Ha…my very first thought was that I hoped it wasn’t powdery!

Nice to know one of us will win :-)

    Peppermint………..peppermint rose almost sounds interesting.
    The tea not so much.

I can’t decide if peppermint and rose sounds good or wierd. At least it doesn’t sound boring!

Could be fun. I hope so, I haven’t much liked this series so far.

Does anyone remember the Peppermint Rose toy franchise from the early 90s? It was centered around a girl (princess?) named Peppermint Rose, and she made peppermint rose perfume with her rabbit sidekicks. I wanted the plush rabbit with a solid perfume located in a flower on top of it’s head; I got a plastic rabbit toy/atomizer that you could fill with mix-it-yourself peppermint and rose concentrate. You squeezed its tummy and perfume sprayed out of it’s head. Smelled great, sugary but fresh, like roses in a vase full of Altoid water. Though I’m sure the prada will be much more refined.

I on the other hand is happy there’s no iris. To me, this means this might be the Infusion de that works for me. And that doesn’t smell like wet cement in a musty basement.
    The pacikng looks divine.

What a great description–wet cement in a musty basement. That’s how Iris smells on me, too. I’m not a rose fan, but I keep sniffing. There seems to be a lot of beeswax going around, too.

Iris smells like wet cement in a basement on me too – only I started liking the smell of that! Only the fact that everyone else goes ewww has held me back!

There wasn’t any iris in the Tubereuse, was there?

I don´t think so as I couldn´t smell any tuberose either..
The Vetiver was peppery and more lasting, so far I like best the Infusion d´home and Infusion D´Iris edt

In 2007 Prada created a fragrance in parfum concentration simply titled “Rosa”. Only 300 bottles were made and distributed to “friends of Prada” at their Christmas party. The ‘Rosa’ box was the same as this one (the fairy print). I had a bottle but swapped it, something I often regret as it was a stunning rose fragrance – very green and no sweetness at all. I’d like to think that this is the same fragrance in EdP but I’m pretty sure the notes are different.

That 2007 release sounds absolutely wonderful. Too bad for us that they didn’t keep it!
I haven’t liked any of the Infusion series except for the Iris, which I love and am even wearing today! So, I will keep my fingers crossed that this is a good one.

I’m so happy to read this thread. I thought I was alone in my dislike of iris. All this time, it’s felt like some huge perfumista failing that I don’t appreciate or understand it; I’ve sampled dozens of things with iris notes, each time hoping I’ll have that ‘Ah ha’ moment. But it never comes. Iris-centric scents always read as dowdy, musty and way too darn powdery for me to stomach – and I can’t wait to scrub the samples off.

You are not alone. Personally, I think most iris fragrances smell like carrots (Iris Silver Mist, that Xerjoff iris). The only iris scent I really like is Munstermann Pharmacy’s Florentine Iris, and that one doesn’t really smell like iris! The problem I’ve had with the Prada EI series is that they are way too ephemeral – gone in no time at all.

I loved my Infusion d’Iris until it got nicked out of the locker room at the swimming pool. I love rose so I hope this will be cool.

I have been pretty disappointed with this series so far – I like the Iris edt more than the edp but still don’t need it. Hated Fleur d’Oranger, and Tubereuse and Vetiver were meh at best. Homme is okay.

Hopefully this one will be worthy, because it really does sound lovely.

Rose, peppermint and beeswax all sound wonderful. I especially love Bulgarian rose. Now on my list to try! This could be the zingy Spring scent Im looking for.

Any flanker for men? I found Infusion de Vetiver so similar to the Infusion D’Homme and I’m waiting impatiently for a new flanker…

Have you tried the SL Majeste Rose? I find it quite dry and crisp, definitely not jammy. Jo Malone’s Red Rose is also great and the basic Stella not bad either. Enjoy the rose hunt :)

My favourite is Stella. It has a jammy note that balances the fresh rose and the amber perfectly.

Tubereuse last year and rose this year. I would think it’s clearly too feminine for my liking, even though I own quite a number of feminine scents. No infusions for men this year? Disappointing!

I’m not usually bothered about rose scents but I’ll try this just because it’s Prada, I’m interested to see(smell) how they’ve done rose and if it’s fizzy like d’iris

Robin, I have been trying to get a sample of this but it’s not in the stores yet – have you heard anything about the release being delayed? Or maybe is it exclusive to one store? I can’t find it online either.
