Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2017, part 1

Posted by Robin on 13 January 2017 20 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US. Today's post includes limited edition bottles from Guerlain, Acqua di Parma, Gucci, Giorgio Armani and Ariana Grande.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire

From Guerlain, La Petite Robe Noire in a limited edition series with 15 different Kuntzel + Deygas dresses in random boxes — you don't know which dress you got until you open the box. Style #12 is shown above, you can see the rest below.

The "15 fashion show dresses" bottles are €94 for 50 ml at Guerlain. (found via Monsieur Guerlain at Facebook).

Acqua di Parma Peonia Nobile collector edition

From Acqua di Parma, a limited edition collector version of Peonia Nobile, "housed in a bottle wrapped in a stylised art deco design". £116 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum at Harrods in the UK.

Gucci Bamboo in pink

From Gucci, Bamboo in pink: "Alessandro Michele recasts the GUCCI BAMBOO fragrance in a modern expression. An updated interpretation on the classic GUCCI BAMBOO fragrance bottle packaging, the design conveys the scent's grace and femininity and captures the poetry and romance that underscores the House's aesthetic." $94 for 50 ml at Macy's.

Armani Sì Rose Signature Collector Edition 2017

From Giorgio Armani, Sì Rose Signature Collector Edition 2017 (as near as I can tell, same juice as 2016). Available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (via armanibeauty)

Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy

From Ariana Grande, a red version of her latest, Sweet Like Candy (perhaps a new juice but they sound the same): "For when you are feeling a bit more sassy, dial it up with this RED HOT fragrance the perfect indulgence to treat yourself." $49 for 50 ml at Ulta.

I am not crazy about the scent, but those PRN bottles are darling. If I had a vanity I would display them

But you could not buy more than one — you might end up with two identical ones! Not likely, but I don’t like that you can’t choose.

That red puff ball is ridiculous, but it makes me smile! I don’t need it, but I appreciate the sense of humor. :)

If it was purple I’d probably have to buy it!

Let’s hope Ariana does not do an L’eau version, so we don’t get two blue balls :)

A coffret of all 15 PRN in 5 mLs would be darling. I can understand buying blind boxes of cheaper stuff that you can trade easily (e.g. Simon Legno Tokidoki keychain collectibles) but at €94 a pop? Nope.

Bamboo hasn’t been around long enough to be a classic.

And in 20 years, it will still not be a classic.

It says “classic GUCCI BAMBOO fragrance bottle packaging,” which seems carefully worded. It IS a nice bottle.

So much pink and red! Valentine’s Day marketing runs amok.

In any case I love these Bunch O’ posts, let’s hope for a bumper crop of Very Special fragrances this year. :)

Oddly, or maybe not, there were far fewer collector bottles in 2016 than in 2015 and years prior. I did only 16 collector posts in 2016, compared to 30 in 2016 and 32 in 2015. They’re not perfect comparisons since the number of bottles in each post varies, but still.

I cannot stand the artist or her fluff(some call it “music”),but that red sculptural pom-pom disaster is actually pleasing to my eye.One purple(well “eggplant”) one for me as well,Robin!
