Happy Almost-Friday and happy World Cocktail Day! And, of course, happy birthday to Stevie Wonder. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm cheating, in a way, in Hermès Eau de Néroli Doré again, but this time for another song from 1976's Songs in the Key of Life, Summer Soft. (Bonus reading today: Stevie Wonder – ‘Songs in the Key of Life’: Why It Mattered at Happy; Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life at Pitchfork.)
Reminder: on 5/14 we're celebrating Stevie Wonder's birthday (a day late...he turns 71 on Thursday). Tell us your favorite Stevie Wonder song and wear the fragrance to match.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2021, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

I’m wearing Dame Perfumery’s Monsoon, just because it’s gorgeous. I have no idea what to do for the CP tomorrow – I always have the hardest time with music/ scent projects. I love Stevie Wonder’s mimic, but have no idea what to pair it with.
Hope everyone has a great day with minimal stress.
Hope the same for you, sistine.?
I often (but not always) go with the feeling of the song — is it contemplative? relaxing? happy? loud? quiet? etc and then match that to a fragrance.
Sometimes I am incredibly literal with song & perfume matches. Other times, I do the same as Robin and look to mood or feeling for inspiration.
I am in Love extreme again, Sorry guys I am boring..but I am enjoying this immensely and when I like something I really saturate myself with it.
This week has been an art filled week. Monday I went to see the impressionist before the auction, the Monet went for over 70M! I am going to Noguchi in Queens. Mr L was picking on me that I never leave the island of Manhattan.
Sounds like a great week! Hey, nothing wrong with not leaving Manhattan. I rarely leave Madison. Grocery store and mall is a mile one way and work is a mile and a half the other way. My life is like a 2 mile circumference. Good thing, may have to start bike commuting if our stations run out of gas.?
No, You are never boring. I took these words to my heart as I tend to repeat my SOTD quite often. It means that specific perfume has something in it that You are either drawn to or comfy in!!
These words ! My thoughts exactly
Not boring at all! That fragrance sounds wonderful! I think we’ll be house twins, wearing Straight To Heaven. 🙂
I’m envious of you living in such an art centric place! The Noguchi is amazing. Have you spent time at Storm King Art Center upstate? I’ve never experienced anything else like it.
I have never heard of this. We are taking a road trip this summer to VT, should we stop here ?
Wow! Looks beautiful
If you have any other recommendations let me know
Oh, VT! Lucky duck! I adore Vermont. 🙂 My Uncle lives on Lake Champlain, it’s sooo beautiful up there.
There’s a wonderful company up there that makes great chocolate! ?
Yes, absolutely! It’s hard to describe the experience of seeing a spectacular sculpture, like a Calder or Serra as a spec on the horizon, only to discover it after a long walk (past other amazing large scale pieces). You might also really enjoy Dia Beacon – https://www.diaart.org/
Just FYI, one of my major regrets was not visiting Storm King before moving. A good friend raves about it. And gives me great grief for not going.
Wow, Storm King looks incredible! I would visit if I lived closer.
A friend of mine shakes her head at me for never going up to Storm King before moving out of NYC. She said it is the most fabulous place she’s been. She couldn’t say enough.
Oh man, I want to see art so badly!
Wearing the same perfume for a stretch is NOT boring! It just means that you are happy and you know it with that scent.
The Noguchi is great! And while you’re there, the Socrates Sculpture Park is really close by and this would be a perfect season for it.
Good morning.
Can’t wait till Saturday! Sodt is L’occitane’s Pamplemousse Rhubarb. Juicy, fresh, a little tart and bright. Its been raining quite a bit so I need a little liquid sunshine ☀️
Sunny here, I’ll send some your way!?
? sending you some
I’ll share some rays, too! ???
House twins, I’m in Un Jardin sur Le Nil. Because sun!? Blue skies!?
I’m taking my teenager to get her haircut this afternoon for the first time in 15 months. It’s the longest it’s ever been, almost to her belly button and her plan is to cut it all off and go short. I think I can understand where she’s coming from. This past year has been hardest on her out of everybody in our family. Let’s cut off the past and start fresh. She has the most gorgeous hair. Blond, naturally wavy and so thick! Literally every time she gets it cut, the person cutting it will make a comment. Wish she could just transplant her cut off hair to me, lol.
That is wonderful!! Nice thick gorgeous hair looks just as good when it gets cut!!
Oh how fun! I bet it’s gorgeous!
In the early 1980’s, (I was in H.S.), I went from waist-length hair to a shaved head, partial mohawk with bangs dyed pink & purple. Mom and I had plans to meet the grandparents at a Mennonite restaurant for dinner.
Imagine the reaction when I walked in the door! ? ?
As my mom always said, there’s a reason why I’m an only child….
Ha, I had Mohawk in black with dark aubergine sides. Fun times.. The look of your parents must have been priceless…
Sooooooo worth it!
Enjoy the hair salon. I am going myself next week
This may be too late, but with that length of hair being cut short she could donate it to Locks of Love. One of my nieces has done that twice (so far).
I hope she loves her new look!
Aww, poor kiddo. Short hair feels so freeing. I hope she enjoys her new cut. ?♀️
I totally understand her thought process. I hope she loves the new cut!
Wow. Hair down to her waist?!? I was never able to grow my hair that long back in the day.
Hope that your madtownteen loves her new cut! How short did she go?
You smell great!
Beautiful warm, sunny day! ?
Trying Diptyque Eau Capitale, thanks to a generous NSTer. Very pretty rose, patchouli scent. I will enjoy the sample while it lasts.
Having my second cup of coffee with a dash of caraway. I am glad the week is almost over.
Happy Thursday!
You smell lovely! I love rose/patchouli combinations! Gucci No. 3 and L’ Arte di Gucci are favorites.
Thank you! I love L’ Arte di Gucci. I need to find the sample I have somewhere. I have not worn it in a very long time.
There’s a reason that rose + patch is a classic combination.
No doubts about it, even though I am not a big fan of patchouli.
Morning everyone! My SOTD, and appropriate for World Cocktail day, wearing Straight To Heaven by Killian. With notes of patchouli, woods, rum, and spices. I don’t wear this often but I adore it. 🙂
Coffee consumed and I’m headed to the gym! Today is leg day – it’s going to be a killer!
Enjoy the gym and your coffee, house twin
Good morning Y’all,
It’s COLD in Atlanta today! Woke up to the 50’s? Come back spring and hurry up summer!
Went with a cold weather cozy fave….Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit. Smells like Christmas because it feels like it….LOL 🙂
Oh yeah, but when summer does arrive, it will seem like it will never end! The humidity is something else!
Well, after listening to Stevie Wonder on Spotify all week, I woke up with I Just Called to Say I Love You stuck in my head. Not my favorite Stevie song but I’m pairing it with vintage Chanel No 19, my longest worn perfume that I truly love and call on a lot…..what, too corny? Too bad, it’s the best I can do! Have a lovely, fragrant day, everyone.
You smell fantastic and I’m very impressed by your pairing 🙂
Hey – earworm twins! That’s what was in my head first thing too.
I love that song, because my parents used to sing it to each other when they were feeling affectionate. Who knows, they may still be doing it!
I think that’s an adorable idea.
I’m heading out to do actual forestry today, like I haven’t in years. So, I had to go with Arbolé Arbolé! I know there are mixed feelings about this one around these parts, but I’ve grown to absolutely love it — something about it just makes me want to bite into it!
Someone may want to bite into you ? ?
I love Arbole Arbole. You smell fantastic!
That’s a great scent.
Creed Virgin Island Water is my SOTD. I would pair it Overjoyed by Stevie Wonder.
I’m in Valentino Voce Viva, which is sweet but nice. What they’re calling “crystal moss” reminds me a bit of the vetiver in Tresor…which kind of makes me think I should just wear Tresor.
I have sample sets from Essential Parfums and Hiram Green arriving today. Let the games begin!
Rose Rebelle Respawn for my 2nd Moderna shot.
We shipped our kitchen necessities out yesterday and I’m in the dregs of packing and I keep finding random samples everywhere. My perfumes and essential oils have taken up 5 boxes total
Whoo hoo for Shot #2! Hope that your side effects are mild!
Yay for your second shot!
I moved in September, and the random things I found were unbelievable!
Good luck with packing, moving, and recovery from the 2nd shot!
Sampling Mizensir Solar Blossom and it is beautiful. Top notes are Neroli Essence and Hedione; middle notes are Orange Blossom and Jasmine; base note is Vanilla Absolute.
Debating, as always, if I need a FB…must do a side by side comparison w/ Sintra as there would definitely be overlap.
I am all about orange blossom and vanilla right now.??
???
Sintra is the clear winner btw. ehaeheh the math is done. Solar Blossom doesn’t have great longevity so I doused myself w/ Sintra in the afternoon and dayum! that is some great stuff…?
Spent a little time in Eau Premiere but now in the tiniest bit of Coco Mademoiselle Intense. My massive bottle of Pleasures has arrived and I am gazing at such a massive bottle. Wonder what an extrait version of Pleasures would be like.
Remnants of Bee, yum! Getting ready for the shower and plan on April L’Ondee, courtesy of an extremely generous NSTER.
Just curious if anyone knows if there are any other vaccines in development?
Happy Thursday!
Sorry Dawn!
I meant to tell you to go to EL’s website. They have a different Pleasures, there. ?
Cristalle Eau Verte for my day off. Had a nice walk outside and now am cooking chicken in pickling spices fe Meera Sodhas cookbook. It’s one ofy favorites.
That sounds delicious!
Nirvana Black, just an enjoyable easy-to-wear fragrance from our fun swapmeet. I’m pairing it with My Cherie Amour because it’s easy listening in a good way!
We’re off to Colorado to visit friends and relatives (all vaccinated) and I’m super excited. May not post much for the next week and a half, but you can bet I’ll be bringing and wearing perfume, even if lightly.
Have a wonderful trip!
Thanks. It feels weird to be going. But I’m (almost) ready. I’ll also be attempting to work remotely (truly remotely) for a few days during that time.
Good pairing! I agree that Nirvana Black is easy wearing. I really like White and Bourbon too. If you had told me 15 years ago that the Olsen twins would put out my favorite “celebrity” frags (and some gorgeous jewelry), I never would have believed you.
Lol, so true!
That sounds like so much fun! Have a great time!
Enjoy your trip!
Have a great time with family and friends!
Safe travels!
Have an amazing trip!
Have a wonderful time!
Have a great visit!
Happy birthday, Stevie! ❤️?❤️ I’m in Black Cashmere from the wibble wobble bean bottle. Song pairing is Knocks Me Off My Feet. I loved it from the first spritz.
Cool and overcast today. It’s 67 degrees and I’m grateful! I planted a bunch of herbs yesterday, so I’m a little sore. Still looking for Italian parsley. No one seems to have any seedlings, so I may start some from seed. We’re headed into a rainy weather pattern, so if I can’t find any plants, I will need to get my hands on some seed packets.
One of my friends here in NJ couldn’t find Italian parsley seedlings for her container garden either. Weird.
I couldn’t even find them at the big nursery in this part of town, and it’s a premiere nursery. No one who worked there knew why it wasn’t available either. ?
Galliano Brooklyn today. Trying to come up with a solution for work – it’s 80 degrees outside, but the office I’m in also houses the computers that make the store run so they have to keep it cold in there to avoid overheating them. Gonna have to find a sweater to leave in there.
It’s been ages since I’ve been in a air-conditioner-needing climate, but I remember the cardigan mini-wardrobe at work…
In a sample of PdN Angelys Pear. Despite a strange top note – maybe the pear itself? – it’s an interesting perfume experience and the drydown is quite nice.
Wearing Rochas Femme today – I’m sure there must be a good Stevie song to go with it. For my first in-person client meeting in over a year, this morning I struggled into (almost) Full Corporate Armor: dress, jacket, hose, some makeup/hair styling. I whiffed on heels, though; wearing dressy flats, as I will have to hike into their offices from off-site parking. I hope I can manage appropriate conduct, too; I’m afraid a year+ of saying whatever/whenever to the cat at home may be my undoing! 😯
Hose! 😮 No, no. Please, no. I can’t. I won’t. Too much has changed this year.
The Struggle Was Real.
My poker face, carefully acquired after years, is gone from the year+ of masking covering my judgments from the nose down! ? Hope this first day armoured up with with the social filter back on goes well.
I’ve learned that my veneer of civilization is shockingly thin!
Everyone’s veneer is. I’m not in any hurry to take my mask off.
Hose! Good heavens, not even pre-pandemic. And now, I can’t even think about them.
I hope it went well – my filter was destroyed after a few months at home.
Nishane Ani today, from my seemingly-ever-expanding stock of samples. With the ones I found at the office the other day I can spend the next few months testing ones I either have not yet tried, or tried but don’t remember. And I’m pretty sure there are a handful or two still in my locker at the gym (which I haven’t been to since COVID) Exciting but daunting!
I don’t have a lot of experience with vanilla scents, but Ani is right up my alley. A not-sweet gourmand, with some ginger and citrus. It is reminding me of Gypsy Water, but with the proportions of citrus and vanilla inverted. Maybe I should do a comparison this afternoon.
Drinking hot chai and getting up every hour to check on the robin’s next outside my kitchen window. I think at least one of the babies is ready to fledge today or tomorrow.
Oh Vee, a terrible thing happened yesterday. We have a dove nest in the wisteria right outside our dining room window. I noticed that one of the doves that has been roosting on the nest was looking a little messy–missing feathers etc. I’ve been hoping (she? he?) would make it. Yesterday, a big noise in our living room drew me to see what was up. It was our very very very bad little napoleon pussy cat knocking the life out of that dove across our living room carpet. I managed to separate the two, but I was too late. The bird died within an hour in the safe place I put it to recover. The other dove has not returned to the nest. I feel terrible about it, and not at all happy with our elaborately belled (two bells!) kitty. I think the dove must have been struggling for the cat to catch it as I’ve seen him chase doves many times, with absolutely no luck. 🙁
*hugs*
We have to remember that dosmetic cats are predators, and the number one killer behind bird deaths. And they don’t kill to eat, but just part of their play. That’s why so many cat toys have feathers- to imitate birds.
Your cats are doing what they are predisposed to do. Please don’t feel guilty over this.
Oh OF, a duck invasion last week and cat-on-dove attack this week? 😯 Maybe stay away from Bodega Bay, just to be safe.
Ede is right tho: cats are gonna cat, and sickly birds aren’t long for this world. As long as you keep those cat bells ringing, there’s no reason for you to feel guilty about this.
But also *hugs*
Oh. I’m sorry you had to see that! Domestic cats are stone cold killers.
You’ve had a rough week with the feathered and the furred.
Coco body lotion, topped with a few spritzes of Aromatics Elixir on my neck and the crooks of my elbow. Song? Why Sir Duke of course, cuz “You can feel it all over!”
Oh wow- you smell glorious!
Good one!
I’m wearing Woman in Gold today.
Smellin’ good!
Happy Thursday!
1) Cap Neroli for Sir Duke! Minty, neroli- soapy and sunny- perfect for the weather today and Sir Duke, which is so cheerful and bright!
2) Am feeling very nervous, yet focused, on the delivery of the kitchen set next week!
Good luck with the kitchen set delivery.
I bet the kitchen set will be amazing!
It was an iris day, Yardley Iris this morning and Hermès Hiris this evening.
A cold clear morning, no frost here, but I imagine there will be further south. Anima Dulcis will be appropriately warming.
Posted in wrong place!
Remnants of Bee, yum! Getting ready for the shower and plan on April L’Ondee, courtesy of an extremely generous NSTER.
Just curious if anyone knows if there are any other vaccines in development?
Happy Thursday!
Happy Thursday! I’m looking forward to trying Bee (Zoologist and Ellis).
Merck is working on a covid vaccine pill.
Hiho! That would solve the storage issues! Very good news.
SotD = Ysatis
from the vintage manufacturer sample I’ve been nibbling at for decades. It’s a grand old symphonic floral with lovely woody notes. 😀 I shall be forever grateful to the perfumer (Mr. Ropion) for this perfume.
Hey, tiffanie! I have a bottle of the vintage juice from the 80’s that I probably will never get through. Would you like some? No need to nibble. ? Ping me at nancys frags at geemail dot com if you’re interested.
oh! thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. 😀
And I just said that I need to remind myself not to hoard a travel spray!
heh heh, Ysatis is a BIG perfume, so a travel spray would last me 10 lifetimes. 😀 and 8 sprays would set off a seismograph!
You smell beautiful tiffanie!
Zoologist T-Rex for a sunny day going to workout at the outdoor fitness area – I wanted a nice big stay-back scent bubble! ?
I got my enjoyment of the day from watching two adorable and massive Chow Chows tied up there while their owners worked out.
Arnold and Charlie would bark at every passing dog – and then whine/cry like little babies when the other dogs almost unanimously chose to give them a wide berth and walk nervously on with their owners.
They just wanted to make friends, but their excitement and bear-like size was apparently too much!
Chows can be rather intimidating! ?
I agree! But a chow named Arnold does make me smile.
Sometimes ?. We had a German Shepherd – Chow Chow mix: torso and up was GS, down to the face markings and then fat stubby legs. He was the best dog ever!
SOTD = Sonoma Scent Studio Lieu des Reves
There’s an accent there somewhere in the name but I’ve seen this spelled incorrectly in Fragrantica with the “des” misspelled as “de”, but I digress. Lieu des Reves is a very pretty powdery wood rose violet tonka – seriously, what is not to love about this combination?

In other news, I got a small card in the mail today from a couple who is getting married in June. Normally, I would give it a day before opening it but I got so curious that I ripped it open. Then I did ???!!! It was a Thank You card expressing thanks for the bridal shower gift … nothing wrong with getting a TY card EXCEPT I did not give them a gift! Oh the horror! Let’s just say I looked and I was not keen on giving $$$s through The Knot website so I procrastinated and never gave them anything (I did not go to the shower). So the good news is I am going to the wedding and will be gifting generously. My question is: do I let it go or do I fess up? ?
Wow, that’s a tough one. Maybe only say something if you get a second Thank You card after the wedding?
And YES to not hoarding c/d’ed perfumes! They should go out in a spritz of glory.
I think I know what happened. The groom’s aunt and I share a very similar name, down to the middle initial and last name (her married name). My real name is a diminutive of her name. This had caused confusion before (having to do with a gift I wanted to exchange and was told they will put it back on the credit card “I” used to pay for the gift; this all got resolved in the end.
Zounds! That’s wild.
Ouch! That’s a conundrum for sure. I think I would fess up, out of worry that someone else who DID give a gift didn’t get credit for it. But it’s very awkward.
Super awkward but I will wait until the wedding and maybe just insert a little note with the card.
How about something like: “Hi [Engaged Couple], I got a TY note that I believe was intended for someone else. Since I couldn’t attend the shower in person, I thought the safest way to get my gift to you was to bring it in person to the wedding, along with the wedding gift. Just wanted to let you know so that you can send a note to whomever gave you [the item]. So excited for the wedding!”
Hopefully they mentioned the item specifically in the TY note so you can tell them and they can track down who gave it to them.
No, unfortunately, it was quite generic. That said, I will wait until the wedding and include a note with the card.
I think just let it go–someone made a mistake, and it will all be OK in the end.
Agreed it will be ok…I am likely to include a little note with my card.
Lieu des Reves is such a pretty name.
I’m with missionista, I probably wouldn’t say anything to the happy couple. They’ve got enough going on already. 😉
Very true. I’m probably going to include a little note with my card.
Is that a top view of my fav owl? Lol.
Good call on including the note with the in person wedding gift.
Lots of good advice from others, so I won’t echo; but I am SO WITH YOU on resisting just giving cash through that Knot website! I have a dear nephew getting married next month; he is also our godson, and I want to give him and his bride a very nice gift. Went on The Knot to look at their registry, and the only requests are for $$. Really not a fan of this trend. I wonder if the website takes a cut, too! So I’ll do something like a giftcard with an actual gift that they can return if they don’t like it.
I know this is old-school, and I get that they’ve been living together for a while and they have the household goods they want, but 30 years after my own wedding, I still take pleasure in seeing the gifts we received and remembering the people who gave them to us, many of them friends of my late parents who are now deceased, but who knew me from childhood. Adding anonymous cash to the bank account of an already affluent young couple just doesn’t appeal to me! Especially as we are already spending a lot of money for all five of us to attend the wedding, which is in a city that most of the family can reach by car; we have to fly.
Okay, I’ll climb off my soapbox now!
P.S. I checked the fine print, and The Knot does charge a 2.5% “transaction fee” for the cash gifts it encourages couples to request.
There is no such thing as a free lunch. Disgusting!
I love your soapbox!
I don’t think I have ever given $s through wedding gift aggregators due to the cut they take. They do have other things but for a shower, I wasn’t about to give them a $400 comforter!
Song of the Day (also not Stevie Wonder): https://youtu.be/TRqiFPpw2fY
Congratulations to the Foo Fighters on their upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
SOTD = commando for the first half, due to a dermatologist appointment. For the second half of the day, back in Gucci EdP (Clear Bottle, Brown Juice). Getting less heliotrope with this today.
I hope the derm appointment went well!
On the Gucci, do you like it better with less heliotrope?
Thanks! They told me to come back next year, so it was a good one. Also got some lotion recs and Rx to deal with dermatitis on my hands. Bet they’re seeing a lot of that with all the hand washing.
I think with today’s warmer weather that less heliotrope makes the Gucci more wearable. This seems to be a changeable perfume and I look forward to seeing what other surprises my bottle has in store for me. I do also want to try it in cooler weather and see what notes pop out.
I was shocked to hear they were being inducted. Not because they don’t deserve it, but because I can’t fathom that they’ve been around for 25 years! It all seems like yesterday..
Glad your appointment went well!
I’ve been away a bit due to various health issues (me, Mom) and cat issues. I had to put one cat to sleep on Monday and took another (new, rescue) cat to be neutered today. He is comically adorable and puzzled in his Elizabethan cone. (It’s on IG.). Today I wore Amouage Gold, which is just so classy. All I have is a small sample and now I’m fantasizing about buying a bottle.
Tomorrow I will tell about meeting Stevie Wonder in college. It’s a cute story but I still have to think of the right perfume to go with it.
Oh Calypso, I am so sorry to hear that you had to take one of your beloved kitties to the vet for a Final Visit. Hugs.
Thank you! The good thing was, I got a pet hospice service that comes to your home. I was able to sit on my porch with her in my lap, and the sun and breezes on her fur, all relaxed, as the very kind vet administered the medications to send her on her flight to heaven.
I’m sorry about your cat, Calypso. I hope the new rescue fills you with joyful distraction.
He’s definitely adorable! though he’s ready to fight all my other cats. I hope the surgery today calms him down.
Sorry for the health issues and the cat.
Thank you.
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear about the kitty. What a hard few weeks. How is your mom?
I can’t wait to hear your Stevie Wonder story tomorrow!
My mom has had some good days and some bad days. It’s a challenge. I saw her today and she was very good! Thanks for asking.
I’m so sorry about your kitty, Calypso.
Looking forward to your cp story tomorrow!
Crazy day today, and totally forgot about the CP. I wore Coriandre because I biked to and from the new job. 25 miles today! I feel very tough now. 🙂
Wow! ??
Every night when I lay my head on the pillow, I think of making my own, tiny batch of perfume… I have been thinking and thinking almost every night for months now, imagining that one day I would even own my own, little indie brand. I will share a little secret of what names I have for three fragrances I’d love to make: Chocolate Orchard – basically my love for chocolate covered fruit expressed in this wine. I want to include notes of orange, apple and maybe pear or peach with a smooth base of ambered chocolate. Lavender in rain – the name says it all. Lavender, more lavender and earthy, woody base. The last of my imagi ary trio (hopefully to become the real thing if possible) would be Thunder & Lighting – notes would include lemon blossom, lemon peel, lime (that is the citrus brightness of the lighting) and murky waters, sweet ink and earthy amber to recreate the impression of a rainy, stormy day.
Oh, what a wonderful fantasy, and I really like all of your proposed scents, but the last one especially catches my imagination!
Thank You very much!! Now I tried making perfume with essential oils when I was a teenager and thought everything was easy well… It wasn’t. My frags came out horrible. This time around I will try to read more about the true process rather than mixing a bunch of expensive essential oils!! I will get to it, for sure.
Basically mo love for chocolate covered fruit expressed in this one*
Wore some nuxe huile prodigieuse as my sotd. Perfect day for it!
Especially with the new perfume post that Robin had earlier today! ?
I saw that after I decided what I was going to wear today! Time to use some of my neglected oils.
I am so sorry, now I realised it was the oil that You used – nice that You had if already. May I ask You how is the oil?
It’s light-weight, not sticky; a dry oil, if you will. To me it smells heavenly, somewhat tropical but not overpowering. I also use it on my hair so it is multipurpose.
Oh wow so You already have some of the new Nuxe perfume? You are way ahead of the game 🙂
Serendipitous – I wore the NHP oil in my hair today. I love the scent and the weight of the oil.
It was warm today, so I copied a little from Madtowngirl, and wore Hermes.. the Toit one. Too lazy to look at the name. I am looking forward to having tomorrow off.
Lol. I hope your heart test went well!
I love so much of Stevie Wonder’s music, but the song that always makes me smile is one of his early hits, “Up-Tight (Everything is All Right).” Love that horn section! One of the lyrics goes:
She says baby everything is alright, uptight, out of sight
Baby, everything is alright, uptight, clean out of sight
She’s a pearl of a girl, I guess that’s what you might say
I guess her folks brought her up that way.
So my SOTD will be Donna Karan’s Cashmere Mist Pearl Essence, one of my first blind buys when I started this hobby. It’s a lovely soft white floral with a base of sandalwood and musk.
