Guerlain will introduce Vétiver Fauve, a new addition to the L’Art & La Matière series, next month.
The new addition to Guerlain’s L’Art & La Matière collection is a masterclass in botanical vivacity, inspired by the lush prose and even lusher landscape of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. The Vétiver Fauve eau de parfum presents tropical notes of fig, pineapple, tonka bean and cypriol in the collection’s iconic octagonal bottle, here rendered in vibrant jade-hued glass that serves as the ultimate evergreen collectible.
Guerlain Vétiver Fauve will likely be available in 100 and 200 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: Vétiver Fauve is available in 50, 100 and 200 ml Eau de Parfum ($295 - $595). From the brand's description...
For Vétiver Fauve, Delphine Jelk reimagines this traditionally dark and smoky ingredient, bringing it back to its origins. She brings out its wilder, fresher side - untamed yet refined. Though naturally dry, vetiver here is brightened with green freshness. Blended with a lush tropical fruit accord, it comes alive with vibrant, botanical energy. The result is an elegant, earthy depth - evocative of a wild creature moving gracefully through the jungle at first light.
I am intrigued by the green glass and the notes. Makes me wonder if Guerlain is still offering those customizable colorful bee bottles anywhere?
Sorry, no idea!
Only black, white and clear (with or without yellow or white gold bees) now.
A green glass bottle? Calling hajusuuri!
🙂
The original Guerlain Vetiver is a classic, although I can tell it has been reformulated. This Vetiver Fauve fragrance notes sound appealing as a summer fragrance to me. Guerlain’s prices anymore though. I just read The Jungle Book for the first time last year. Interesting that it sounds like the inspiration for the fragrance
At the moment I still have plenty of the old stuff, and to be honest, adding fig + pineapple isn’t wildly appealing to me, but you never know. I wouldn’t pay for it in any case so it doesn’t much matter.
I imagine it is probably an all new fragrance and smells nothing like the original though…not the classic Vetiver with some fruit thrown in the blender with it. The prices are too prohibitive for me to even investigate it. Even as I can afford it and if I had ten times more money, there’s my logic coming in that no fragrance is worth that much money and I’m paying for the name and bottle.
I am intrigued!
