Oscar de la Renta New York Rendezvous ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 22 August 2026 2 Comments

Oscar de la Renta has launched New York Rendezvous, a new fragrance for women. New York Rendezvous is a flanker to last year's Oscar de la Renta New York.

Introducing the second chapter of the Oscar de la Renta New York fragrance story – New York Rendezvous. Inspired by the city at sunset, New York Rendezvous captures the moment when the beauty of day meets the allure of night.

This Floral Amber Gourmand fragrance opens with notes of chantilly cream and a subtle citrus lift. The heart reveals white jasmine, hedione, and almond flower, bringing clarity and softness. In the dry down, vanilla bean, caramelized woods, and amber create a warm, lingering finish that is seductively intimate.

Additional notes ambroxan.

Oscar de la Renta New York Rendezvous is available now at Belk, in 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

My own personal opinion of course, but I don’t think anything from this label has been or will be as fabulous as the original Oscar de la Renta perfume in the bottle with the glass flower stopper & raindrop. Back in those days I could afford the EdP or EdT but the perfume was just too expensive for me. When I met my now husband of 37 years in 1986, he realised very early on in our relationship that I was a fragrance fiend & he bought me a bottle of exactly what I have mentioned above. Thought he might be a keeper at that point! He told me a little later that when he’d bought it (wearing subsea company coveralls & motorcycle gear) the lady at the shop counter had asked him if he was sure he wanted the perfume, as opposed to the EdP or EdP, as it was ‘very expensive’ – he refrained from saying something in response to her tone, & said he had to bite his tongue when she pronounced the word ‘toilette’ as ‘toilet’!
