Jennifer Lopez Glow After Dark by JLo ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 17 October 2006 22 Comments

Jennifer Lopez Glow after Dark by JLO fragranceJennifer Lopez will launch her latest follow-up to her JLo Glow fragrance, Glow After Dark by JLo, this December:

Glow After Dark...was reportedly inspired by the bond between friends, and the journey and possibilities of a 'girls night out'.

The juice — a sheer, floral musk — was created in collaboration with nose Gabriela Chelariu of Fragrance Resources. The top notes include mandarin, white cherry and passion fruit. The heart is a blend of jasmine, peony, rose and orange flower; the base features pink musk, tree moss, blonde woods and patchouli.

The Eau de Toilette will come in three sizes, and the bottle features a "silver chrome mirror finish". (via moodieport)

I find it very hard to imagine JLo being involved with a girls' night out. I can't really imagine her having galpals at all! This may be a media fantasy too far….

LOL…what I love is the “possibilities” of a girl's night out, which from the picture I imagine has something to do with it not necessarily ending with the girls…

How many fragrances has she launched this year alone? Is she going for a world record? It seems like ever time I turn around she's launching another fragrance.

She is a busy woman – this is her third, after Love at First Glow and Live Luxe.

I am still waiting eagerly for J-Lo: Glow-in-the-dark. Well, not so much waiting as much as dreading it.

A sheer floral musk? Hmm, the composition seems awful close to SJP. Oh well, if it's good, I don't mind the inspiration. Lopez seems to have some interest in fragrance, but I always pick up a bitter, chemical note. I wonder if next fragrance will be an Oriental?

Guessing it will be sweeter & fruitier than SJP, but that is just a guess, we'll see!

Hahah! I love fruity smelling perfumes!! Heiress is fruity also! It smells like an expensive version of “Love Spell” by Victoria Secret! However, the lasting power SUCKS!

Tried it at a store yesterday! This perfume is more interesting then the Live Luxe and Love At First Glow, but it wasn't special enough to make me want to buy it rightaway. I also forgot to sniff my hands after a while. J Lo perfumes tend to dry down to some really weird smell on me. :-/ Between this and the new Pairs Hilton perfume Heiress, I would much rather get this one though.

The thing about this fragrance is, when you FIRST spray it, its tolerable, but after like 2 minutes, it starts to smell nasty!! I'm in love with Heiress! Not in love with the owner, Paris Hilton though! Not anymore anyways! Not after that Macy's incident!!!

Glad it is better than Live Luxe & LAFG then, I didn't like either of those too much. Will have to try this one!

Almost anything has to be better than her first fragrance, Glow. To me it smells like the stuff that toilet paper manufacturers use.

Now see, I don't mind Glow at all. It just smells like China Rain to me — not particularly exciting, but nothing I'd be embarrassed to wear.
