Perfume in the news

Posted by Robin on 10 October 2006 4 Comments

Fragrance Week, sponsored by The Fragrance Foundation, will be held October 16 through the 20th. This year, activities will be held in New York City, San Francisco and Los Angeles; for a complete list of events, see the Fragrance Foundation website and this article in the New York Sun.

A run-down on the celebrity fragrance wars in the Daily News (link no longer working, sorry!): Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely smells "like an alley", J Lo's Live "smells fun".

Chandler Burr's latest Scent Strip column gives 3 stars each to Gaultier2, L'Artisan Dzing and Thierry Mugler's B*Men.

What! 3 stars only for Dzing! I beg to differ. Will need to go check his article.

Agree, Dzing just has to get a higher rating than the JPG or the TM. Oh well!

Those Daily News sniff tests: bah! It's plain from the “too much alcohol” comment that they're asking for opinions on freshly sprayed paper strips, still damp. Totally useless.
