Oscar de la Renta Bella Rosa ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 5 January 2019 4 Comments

Oscar de la Renta will launch Bella Rosa, a new fragrance for women, in February. Bella Rosa is a followup to last year's Bella Blanca.

Bella Rosa was developed by perfumer Harry Fremont, who noted:

Inspired by the beauty, charm, and grace of the Oscar Bella woman, I wanted to create a fragrance that was romantic, feminine and flirty with a playful, sensual tonality weaved through. The vision was captured through an elegant and sensual feminine fragrance that contrasts soft and luminous fruits and florals with sleek textured woods and an airy gourmand.

Notes for the floral fragrance include pink pepper, freesia, mandarin, rose, jasmine, orris, patchouli, sandalwood and amber.

Oscar de la Renta Bella Rosa will be available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and probably other sizes as well.

Sometimes I feel bad for the perfumes that don’t get any comments. So….
That’s a really pretty bottle. Oscar generally puts out nice scents. Will smell it, if I see it 😀

You feel bad for the scents? They don’t mind! They are going to sell or not sell anyway :-)

The original Bella Blanca actually did really well this past Christmas season. Now that it’s being distributed by Clarins in Canada, it’s not a brand that’s being left in the shadows of other scents. For the flagship, we ended up completely selling out of it twice. Most people’s reaction when showing Bella Blanca was “oh, a new Oscar?” In the sense of loving Oscar the classic fragrance they have association with and want to try it or “Oh! This is Oscar? Smells really pretty!” Not knowing that Oscar De La Renta has fragrances. So it was either a new venture for old die hards being reintroduced to the brand or younger that have never known anything about Oscar De La Renta fragrances and being pleasantly surprised. I think this new one is going to do really well in keeping up the youthful stylish and elegant vibe going. Bella Blanca to me is like an inexpensive version that’s slightly different to how ChloĂ© smells, but less floral and more pear. This new one sounds like it’s going to be a real nice addition to the revival of Oscar and hope of success for the fragrance division of the house. I’m actually quite excited for this coming out.

Interesting. I don’t pay much attention to the brand.
