Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2017, part 3

Posted by Robin on 3 February 2017 18 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes limited edition bottles from Clarins, Frédéric Malle, Yves Saint Laurent and Ormonde Jayne; plus a new concentration of Lancôme La Nuit Trésor.

From Clarins, collector bottles of Eau Dynamisante, Eau Ressourçante and Eau des Jardins. In 100 ml each, at Nocibe in France.

Frédéric Malle Outrageous collector

From Frédéric Malle, a limited edition of Sophia Grojsman's Outrageous: "Outrageous is an explosion of bergamot, tangerine and green apple against a lusty backdrop of cinnamon, musk and ambroxan. It’s dramatic, festive and colorful, what Frédéric likes to call “clean sex appeal”." $150 for 100 ml, pre-order at Barneys.

Ormonde Jayne Black Gold and One collector bottles

From Ormonde Jayne, limited edition opaque bottles of Black Gold (£295) and One (£195) in 50 ml Eau de Parfum. At Selfridges in the UK, where they also have a hot pink bottle of Rose Gold (£345).

Yves Saint Laurent Mon Paris Star Edition

From Yves Saint Laurent, the Mon Paris Star Edition for Valentine's Day, with stars on the ribbon. In 50 ml Eau de Parfum, €92 at Sephora in France.

Lancôme La Nuit Trésor Eau de Toilette

From Lancôme, La Nuit Trésor in a new Eau de Toilette concentration, with citrus, berries, rose, peony, jasmine, lily of the valley, patchouli, vanilla and white musk. In 30, 50 or 100 ml. (via lancome.fr)

The Malle is cute — surprised they do not do more LE bottles.

Those Clarins bottles are as pretty as their caps are boring.

Caps! Nobody ever does the caps right, do they?

Mona Di Orio got the caps right. The caps on their new(er) bottles are gorgeous.

Wow you are right about this line’s bottles and caps. Plus, now I really want to smell their Ouhd Osmanthus. Do you know any of these? The Vanille?

It’s like they lost the pretty cap, it just doesn’t make any sense at all.

I entered the post for the Clarins picture (lovely)
But I am a fan of Outrageous! :-) and I couldn’t find it at Bareny’s Co-op last time I was in the States (I thought it had been discontinued)

    Great news for ME!! LOL

Outrageous has been moved into the regular FM line — you can now get it at any FM counter. This particular LE bottle might be harder to find, I don’t know.

I am a fan of Sonja Grossman. This Outrageous doesn’the really ring my bell, from the notes. Has anyone actually smelled this?

I am a huge fan, and I thought it was fine but not that interesting — it’s another variation on a clean cologne. I wish Malle would do another fragrance with her.

Thank you Robin! I didn’t know it was moved to the main line ;-)

Excellent point! Something to keep in mind for next year, since I have just purchased some samples from Twisted Lily (they have samples of Durga and I have no self control.)

Samples don’t count, LOL….this is how I justified saying I didn’t buy anything in all of January. Of course I now feel like I’ve deprived myself and need to make up for it, and then some.
