Guerlain Neroli Plein Sud ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 2 January 2024 6 Comments

Guerlain has introduced Néroli Plein Sud, a new addition to the L’Art & La Matière series. Néroli Plein Sud was developed in collaboration with the Antoine de Saint Exupéry Youth Foundation.

With Néroli Plein Sud, the freshness of neroli takes off for a dizzying horizon of spices and woods to rediscover its Moroccan origins and spirit. Inspired by the southern voyages undertaken by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, the renowned explorer and author of The Little Prince, the Guerlain Perfumers have created a breathtaking olfactory journey between earth and sky. In response to the famous adventurer’s flight log comes a perfumer’s travel diary, written by Guerlain.

Under the Moroccan sun, high above the clouds, a vibrant, luminous ascent is buffeted by the spiced heat of desert sands, as expressed by turmeric, and cinnamon. Then, across the dunes, the trail alights among powerful, woody notes of vetiver and sandalwood.

A long-distance trail wherein the freshness of neroli unfolds with remarkable intensity.

“If Néroli Plein Sud were a book, it would be a travel diary by Antoine de Saint Exupéry.” Delphine Jelk, Guerlain Perfumer

Guerlain Néroli Plein Sud is available in 100 ($395) or 200 ($580) ml Eau de Parfum. A limited edition (the Saint Exupéry Edition) includes sketches by the author on the outer packaging and a special collector plate on the cap. 1000 were made, £430 for 200 ml.

Aha, so now we know the annual price increase! $15 on the 100ml and $10 on the $10 on the 200ml. The special edition will be $200-$205 more if it’s like the Matisse edition of Jasmine Bonheur. I have heard a comment that it also includes a big dose of honey, in addition to the neroli and spices.

Vol de Nuit was Guerlain’s homage to the Saint Exupéry’s novel, wasn’t it? I wonder if the new fragrance was inspired by Courrier Sud. I would love to try the scent!

The notes for this sound fantastic. But more perfume is sooooo far down my list of things I want to spend money on, I may never smell it….I loved Morocco because I had no allergies while I was there….
