Posted by Robin on 12 December 2013 10 Comments

Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight & Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight

Marc Jacobs will launch Daisy Delight and Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight, new limited edition fragrances for women. Daisy Delight is a flanker to 2007's Daisy, and Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight is a flanker to 2011's Daisy Eau So Fresh, which of course was likewise a flanker to the original Daisy. The most recent Daisy flankers were this year's Sunshine Editions.

Daisy Delight ~ Featuring notes of apple, quince flower, freesia, iris, gardenia, peony, musk, cedar and sandalwood. In 50 ml.

Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight ~ With blood orange, tiare, pink pepper, white tea, violet, raspberry, apricot, musk and amber. In 75 ml.

Mark Jacobs Daisy Delight and Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight were developed by perfumer Frank Voelkl; both will be available in Eau de Toilette.

Why does the name “Daisy Eau So Fresh” sound to me like one of those “Respect the V” products?

Not the connection Marc Jacob was hoping for, I’d guess 😉

Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight is even worse.

I admit, I own the original Daisy and like wearing it from time to time but this is getting ridiculous. The bottles look so ugly too. Like I have just entered the pajama section at Walmart. LOL. Marc Jacobs fumes are a big disappoint as of late.

It is not a bad scent at all, Daisy. I still think it’s the best they’ve done recently.

They really hit the jackpot with the original Daisy bottle. As much as I despise meretricious mass market perfume companies that spend all the money on the packaging and promotion, rather than the perfume itself, I can’t blame Marc Jacobs for doing endless variations on this bottle. If they would do it in the colors of the AG Nuit Etoilee bottle, I could die happy. No, wait – I’d also like to see one or two with matte glass. And there’s that adorable little purse size flower. This is one case (the other being the Jean Paul Gaultier torso bottles) when I say, the more flankers, the better! 🙂

Totally true — hard to blame him. His original scent is pretty and probably still his best, but bet Daisy outsells it by a mile (ok, by 100 miles). Blush was pretty too, and arguably way better than Daisy, and it got discontinued pretty quickly. He has learned his lesson re: packaging.

And agree…world needs more matte bottles, & these would be way cuter in same colors in matte finish.

I just killed time scrolling through the Daisy bottles on ebay. Disappointed there are no cheap silver editions to be had.

I always love the matte AG bottles, and they do such great colors.

Matte would be great!! Hopefully, Marc will see and take note:).

Marc Jacobs is not one to miss a bottle opportunity – let’s keep our fingers crossed!
