Guerlain Idylle Love Blossom ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 14 October 2014 6 Comments

Guerlain Idylle Love Blossom

Guerlain has launched Idylle Love Blossom in travel retail. The new limited edition fragrance for women is a reissue of 2012's Idylle Jasmin-Lilas under a new name.

Idylle Love Blossom is a flanker to 2009's Guerlain Idylle, and was developed by Guerlain house perfumer Thierry Wasser. The notes include jasmine, rose and lilac.

Guerlain Idylle Love Blossom is available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

The name is cheesy, don’t like it..but if it helps them sell more..then mission accomplished I guess.

They could have done some interesting things with Idylle, but hey.

I don’t much care for the name, either. It makes me think of something from the Incanto or Victoria’s Secret line. But I do like the original edp and the Rose-Patchouli. Never smelled this version, however. And I agree. Interesting interpretations of Idylle would be great. It doesn’t get much love but it is a really lovely perfume, imho.

      Agree, silly name!

I wonder how Idylle sells. I thought it was lovely too, and very well done, but needed a bit more oomph (and maybe a bit less clean) to make me want to buy it.

I agree that the name is pretty cheesy but I do think the bottle is really pretty.
