Here's the promo for David & Victoria Beckham's new Signature duo:

And the advert for Kate Moss Velvet Hour. I can't figure out the music; if you're familiar with it, please comment!

Don't know what the music is on the Kate Moss ad, but at the end I thought she was taking chewing gum out of her mouth and stubbing the candle out with it! Totally offputting image.

I'm beginning to get really confused by the D&VB range. Couldn't they just use names? At least I'd remember 'Posh' and 'Golden Balls'.

There's a very funny (if a bit sophomoric) discussion of the unintentionally (we think) hilarious print ad for Velvet Hour over on Jezebel…. http://jezebel.com/5043165/

It sounds like a cover of the Velvet Underground's “Venus in Furs”, but the lyrics aren't the same.

I can't find those lyrics anywhere…or else I'm just not hearing them correctly.

I agree with Rick, and from what I can hear of the lyrics, I can't find an answer either. Hm.

Interesting — seems unlikely they'd commission a song just for this mass market scent, doesn't it? But who knows.

Okay, I'm going to hazard a guess. The classic “Venus in Furs” was recently covered, in an acoustic version, by The Kills. Ms. Moss is currently involved with the male half of The Kills. Perhaps they recorded another version (with new lyrics) or a song inspired by The Velvet Underground (velvet, get it?) for her fragrance ad?

I could be completely wrong. And now I must go back to what I'm supposed to be doing!

The Bechams film is so pointless:

    “Honey! I'm home!”

“Oh, there you are. Did you remember to pick up the dry cleaning? We needed milk and bread. Wait till you hear what Brooklyn did at school today. I've got to pop out for a few hours…”

The kills has being my most listened band for some months by now and i'd say that their style is rather different for this ad song, though if it is Kate's boyfriend alone it is perfectly possible provided that the voice resemble the one in “the kills” songs where there are male voice.

If it is not this, I'd be a little far-fetched and would say that this voice reminds me of “Modest Mouse”'s leading vocal… but I think it is too much for this case.

Will have to hope someone posts a note on YouTube saying who it is…
