Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 10 June 2015 11 Comments

Estée Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge

Estée Lauder will launch Modern Muse Le Rouge, a new flanker to 2013's Modern Muse fragrance for women. Modern Muse Le Rouge is fronted by Kendall Jenner, and follows last year's Modern Muse Chic.

Estée Lauder unveils a daring new facet of modern femininity – Modern Muse Le Rouge, a new fragrance inspired by the glamorous, more provocative side of a Modern Muse. Le Rouge reflects the woman who is confident and sexy. She never goes unnoticed. It’s all about her signature color of red – which embodies her style, attitude and undeniably powerful effect.

The Le Rouge Muse dares to inspire. She commands a reaction with her boldness, timeless glamour and enviable confidence. Her style and presence always make an impression. She is bold, daring and sexy; she’s a provocative inspiration to others.

Notes for the fruity floriental include blackcurrant bud, raspberry, pink pepper, saffron, rose, magnolia, jasmine, vanilla, ambrette, vetiver and patchouli.

Estée Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. It will debut in July.

Didn’t like Muse and this one sounds worse to me with raspberry, vanilla and blackcurrant. I don’t like blackcurrant at all. I will sniff it as I haven’t lost hope in EL, yet. Sounds like another sweet, musky blah, it’s Muse for people who thought original Muse was “too grandma”.

I did not love Muse either, and Modern Muse Chic even less. But we’ll see.

Cannot bring myself to buy anything Kardashian-related, so won’t even sniff.

Doubt she was consulted in the development stages ;-)

I didnt like Muse either, it was the closest thing to a scrubber on my skin that Ive tried in quite a while. I think I tried it two or three times and it just didnt work at all on me. I doubt Id try this one, I hope theyll do more in the lovley private collection line, tuberose gardenia is one of my favorites scents.

I liked the original Muse, but never tried the flanker Chic. I do like a lot of the EL line, do I am willing to give it a try.

I love this one! It is very different from the original and has great lasting power. It opens very fruity and and drys down to a nice vanilla fragrance. A must try!!

I purchased this a few days ago and am sorry to say that the fragrance just doesn’t last. It’s a very pretty scent, but has to be reapplied after 30 minutes. Surprised because typically Estee Lauder fragrances tend to stay on for hours, but this one is super weak.

I was encouraged when I read that this had a rose note.

I was horrified when I realized that a Kartrashian is the face of this fragrance.

I smelled the three of these on Wednesday night completely by accident. (For some reason, the luxe perfume area was completely unmanned and the only SAs in sight were in the skin care area.) My initial thoughts on blotters were:

MM–okay, inoffensive but unmemorable in any way,
MM:Chic–nauseating, what is that, glad that’s not on my skin or clothes, smells like food going bad, ewww,
MM:Rouge–my mother-in-law might like this, and I wouldn’t mind a small bottle for myself.

Those feelings did not change as the blotters sat near my computer to be periodically sniffed over 48 more hours. I should read the fragrance notes on “Chic,” it was genuinely repulsing me. I liked “Rouge,” though, and don’t mind Kendall Jenner too much. :D
