp of air. Delicate and refined, Love, Chloé, Eau Florale injects an ethereal facet into the original formula. Created by the perfumers Louise Turner and Nathalie Cetto-Gracia (Givaudan), the fragrance is enriched with maté leaves, offering an instantaneous freshness. A breath that introduces flowers to the heart of the perfume in a sweet pea accord. Love, Chloé’s iconic powdery signature gradually rises to the surface of the skin.

Chloé Love, Chloé Eau Florale will be available in 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

I really like those Chloe bottles, they’re cute.

Chloe has done a great job with packaging, all around.

    Floral oxygen? really?

i’d prefer some gourmand oxygen… or woody, powdery oxygen, while we’re at it

and that bottle loses a lot of appeal without the golden bottom

Boy, that is some flowery prose. My favourite part is ‘ a stylish sillage adopted by all those who dreamt of a singular aura’ – all those individualists wearing the same fragrance, imagine!

Thinking hard about that sentence. No idea what it means.

I stopped reading after the first line. Love, Chloe smells like soft flowers and fancy face powder and lipstick. How on earth does that “overturn the olfactory codes of femininity”? Maybe if by “overturn” they mean “reinscribe” …

“In 2010, Love, Chloé overturned the olfactory codes of femininity.”

Translation: Love, Chloe was on the forefront of the new wave of powdery feminines that are currently competing with fruity floral feminines.

“A stylish sillage adopted by all those who dreamt of a singular aura.”

Translation: if you don’t want to smell like fruit, cotton candy, lemonade and patchouli you can now smell classy like face cream and baby powder. Love, Chloe helped make this happen. Thanks Love, Chloe.

Haha…. the ad copy is ridiculous. Especially this line, “A radiantly bohemian scent with an overdose of floral oxygen.” The original Love, Chloe was a far cry from bohemian. It was chic, and buttoned up.

This line also cracks me up, “A now-legendary perfume embraced by those who love to combine style with femininity.” Love, Chloe only came out in 2010. How on earth is it legendary?

Also the name Love, Chloe Eau Florale is so stupid. The original was very floral to begin with, albeit powdery.

Everybody is using “Eau Florale” lately…Kenzo & Issey Miyake & Ferragamo just did one, Givenchy is about to do one for Eaudemoiselle.

You surely don’t mean to say that bohemian ladies don’t run about in beige trench coats and pumps and pearls, like the Love, Chole model did? I’m shocked, just shocked.

… and I meant to type “Chloe” instead of “Chole.”

Chocolateyes613 that “legendary” designation IS pretty funny.

This is definitely going on my ‘to try’ list, I found the two previous ones too strong and powdery. I actually love the ‘eau florale’ – it sounds so pretty!

Definitely, definitely, definitely need to try this one! Seeing as how the US is at the bottom of everyone’s launch list, haha, I could only imagine how long we have to wait for this one. Please make my thinking be wrong! Haha! : )

At first sniff I found this pretty nice but will be wearing it tonight and then I can make a better judgment, I got a sample a while ago I have yet to try. I am pretty sure thought that nothing will beat the original in m books though the flankers are pretty nice as well. I still love the original Love, Chloe though more than anything else I detect the cinnamic peru balsam and rice powders. It is beautiful and different to me as I have said many times but the flankers are pretty good which is not often the case. I think I sort of like this flanker but will see after wearing it.
