Vera Wang Princess Night ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 16 December 2011 18 Comments

Vera Wang Princess Night

Vera Wang has launched Princess Night. The new fragrance for women is a flanker to 2006's Vera Wang Princess, and follows Flower Princess, Rock Princess, Glam Princess and Preppy Princess.

City lights paint the dark night sky, high heels click across dew-covered cobblestone streets. Anything is possible after midnight…

The notes feature wild berries, watermelon, raspberry, jasmine, orange blossom, plumeria, rose, sugar, creamy woods, musk and vanilla.

Vera Wang Princess Night can be found now at Macy's, in 50 ($60) and 100 ($75) ml Eau de Toilette.

Funny, I was just thinking over my coffee this morning that what the world really needs is another Princess flanker.

      Et voila!

And I’m sure we’ll see another, don’t you worry.

Generally the “night” flanker of any mainstream line is just about guaranteed to be my favorite (see: DKNY Delicious Night, Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights). However, this one doesn’t seem to be pinging my radar quite as hard.

It doesn’t really sound very “night” — we’ll see what they do with it.

Does anyone else find the name ‘Princess Night’ amusing? I mean, I can conceive of a Queen of the night, or even a dark Night Prince but Princess Night?

It does sound odd. I’m sure they were afraid to do “night princess”.

I may be of the very few who never liked any Princess ever and doubt I will?

Lol, that picture..he’s wearing that muscle tee and holding a glittery, heart shaped bottle. I think it would have been much more fitting if the woman were holding it? Lol.

      Maybe he’s the Night Princess…

You’re not alone. I did find Rock Princes only slightly more tolerable than the others and that was probably because I was overexposed to it. One of my teenage nieces loved and constantly wore it. She’s done with it and is now wearing one of the many Ninas.

Pink for day, purple for night. That seems to be the pattern. Funny that VW should release this so close to Christmas. Oh well, there is still time!

    What? Again?

This sounds so boring…like another overly sweet sugarbomb.

My ten year old diva ballerina smelled rock princess after having gone through a bottle of regular rincess, it will bein her stocking. It smells pretty good for a ten year old. All my kids are homeschooled, I’m teaching them about fashion. We look through the mags together and Ella Clare is like a little Lola (Madonna) but the 14 year old Sophia wanted a skateboard, she’s a serious swimmer. My how they change. Clare will dance all her life where Sophia wants to go to HS and be a tragic teen. Ugh. Thanks Vera

Sophia wears Acqua di Gioia and My Insolence by Guerlain of which I had an obsession with last year.

I got a Creed cut I am returning it for two Serge’s, Byredo, Seven Veils and Bal di Afrique, amazing, lots of Dyptyque. I’m so happy. That’s all I asked for….perfume. I’m running out of room on my dressing table.

Watermelon and plumeria don’t sound paticularly “noir” to me, nor the fresh raspberry notes- sounds like a bright tropical/summer fragrance.

ya, doesn’t sound very “noir”, maybe “noir” for Barbie? Midnight Rose wasn’t Midnight either, not sure what it was…midnight maybe if I was putting in a quarter for a raspberry gum ball machine in the middle of the night while not showered. If something is called Midnight or Noir, please..stay true to the title, have it really be dark, luscious, sensuous, mysterious and captivating, please!
