A very "happy" Punctuation Day to you!!!! What fragrance are you wearing?
Me: a double Hermès sour, in layered Eau de Pamplemousse Rose and Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate.
Reminder: on 9/27 we're going to Flavortown...wear a scent that you associate with one of the five basic tastes (sweet, sour, salty, umami or bitter). Triple bonus points for starting on Monday and doing all 5. Suggested by Regina.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2019, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.
Note: the lemon tea service items are from Zara Home, and although they only came out this past spring I believe they've mostly already been marked down and sold out, but you'll have to shop around. At the moment, you can find entire set in Ukraine, and a few items in Albania.
I’ll probably go with those as sour, then, as they’re “Robin-approved” for that category.
At the moment, I guess I’m on the sweet side again with Berdoues Peng Lai.
I figure anything with enough lemon, lime or rhubarb works!
For the afternoon, I went with Eau de Pamplemousse Rose. My fragrance is sour, and my mood is salty. For her birthday, Mom decided that her present to herself would be having me do something that stresses me out. It’s finished, and I’m trying to relax again. I’ll probably read for a while, maybe a romance where I know the protagonists will be all right at the end of the book. Watching the news lately has *not* been relaxing. I’ll just leave it at that.
In the evening, I was trying to figure out umami. I couldn’t offhand think of a fragrance I had that had a savory meat or mushroom smell. I tried Jovan Musk. I found it pleasant enough, but wasn’t especially in the mood for it. It didn’t strike me as particularly meaty, either. I tried Safran Troublant, and that didn’t seem like a savory scent per se. To me it was sharp. Not unpleasant, but certainly different from my ideas of perfume.
I’m doing bitter today, wearing Silences. I love the bitter green scent.
I thought about wearing Silences for bitter too! Might do that later this week.
Oooh, lemony goodness! My sister has a thing for yellow at the moment, this would be a great BD present for her…
SOTD = Memo Tiger’s Nest, not lemony in any way, or ever sour, but interestingly fresh for an incense perfume. I love this stuff.
You smell great, I love Tiger’s Nest.
Me too. You smell fabulous.
I have a travel spray. It’s a great incense scent. I will be wearing mine soon but it isn’t cold enough here yet. You smell great!
Thank U Petunia.
Nice choice for sour. I thought of Jour d’Hermes, but Eau de Rhubarbe Écarlate may be even better.
I am doing salty – D.S. & Durga Cowboy Grass.
And there’s the L’Occitane rhubarb / grapefruit one…
Flavor: sweet
Tea Étoile Mystérieuse by MF
SOTD Guerlain Parfum Initial
Shalimar body powder more for the keeping the body parts dry in the heat today
Lips red By Kilian lippy, its smell like a sweet orange blossom candy
I have not tried that MF, is it good? (Tin sure is pretty)
Yes, but if I remember correctly you found MF teas too much and had to cut them with other tea..
Some of the sweeter flavored ones, yes…but do like a few of them, and they have wonderful non-flavored teas as well. And the best tins in the business
I’m doing sour today in my new swapmeet decant of Eau Dynamisante. Yum.
Thanks for the well-wishes on my vacation last weekend! It was wonderful. While I was there, I stopped at an antique shop and picked up a $2 vintage perfume and I’m having trouble finding any information about it. It’s in a small glass vial and the only information I have is from the tiny label on the bottom of the vial, which says:
“Orgel Bros.
Dist
Perfume #9
1 Dram
Washington, D.C.”
It smells to me like a men’s fragrance – it’s spicy (I get something like clove or maybe myrrh?) and clean-powdery in a retro-barbershop kind of way. It has a sweetish base that I’d guess is tonka and/or vanilla. Anybody know anything about this perfume or when it was produced? I couldn’t find anything about “Orgel Brothers” on Fragrantica or Basenotes. A cursory Google search turned up next to nothing.
Glad your vacation was wonderful!
I hope somebody can help you figure out your mystery perfume. I’m not on Facebook, but I’m sure there are perfume groups and maybe if you posted a picture somebody would recognize what it was.
I figure if anybody would know, it would be the NST hivemind!
I might also try posting in the Fragrantica forums. I’m not on facebook either, so my next step is trying to track down a directory of vintage perfumes. Such a thing must exist, right?
Update on the mystery perfume from a Fragrantica forum user:
“Orgel Bros had a mail order fundraising company. I would assume that the line of perfumes were knockoffs of popular scents of the period (1960s) and were available in these catalogs. The company marketed its fundraising catalogs to fraternal organizations, PTA groups, church auxiliaries, etc.”
Interesting piece of history!
Attempting ummalummagumma (©BobH) with the somewhat savoury Like This by ELdO.
I almost didn’t recognize you.?
Ha! Back to normal now…
Sweet buttercream frosting for me today in 24, Faubourg.
Buttercream frosting is the best. I bet you smell wonderful.
Chanel day 2, I’m in Box of Eels today. Almost forgot how good this one is. I may just do a whole week of Chanel.
This is the last week of my online class and I just have a final paper to do. It’s gone fast and unless I massively mess up my paper, I have a very good average going.
Chanel-lo! I love the sandalwood in that one. enjoy!
You smell divine!
Me too! Went with La Pausa, which is classy, but might not be able to stand up to a whole work day.
The dentist appointment didn’t go so hot yesterday. Need two crowns and a tooth pulled. My dentist said that the tooth that needs to come out, needs to come out before the crowns can get out on. I am not so sure about what she said about my health insurance not covering crowns. How are crowns considered solely cosmetic when the restore function to a tooth? I don’t want to lose more teeth and at $420 without health insurance covering it, I am flipping out a little bit. Then I am saddened that Dior decided that Diorling is going to be discontinued and apparently it’s been discontinued for a while. I am wearing Tigress Musk right now and going to take advantage of the STC sale.
Sounds like you need to call and verify coverage. My insurance always covered 50%.
That seems crazy that the dentist would classify crowns as cosmetic. I know most of my past dental plans cover crowns at 50%.
The insurance I have is incredibly strange on what it will and won’t cover. I don’t think I will talk to them right now. When I am a little calmer, I will.
Dawn, I am sending you empathetic hugs. My own x-rays look very much like the Terminator’s – more metal and composite than actual bone and enamel. I use all of my dental coverage every year, and end up having to pay on top of that. Health insurance in this country is so broken, and so frustrating. When an insurance adjuster is the person who decides whether or not a procedure is medically necessary, you know we are in trouble.
I ditto Cazaubon’s advice. Some dental insurance won’t cover crowns made of certain materials (similar to an rx formulary),. Your dentist may not work with the approved materials so it could be a matter of going to a dentist who will work with the material that is insured, at 50% or whatever, etc. etc.
Oh no. So sorry Dawn. I think you’ve got good advice already, hope it works out.
Called up my insurance and couldn’t get an answer but I do have a plan to get them to pay for it. Can’t afford to lose more teeth.
That’s too bad about your dentist appointment. I hope that things will work out for you Dawn.
Cool, crispy, sunny, windy day. Good bye my dear Summer! Welcome Autumn! ?????
Wearing Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir. It fits the day nicely.
We still have a few days of high 70s and low 80s coming up! ??? Savoring each one!
Waiting anxiously! ???
Pom Noir is a great pick for fall!
It is one of my fall favorites!
Overcast and cool. Wearing Guerlain Encens Mythique.
Perfect!
you smell fabulous!
I love that one
*and* like a Rich Lady!
Going green with Chanel no. 19 and using all my willpower to avoid over spraying (will save that for a non-work day)!
Like trying to leave the chocolate in the drawer
Chanel Bel Respiro
You smell serene.
SoTD is Coven black bottle by Andrea Maack. Found a sample that was leaky and perfumed the whole container.
Man is this goooood! I am claiming the clove and vanilla as part of the CP as spicy and sweet.
This is green and fresh and really nice.
ElisaP sent a sample of Coven to me. I remember a mint note, possibly spearmint.
I get that cool mintiness, too, but it registers as something like palo santo to me, which has a wintergreen-ish freshness to it.
Exactly! You nailed it!
Yes that’s what it is!
In the dry down for me.
Pressing repeat with Bangale Rouge.
I have to adult today and I’m not liking it.
Hey Twin. I am sampling Bengal Rouge for the first time today. I think that the opening has some similarity to Felanilla. I need to do a side by side. Considering that I only have a dabber, the sillage and longevity are pretty amazing. We smell great!
Yes we do! ??
I have done much adulting today myself, most of it financial. It is not my favorite thing. I will compensate with chocolate peanut butter ice cream tonight, which I guess is childing?
Nice to have a perfume that makes adulting less of a PITA.
I’m wearing Sel Marin for salty. I admit I am totally just basing it on the name; nothing I own really SMELLS salty to me. I did recently get a sample of the new Zoologist, Squid, which might come close, but also I haaaaaate it. My husband really likes it and I’ve had to ask him to refrain, which NEVER happens.
I’m curious, what do you dislike about it? It’s one I’m waiting to try, and have been wondering about.
LOTS of benzoin sweetness, which IMO meshes unsettlingly with the briney notes.
Oh, that does sound odd.
I didn’t like it at all either.
(I am still happy with the house, better they take risks than please everyone all the time!)
I have samples of Squid and Chameleon on the way, I’m looking forward to trying them. I’m always interested in trying what Zoologist creates, even if I don’t like it (TRex almost gagged me.)
Whereas I could bathe in TRex. Ah the marvelous mysteries of personal taste.
I love Chameleon and bought the travel spray. I’ve worn it a lot.
I’ve noticed that salt notes are very short lived for me. Maybe the same is true for you?
I’m in the sweetness of Perris Monte Carlo Ylang Ylang Nosy Be. I got a decant in a swap and it’s got such a glorious opening- ylangy-y and almost a smokey, woody smell. It fades to vanilla pretty quickly, and though I’m not a huge vanilla fan, I like the vanilla used in this one.
Oh, I just love that one, love it! Their patchouli is also to die for!
I think they’re a bit underrated. I’ve at least liked most everything I’ve sampled from the line with the exception of Ambre Gris and I wasn’t wild about their musk one.
I am wearing Hinoki, but may switch to something sweeter this evening.
Thank you all for the lovely messages yesterday for the job interview
I think I did pretty okay. People were nice, office is clean and spacious, and nearby (20-25 minute commute, and by bike my estimate is 15 minutes) and a job that fits me perfectly. But I have nooo idea of my chances. They have more candidates of course. More news later this week…. I hate waiting.
Last weekend was sunny and warm, but fall has arrived ?️☔?
The upside of cold and dreary weather: coats, scarfs and boots, and stews and hotchpots for diner! ?
Yay for boots and sweater weather!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!
I’m not that fond of grey skies and the darkness so often associated with autumn and winter in our part of the world. However, this country needs rain, badly. So that is what I keep telling myself whenever another outpour starts. Plus it smells so good outside now.
Yes Autumn smells awesome! And I love it when the trees change colour and the woods turn orangeredbrownyellow ??.
But the darkness somtimes is an energy drain for me.
I struggle with the short days as well. But all in all, I do better in colder temps.
I also think that autumn (and spring) has/have the best colours.
Good luck Jiji!!
I had planned to do salty today but as I was getting dressed I thought salty doesn’t seem to fit with my outfit haha. So I’m in Olfactive Studio Panorama for bitter greens in the first few minutes off the perfume. It turns more laconic with creamy greens soon after. I’m not entirely sure about it. It reminds me of either some other perfume(s) or something I’ve smelled in my life. I wish I could figure it out.
That one reminded me of salad, lol. Nice, though!
Yeah, I’m not loving it. ☹ I may end up using it as room spray.
I do that too. I am currently using a small bottle of PW tearose for that purpose.
Greens are good for that. That’s how I use Herba Fresca- I like the smell, but don’t enjoy wearing it that much for some reason.
I’m wearing By Kilian Rose Oud for sour. I find this an odd yet appealing mix of sweet and sour. I entirely prefer MFK Oud Satin Mood for a smoother rose-oud combination, but the almost sharp sweet/sour juxtaposition of the Kilian is what makes it a better candidate for sour. In general I do find oud a sour note, so I felt this would qualify.
Have you tried the new BK, Rolling in Love? I am curious about it
No, I haven’t kept up with them for some time now.
I am just back from the dentist and still numb on one side. Wearing Salome and petting the kitty on my lap.
Yuck to that numb feeling but yay to a lap cat you can pet. My kitty likes to be near me but not on me, sometimes I miss that.
Ugh, that’s on my schedule for tomorrow.
In Calandre today for bitter. It’s a recent blind buy based on comments here and Fragrantica reviews. Green and herbal.
Nice.
Happy Tuesday!
Am in Amelie Mae, some fruity/rosey fun on this grey to sunny day!
It is gorgeous here, but fruity rosey fun is always good!
Gorgeous Tea Set!
SOTD = Gucci Memoire d’une Odeur
I am continuing my tandem CP of wearing a new acquisition (within the past six weeks) and identifying which taste(s) it covers. On me, it’s minty jasmine musk with a bit of bitterness, low sillage and very office (jada’s Perfume Grinch would approve, nebbe can wear this without using a hidden spot and neyronrose’s parental units will not object to it ?)
https://www.instagram.com/p/B2zQVoWh8Oo/?igshid=12bpq4i8vmn2y
Starting ? ? ? day next week, I will be back working (same job) at one of our midtown NYC locations. I am looking forward to it but somewhat sad that I won’t be seeing much of some of my colleagues.
In other news, thegoddessrena mentioned signing up for Sniffapalooza. I think I will do the Saturday event again (creature of habit and all that plus I need a weekend day to myself to recharge for the following week). Anyone else thinking of going?
In more other news, I assembled 4 boxes/bags worth of items to donate to the United War Veterans Council. The items should already be picked up by the time I get home. I was having a hard time letting go of clothes (I came up with about 30 something pieces) and will need to come up with a drastic clothes downsizing plan. For those of you who have done it, what questions did you ask yourself, besides when was the last time you wore the item? Any help is appreciated!
Mostly I think about how wearing the item makes me feel. If there is a fit issue where I feel the least bit unhappy or uncomfortable, it goes out. If it doesn’t go with anything else I own, or I have a similar item I prefer, it goes out. If it makes me feel frumpy or blah, it goes out. Often I find something I like and then buy ten of them. I only allow myself two of any one garment now (like two different colours of the same sweater). If you have far too many of the same type of item, think about how many you would wear between wash days and only keep that many.
I’m like you with the buying the same thing in many colors, sometimes more than 10 ?. My tastes have changed over the years and I now prefer v-necks vs round necks. I think I have my spring and summer outfits set and with the work dress code having changed towards more casual, I can dress up or down the mix and match pieces. Fall and Winter …I may also have Fall as well but they are more varied and don’t really have a theme. I will compile yours and everyone else’s questions and rank order them into order of importance as I assess my wardrobe. Thank you!
I think cazaubon covered it. To me, it’s about wear and tear, fit and do I or would I reach for it? Sometimes I have kept items that are too tight simply because I love them. And I live in hope. I have a blazer like that. It fits pretty well now, so I’m glad I have it.
If something is too big, I’m going to get rid of it. It helps also, if it’s something nice, that it may give pleasure to someone else instead of being second fiddle in your closet. I have given away very nice dresses that I realized I simply don’t enjoy wearing.
Thank you. The giveaway pile included the over over sized ones that I couldn’t fathom how they even looked halfway decent in me. I also have some too small ones that I know need to go because my tastes have changed.
The bottle is very pretty but I’m not too sure about mint notes in perfume.
I hope you get some well deserved time for fun pursuits this weekend!
I am with you – I can’t decide if I get anything at all after the first few minutes.
I would love to pick up some jasmine. Maybe I should do the multi spray approach as H suggests. Like 8 sprays…. at Sephora.
I say do it ?. I can normally detect indolic jasmine (mothballs to my nose) and almost anosmic to other types. This one I got right away (non indolic).
Now that I think about it, the mint is more bitter than airy, if you know what I mean.
Weekend pursuits remain to be determined. Probably lunch with the family on Sunday ince I hear back from Nordstrom (it’s a free lunch and I’ve invited 2 more people than the norm. Heh, Inalways like to push the envelope ?
Yes! I thought so too, but it started out minty or at least sweet(er), then it changed to a more bitter feel.
I will give it a go again tomorrow.
I am amazed at how much perfume Sephora carries now.
My clothing 101
1. Take everything out of your closet – this is a good exercise as you’ll probably find things that you didn’t even remember that you had.
2. When you say to yourself when you see a piece of clothing “why don’t I wear this anymore?” to “what was I thinking”? Immediately put the item in the Discard Pile
3. f you haven’t worn something because you’ve been meaning to fix (button, hem) fix it now or else it will probably spend another season in the state it’s in.
If you want to get all emotional does this spark joy to me blah blah Marie Kondo style (no offense to anyone) If it sparked joy to you once that’s why you have it in your closet. People love to have these “rules” of tidying up, but not me, I find her devotees suffering from some deranged obsession.
Ah, yes! I have a few things on the “fix” list that *never* get fixed. Thanks for that reminder!
My closet has mostly more business outfits that I used to wear to work because I was at headquarters even though my function and most of the building, except for the client facing folks, were business casual. If I’m in the same building as the CEO, I better look the part! I won’t be at headquarters when I return to the city next week sonI think I can just keep 7 days’ worth of the business stuff and a few blazers that can transition from business to business casual.
The Mariekondo method will make me aplopectic.
I have a pair of hokey jeans that I love and bought iron on flower patches to cover up some of the holes – this will be a fun project for sure and if I mess up, buh- bye favorite jeans!
Not hokey jeans – hoLey!
For me it is about the last time I wore it, but more so the reason it’s been so long, like cazaubon and LizzieB pointed out more specifically. Usually it’s a comfort/cut issue, sometimes a color issue. I’ve bought stuff because I like the color and it seems fine in fluorescently-lit change rooms (if that’s possible, lol) only to try it at home in natural light and it makes me look grey or washed out.
Can’t you return these? I think if a piece of clothing is too hard to match with another item, it will go poof as well!
Good advice from everyone…when I retired a few years ago, I did a drastic closet overhaul. It was easy to pare down the number of suits and office clothes, but the rest seemed overwhelming. So, I did it in categories–all formal wear, all dresses, all sweaters, all pants, etc. That made the task easier and when I saw all the “little black dresses” on my bed I nearly had a heart attack (the curse of a large closet, things live in there forever). I even had two with the tags still on them. I tried everything on, examined for fit and wear, checked how similar to other items, then picked the very best and said goodbye to the rest. Some really good/nearly new items I took to a consignment shop, most of my business wear I gave to a program in my area that works with homeless/single women to help them get back to work, and the rest to the local vets organization. Boy, do I feel good and I could probably host a small party in my newly cleaned closet.
I also own many black dresses. And I almost never wear black at all…
So I just bought a little black dress that will replace 4 or 5 Tencel dresses that I couldn’t locate yesterday; those are going! Also, since I intend to go on more cruises, I am keeping the dresses I know I will wear and get rid of the others.
I need to find consignment shops in my area!
I’ve done the Marie Kondo thing a few years’ back but now I”m realizing that I simply am both tired of my work clothes, but at the same time, I’m also attached to some of them (colorful Boden skirts! They go with nothing!!) because we have a history by now
I have an attachment to company logo shirts commemorating participation in events. I think I need to let go. And the Life is Good shirts? How many of them can I possibly wear?
About the only things I might add about clothing clear outs are: if something is too small, let it go. If it is really outdated, let it go. Example — a blazer with giant shoulder pads. The 1980’s aren’t going to come back in that way.
Good point, jalapeño.
I just saw that you said it was a perfume that even my folks wouldn’t object to! Ha!
I read the interview with Ellena on Fragrantica. He said Kelley Calèche was, in effect, practice for Cuir d’Ange, which took 10 years to create. Since I have both, I sprayed KC on left and dabbed Cd’A on right wrists. I had to dab because I lost the sprayer nozzle on Cd’A. I think the latter is just too powdery for my taste. The “ange” is too prevalent I guess. So, despite Ellena seeming to discount his KC, I still prefer it. It’s more floral. Less powder. Makes me happier.
Opposite here – I love the “ange” and find Kelly too shoe polish-y. But I could see how a leather lover might just feel that there’s no leather left in cuir d’ange.
Wearing Beyond Love, which I love. Not my favourite tuberose, I can never make up my mind which one of my tuberoses I like best. But a gorgeous rendition nonetheless.
I’m still adjusting to normal life. I had such an absolutely wonderful time in France that my head seems to still be there.
First autumn that will be without exam stress, and I’m so enjoying that. Even though I may never actually need this degree, it feels good to have obtained it.
Oh wait i missed something, what degree?!!
(I miss France as well….)
Translation.
I’ve always loved France since living there in the late eighties for a year. But the past two weeks were pretty much perfect. I actually got a great view of Lake Geneva as I walked to get my bread. It’s those little things.
I have never in any way “needed” my degrees and can’t imagine not having them, so I am sure you are right!
It’s different in this part of the world, or it mostly has been. Mind you, in most countries you can’t practice medicine without a real degree, and that has always been my bench mark.
I’m in sweet again, wearing Kyse Perfume’s Oui Plus! Gourmand haters, run – notes are graham cracker, marshmallow, cocoa absolute, peru balsam, patchouli, styrax, and burnt coffee.
I am a walking s’more.
WOW.
Burnt coffee though…that could make that a tolerable level of sweetness?
Yes you are! ?
?
Very cute description! I can see you strutting.
SOTD–has to be lemon, so Fragonard’s RIVIERA/RIVIERA. Still summer here, wish the fall breezes would blow. Am alternating paying bills and researching my next vacation (just to keep me sane).
What vacation destination do you have in mind? (I just returned from a short vacation and am not feeling ready to transition back into normal life yet. Please allow me to dream with you…)
It’s looking like the next 7 days are going to be summer-ish for me.
What a sunny, cheerful tea set!
Hi, NST, I’ve been absent on and off lately and didn’t check in about the CP. We have a couple pleasantly cool days before it heats up again and I’m wearing Mauboussin Histoire d’Eau, an early fall favorite. I wish spicy was on the list, that’s all I want to wear this time of year.
Agreed! I have way more spicy perfumes than any of the listed CP categories.
Reminiscence Vanilla for the sweet flavour. This is nice and office friendly and not too sweet. I think i will do sour tomorrow
It is a shame the brand was sold, they did such a nice job. (Although for all I know, they’re still fantastic. Their latest oud + aquatic just looked yuck to me)
Not sure that their “Patchouli” survived, which is a pity.
Ah, did not know that.
For salty/unami I am wearing Greenwitch because of its seaweed
Double points!
I’m not on project today and also it is about 80 degrees this afternoon where I live, so I feels I should be wearing something summery, but I just got the mini bottle of AT L’Air des Alpes Suisses, so I had to see what it is like. It definitely has the Tauer base and I am getting some pine and a little wood. The floral part is not that strong on me. I am smelling a bit of powder, too. It all seems to come together well. I’ll have to see what I think of it a few hours from now.
Interesting! I sampled L’Air des Alpes Suisses yesterday and it was ALL about the flowers on me. I did get the signature Tauer base, but was disappointed that the woodsy notes died down fairly early on my skin.
So not love?
Not love. I think Andy Tauer does masterful spicy, incense, and amber perfumes, but so far I don’t like his florals (Orange Star included)
Thanks. I did not love Orange Star either.
On topic, by pure chance, with Aedes de Venustas, from the spring swapmeet. I have two small decants but I’m lusting for a full-on bottle of this.
Punctuation day – just as I was planning a comma workshop for my students!
Last fun fact for today: I met the dogs that modeled for the dog in “Coco” today at the dog park. Assuming the owner didn’t make it up.
The model for the animated dog? Cool, but would indeed be easy enough to make up.
Hello! I’m wearing Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterranée. I’m in the middle of reading “Perfume” by Jean-Claude Ellena, which is much better than I expected it would be! Anyway, I thought I would wear some of his frags while reading the book, sort of as an accompaniment.
You smell great!
I think that is my favorite in the “Jardins” series.
Good news and bad news for me today. The good news: my sore throat is almost gone this afternoon. The bad news: I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. So I definitely have some kind of crud. Bummer. ??
SOTD = Byredo Pulp, from the sample stash. On me, it starts off sour and ends up sweet. So that’s a two-fer! ???????
Oh no! Hope you feel better soon!
Thanks PL67!
Yikes! I hope you get over it soon!
Oh rats! I hope you feel better tomorrow.
Oh boo…hope it is a short lived crud.
It’s a few hours later and my few dabs of L’Air des Alpes Suisses hasn’t changed much. I do like it, but nothing unique seems to be jumping out at me. I’ll have to put it on again in colder weather to see what happens then.
Late check in today. For sweet, I’m in Imaginary Authors Saint Julep. It’s great for the humid weather.
Went to Ulta and milled around. Tried Idole and the new Gabrielle; didn’t care for either of them.
I’m hoping everyone had a good day. Off to read the comments. ?
Humid weather can make choosing a perfume difficult. I’ve had some get Godzilla-sized on me in hot humid weather. ?
Started out in DG Light Blue Sun thanks to a trip to Ulta- liked it more than I care to admit but y’all know I’m a sucker for a summer/beachy scent. This evening am in Wood Sage & Sea Salt for the salty vibe!
A fomer work friend of mine used to wear Light Blue and she smelled wonderful! I say wear what you like.
Wearing Orris Tattoo tonight; it jumped into my hand so I sprayed away. I haven’t worn it in forever so it’s really hitting the spot.
Hope everyone is having a good week so far!
Wore Un Jardin Apres la Mousson today — our weather is cooling a bit (still up to 90 today) and is less humid than it had been, and it smelled great. It’s not cool enough here yet for more autumnal scents!
