Many thanks to everyone who voted for Now Smell This in the Best Fragrance Blog category — we are absolutely thrilled to have won the Gold Award. Congratulations also go out to Perfume Posse (Silver Award) and 1000 Fragrances (Bronze Award).
There are lots of other categories; see the full list here.
so these the best ever and not just in the past year?
I thought everybody loved Cumming (I still haven’t tried it)
Congratulations on getting gold!!!!
This is my favorite blog evaaar and not just for perfume <33333
editing my comment to it actually makes sense…
So these are the best ever and not just the best in the past year?
The only ones I’ve tired are Guerlain Mitsouko and Hermès Terre d’Hermès, which I like both a lot.
I thought everybody loved Cumming (I still haven’t tried it, though).
Congratulations on getting gold!!!!
This is my favorite blog evaaar and not just for perfume <33333
Yes, best ever. And thanks!
WOOO HOOOO!!! Congratulations!
Congratulations Robin!! Woot!
Congratulations Robin, Kevin, Angela, Erin, Jessica, and I think I’m missing someone…sorry! Thanks for the great reads; the award was definitely deserved in my book!
Talk about ‘burying the lead’! congratulations! Keep up the good work!
See how cool y’all are?
Congrats!!!
Congratulations Robin and company!
and hurrah for Terre d’Hermes and JC.Ellena !
Lo.
Sorry for omitting the other wonderful contributors here – all of you make NST the special place it is. Congrats to all!
Ew, not Unforgivable!
2nd year in a row!
To Basenotes’ credit, you don’t usually see a bunch of Basenoters wearing it (or at least admitting it in the Scent of the Day thread).
Oh, and of course, many congrats on the gold!
I guess there are only so many male celebrity scents to choose from anyway, and none of them fantastic. (Unless, as someone already mentioned, we could count Cumming… Do we count Cumming? I actually felt like that was a “serious fragrance” and forget he’s attached to it–which I know doesn’t make any sense. What I think I’m trying to say is in my mind celebrity scent =crap, and if it is not crap it must not be a celebrity scent. I think I just need to stop now.)
I think Cumming won 3 years ago…and IIRC, they’ve only been doing the celeb category for 3 years.
Congrats to Robin, Kevin, Angela, Erin, Jessica! An award well deserved!
Thanks to everyone for all the kind congratulations 🙂
Congratulations, Robin and all.
Reading this blog is the highlight of my day!!!
Best,
Jill
I knew you guys would win. Looks like you need to review L’Air du Desert marocain. Its so lonely up there with no hyperlink.
LOL…I was thinking that too!
Congratulations NST team on a well-deserved gold! This is my source for breaking news on the scent front, as I’m sure it is for many others. Just because we’re not commenting doesn’t mean we’re not reading. 😉
Congratulations! In addition to the excellent reviews from all of you (and the entertaining and interesting discussions that take place between the commentators–love that), what is so great about this blog is that it is so (okay, this is really dry and technical) well organized and complete. Whenever I’m interested in a fragrance or a company, I always look it up here first and it is so easy to find! So this is an ongoing resource for me, as well as a source of breaking news and new reviews.
Congratulations all! NST got my perfumista ball rolling last year, and it’s still going! Keep up the great work.
Congratulations to everyone at NST! You all are the best!
Congrats for being recognized (third year in a row!) for all the hard work you do, and all the great writing by your contributors! I have to make a note next year when to vote — you should remind us! LOL
Congratulations! I don’t know what I did with all my time before I started coming here. You are super addictive!
This IS the best of the blogs and that award is totally well-deserved. Congrats!
Congratulations!! (Not that I had any doubts on it, this venue is supremely popular). Thanks to the whole team.
The scent choices seem to be good on the whole. Operative word “on the whole” 😉
Congrats!! This really is a terrific blog with great writers all-around. 🙂
Congrats to Robin and all the other writers at this site. Although I read many other perfume blogs (probably too many!) this is the first one I check in the morning.
Congrats on the win! I’m addicted to this site (may have been obvious and did not need to be stated)–you’re my lifeline while I’m working in my perfume-free job during the day! If I can’t wear it, I can at least read about it… I really am an addict. :0
Yay for NST I voted for you glad that the best women’s fragrance went to old Mitzy love that smell!
also the Chanel no 5 ED Premier was a nice citrus aldryhide winner that is introducing a whole new group of girl to the classic
Congrats and well-deserved!!
For your review of l’Air, you could probably just have us all write about our l’Air experience in a Lazy Poll and use that!
Again, many thanks to you all, and thanks to everyone who voted! We have the nicest readers, too: there ought to be a category for that 🙂
‘The nicest readers’ are attracted to the blog because of the care, courtesy and attentiveness demonstrated by the blog’s authors. (I find the word ‘courtesy’ so hard to spell for some reason. One of the word blind spots – have to look it up every time.)
That’s sweet, thanks!
A deserved win. You guys are great. I love this site and blog!!!!
Congratulations on winning the gold! You deserve it.
You are so modest — I would’ve made a huge blinking glittery banner announcing NST’s win right at the top of the page! (And that’s just one of many reasons why I should NOT have a blog…) I’m so glad to see you get “official” recognition on top of the huge appreciation we all have for NST every day.
Now, get on that L’Air review!
It’s a great honor, but I assume that 95% of NST readers couldn’t care less, so no point in a huge blinking banner 🙂
Congratulations!
Now, how the new Guerlain for men won is beyond me.
I will try it again soon, but in my opinion it smells chaotic and bland at first spray. Like an orchestra warming up.
what i mean is it sounds chaotic as an orchestra, not that it smells like it hehehehe
I liked it better than the men’s scents that won the mainstream awards for 2008 though!
Mazel tov NST!
Congratulations to everyone involved in making NST such as winner! (and you’re “on stage” with Mitsouko — not a bad thing). I really appreciate you so much.
Hey, bravo! Well done…and well deserved.
Congratulations to the whole team for a well deserved recognition!!! Dear NST, you’re the sugar for my morning coffee. So practically, would do without I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed 🙂
THANK YOU!!!
Congrats! Having your named featured on a list that contains the words, “Best o,f” “Mitsouko,” and “Terre d’Hermes” is heady indeed!
Congrats everyone at NST!
Thanks all!
Dear Robin, Congrats for winning the 9th Basenotes Awards. You and all the team are an excellent fragrance reference to us.
nts deserve to be the gold winner!
the only perfume blog that i really stick with, enjoy and learned a lot!!
thanks robin for being generous and more power! 😉
