The winners of the Duftstars, the German version of the Fifi Awards for best fragrance, have been announced for 2007. The awards go to:
Women's Exclusive ~ Narciso Rodriguez for Her Eau de Parfum
Men's Exclusive ~ Armani Prive Cuir Amethyste
Women's Prestige ~ Kenzo KenzoAmour
Men's Prestige ~ Hermes Terre d'Hermes

Gosh, I had no idea that Cuir Amethyste was for men!
In the US Fifis, it is up for both the men's & women's awards — they are calling it a unisex.
Wow, Serge Lutens, Bond no. 9 and Creed all lost to relatively less prestigious houses 😀
Were these german awards based on house nomination solicitations (like the FiFi's) or did the organisers choose the candidates themselves ?
I assume it is done in Germany just as it is in the US, but wouldn't swear to it as I don't know how much the various country Fragrance Foundations adhere to the same rules.
