Speaking of exceptions to the rule, Reminiscence Elixir Patchouli, which I reviewed back in 2009, would make the very short list of patchouli fragrances I actually liked. I am pretty sure it's been out of production, but I admit I do not keep track, and I have no idea what newer versions might smell like. Here is a nicely packaged limited edition that appeared on my radar recently. £68 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum at My Origines.
I wonder if the formula changed? I still have a little tube of the body lotion, and owned the Ambre and the Elixir version of their scent. I love my patchouli scents.
Seems unlikely it’s still the same after all these years? But I don’t know.
Pretty bottle! But 100mL of Rem Patchouli is too much for me. I am very happy with the 50mL bottle I have.
It is way too much! But I did not love the regular Rem Patchouli, only the Elixir. Which might mean it is not a great patch scent 😉
Showing my age for sure with this, but I remember having a small black bottle with a plastic wand attached to the inside of the silver-coloured cap to apply the perfume – Alyssa Ashley Patchouli – if memory serves it had a thicker, almost oilier consistency than anything else I’d tried up till then – you didn’t need to apply a lot & it lasted really well. Had quite a few compliments about it too, which is always nice.
