Happy Chanel No. 5 Friday! (Yes, it’s also Friday the 13th and World Kindness Day.) Our community project for today: wear Chanel No. 5, or a No. 5 flanker, or a fragrance that is related to No. 5 in some way — it does not have to be by Chanel!

I am a fail. I have at least two versions of Chanel No. 5 but I had not checked on them, much less worn them, in years, and they are not in good shape. Floral or putrid
Despite sometimes being referred to as the “king of fruits,” durian is easily one of the more contentious foods out there. As I’m writing this review, it’s the day after Election Day in the United States.* We don’t discuss politics here at Now Smell This, so I’ll just say that it’s been a stressful week (and month and year) so far. The current suspense is making me wish I were somewhere other than here, somewhere other than now, although I’m not usually much of traveler.
