Oscar de la Renta Bella Soleil ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 15 April 2025 2 Comments

Oscar de la Renta has launched Bella Soleil, a new fragrance in the Bella series for women. The last in the series was 2023's Bella Tropicale.

Inspired by Oscar de la Renta's sun-drenched gardens in the Dominican Republic, Bella Soleil captures the spirit of a luminous oasis. Bella Soleil joins the Bella fragrance family with seductively edible notes of mango and tropical citrus that bloom into tiger orchid and jasmine.

The solar fruity floral was developed by perfumer Nicole Mancini. Additional notes include prickly pear, osmanthus, vetiver, amber and musk.

Oscar de la Renta Bella Soleil is available now at Macy's, in 100 ml Eau de Parfum. (The fragrance also comes in 30 ml.)

Showing my age (again!) but I bought a bottle of his very first fragrance, Oscar, when it was launched in 1977 – I’m sure I’ve mentioned this here before but I was sharing a flat with two friends at the time, one of whom wore Madame Rochas & the other Rive Gauche. All this at a time when Aberdeen (Scotland) had a handful of department stores which stocked all kinds of gorgeous perfume options, unlike today when we have no department stores in the city – I don’t consider Marks & Spencer to be one, regardless of what other people may think.
