Happy Almost-Friday, and happy World Teachers' Day! We're expecting the Harvest Moon tonight. What fragrance are you wearing?
I'm in big lily with Lush Death & Decay.
Reminder: on 10/6, wear a fragrance with lily, if you have one.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2017, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

The new puppy has me out in the backyard all hours of the night. The moon was gorgeous already. I was thinking it must be full moon to be that bright but thanks to you, I know it will be tonight!
Making applesauce with my class today so I wore my gourmand fragrance, Hedonist. Honey goes well with apples right?
Honey and apples is a good combo. Enjoy the perfume and the sauce!
Hedonist is lovely! And that bottle..?! GORG!
Hedonist is so lush
Second day in Stash SJP. I figure ginger lily is close enough, eh? Yea for successful blind buys! Enjoy this beautiful day everyone!
Stash has been a blind buy for many of us and it has been a success. You smell great!
Stash is probably the only celebrity perfume that I own and wear. You smell good!
you smell divine!
Another Stash lover here, you smell awesome!
Lanvin Arpege and drinking a cup of Twinings Lemon & Ginger Tea.
I also noticed the beautiful moon last night, and looking forward to seeing it tonight.
The moon- You and I both
You smell wonderful. Arpege was my first perfume when I was little.
I just bought another partial bottle of vintage extrait on ebay and it arrived today. It had leaked a little in the package, and my daughter wrinkled her nose at it. This bottle is a bit, um, riper than my other one. I didn’t remember civet in it, but this one smells civetty.
That is a beautiful picture! The moon last night was gorgeous. I will pay closer attention to it tonight.
I am in O de Lancome. I had 7 sprays. I just needed something citrusy, bright and strong to make me cope with another busy day. Having my second cup of pumpkin coffee and looking forward already for the long holiday weekend.
Hello! I got your swap package yesterday. Sorry I have not had time to write…
Love your SOTD, it’s a beaut!
Wearing Cio Cio San from MDCI. Such a lovely perfume.
Between this and Delina, I am realizing I like lychee as a note
I haven’t tried any of these two but since I like the fruit (as in “eat”), I should probably seek them out.
Going light today in Marc Jacobs Splash Fig because tonight I’m hosting “An evening of perfume with Bob” for a few of my work colleagues in the swanky new building we moved into earlier on in the year. Nervous and excited all at once to be doing this again!
What a great thing to do for your colleagues – I applaud you.
How exciting! Don’t be nervous, you will do great!
I want to work with people like you!
Fun! Sounds like it’ll be great.
So nice! Have a wonderful time!
Ooh, sounds fun! Have a great time.
I wish I had your co-workers!
Have a blast with your event!
Please, tell us how it goes! Sometimes I do that for my house guests. But I’m usually drunk by that time – so are they – and they don’t appreciate :))))
Oh how fun! Enjoy and I look forward to hearing how it goes!
I want to be your co worker! What a fab idea.
I feel confident they will have a great time and you’ll do perfect! People just want someone else to plan and lead so they don’t have to- and you get to have all that great-smelling fun! Kudos to you Bob.
Sounds like fun!
Oh, how cool! I’m sure that it will be a lot of fun for all involved.
Sounds like a lot of fun!
Happy Harvest Moon! It was gorgeous last night, and I’m looking forward to the Full Monty tonight. SOTD is vintage Le Dix EDT.
Before I posted my comment I should have read everyone else’s re: the moon! Hah. Similar thoughts.
We got nothing — totally clouded over tonight.
I planned to wear SL Un Lys today, but ended up choosing Cartier Baiser Vole (EDP). Un Lys may be more beautiful, but Baiser Vole is easier to wear. It’s a fresh lily and is very pretty.
I may be in BV tomorrow because I cannot find my Un Lys at all!
Good morning all!
Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia today. The cooler temps definitely have me pulling out scents that I haven’t worn in a few months! It’s fun to get reacquainted with my favorites…..
You smell lovely! And grinch-safe methinks.
Lovely perfume! (Trying to listen to myself: do I want to wear it today?)
Today’s Atelier is Santal Carmin. I skipped Rose Anonyme, because I wear it regularly. I thought that the vanilla in this one would give me a problem, but it is well balanced by the sandalwood, so it isn’t bothering me. I love sandalwood.
I love Santal Carmin, I wish it came in a smaller, or less expensive bottle. You smell great!
I wish everything came in a smaller, and less expensive bottle.
Lillyjo, you can buy a lone 30 ml petit flacon of Santal Carmin. Other thing is that it doesn’t come cheap (95 euro)
Oh thanks! I’ve only seen the 100 ml bottle around. I’ve been meaning to ask you, if you have tried Mimosa Indigo? It looks interesting.
I did! And I loved it. Pretty unusual but a little bit ‘not enough mimosa’
“There’s a perfume we created called Santal Carmin and I had one person in mind when making it and it was Steve Jobs. It’s a very bold, unexpected scent with lots of character and a soft side that you don’t really see,” she dishes. “To create it, we used sandal which is a very warm, sweet scent and mixed it with saffron which is very spicy. Putting the two ingredients together gives something that doesn’t exist and Steve Jobs was the person I pictured. We always write stories and this story is somehow this perfume is an homage to him” she reveals.
Wow. This story must sell.
At our English class we were deciding which book to read next. I wanted for us to read Great Gatsby and so I said hat it’s a favourite of Bill Gates.
Every boy in class supported my choice, although no one of them knew who the heck Fitzgerald was :)))))
It’s extremely sad. But at least now they’ll know.
Well, in my country we have Mark Twain and O’Henry included in school international literature program.
But other American writers are …to discover yourself.
I don’t think it’s really that sad.
Russian literature is hardcore enoughth
Indeed, and schools here include woefully little Russian literature.
I wasn’t referring to the fact that authors weren’t included into the curriculum. I realize that there are many more writers and books, great and famous, than any one person can read or than can be included into any literature course. But the fact that the name of one of the American greatest writers itself is not recognized -this is what I consider to be a sad state of modern culture/education. But I’m just being grumpy. You contributed your part to their education
I can’t wait to tell my husband about this! Santal Carmin has become a bit of his signature scent, he’ll like it even more now with that story!
I love the creaminess and smoothiness of Santal Carmin as well!
Harvest Moon. Great earworm to start the day and thought I’d pass it along ????
I just don’t know how to dress these days. Supposed to be 83 today! Went with Arquiste Ella which works nicely when it’s warm, but still has some heft which I’ve been craving since the season changed.
You smell great. Have you done a side by side of this and FM superstitious? There are noticeable similarities.
Thanks! I actually thought that when I smelled Superstitious but I don’t have any to do a side-by-side. I didn’t love the FM and I love Ella. I think Ella is softer and less aggressive and the sweaty note is more a suggestion in Ella where it was too prominent for me in Superstitious.
thanks for the earworm!
I love that song so much! Thanks.
Love that song too
Love this song! I’m not, like, the world’s biggest Neil Young fan, but this is one of my favorites from him. And you smell great, too! I’m dying for colder weather so I can give my sample of Ella a proper road test myself.
Wearing Kenzo Flower Oriental today. Just starting to go through my winter perfume wardrobe. Also going through my regular winter wardrobe to see whether everything still fits…
One of my favorite Kenzos. You smell great!
Jour d’Hermes, from my recently acquired tester. This stuff is luscious (and tenacious!). Surely there is a lily in there somewhere.
The parfum version is quite nice of this one as well. It also has monumental lasting power.
Actually this the parfum! I found a tester for ~$40! I’m considering a back up because that parfum is pricy on retail.
There must be.
The moon last night was gorgeous. We’re supposed to get clouds and rain tonight. I’m failing the community project so far this week. Sotd is Alien Essence absolute. I’m really enjoying this powdery version today, but its coziness is not helping my motivation to accomplish anything today.
We can be be failures together. I have not a single lily, and the one I had (DK Gold) I swapped or gave away. ????????
It’s nice to know I’m in good company:)
I looked at the fragrantica list and saw I also do not have a lily…but, no 19 edp has lily of the valley (I know, not the same !!) so I may just go with that one tomorrow.
Oh I forgot about Gold. The one lily I own and like!
Sporting a black cherry fitted shirt, black slacks, black undergarments and Black Perfecto. On my hands to moisturize is Solstice Scents PSL Bath & Body Oil….I am matching the sweetness of my gravatar name today.
How is everyone getting their hands on Black Perfecto?! I’m sure you’re looking and smelling fabulous!
A kind and generous friend sent me some
Black Cherry anything is the best!
Fendi Theorema from a decant. Love it. I’m guessing no bottles to be found. I ordered a decant of Armani Prive Ambre Soie – by the same perfumer as Theorema and it is a “smells like” on Fragrantica. Any opinions? I’d rather have theorema but if AS is a close match that will be nice. Have a great day!
I think you can still find Theorema. You may have to order from a European website, but it seems this one would be worth it.
Have you checked Notino? I think they had it a few months ago
Thank you! I checked Notino and they must’ve sold out. Beauty Encounter has some it looks like.
flopper, I’ve found Serge Lutens Douce Amere to be remarkably like Theorema.
Wow great thank you! Going to do a search!
Send me an email – lisadarty in the land of the hawt mail – and I’ll send you a sample, so you can compare.
How interesting! Wonder if anyone else finds them similar.
It’s probably just my wonky nose. The listed notes don’t align very well, but it’s the overall vibe of one that reminds me very strongly of the other. Soft mix of floral and spice, with something like licorice or anise, and some creamsicle.
Oh no, I was not doubting you! I just never would have thought of the 2 of them together, so was wondering if it was something everyone but me had figured out
Oooh, good to know.
Wearing Naomi Goodsir Cuir Velours. I love fall. The moon last night was stunning, so I’m looking even more forward to tonight’s harvest moon. Happy Thursday!
Cuir Velours is great in fall and winter. You smell lovely!
Yes it is such an amazing fragrance. I am on the last drops of the decant, and a FB is in my future
You smell great!
SOTD Never Never Land by Smell Bent. I quite like it. Although the SB website states:
“fun facts: australians call the vast expanse of the outback the “never never”
Since I’m a USAer, I always think of Michael Jackson when I hear the title. I need to broaden my horizons????
Lol. Really?? We call it the outback. Never never is a very old-fashioned term, probably not so much in use now as the days of technology shrink the world we live in. Maybe it’s used to refer to certain geographic places, but none here in WA, and we are a pretty vast area of nothing! Maybe the folks at SB think we have kangaroos jumping down the street too…
You mean kangaroos DON’T jump down the streets of Australia?!????
totally off topic but I have to tell you that I enjoyed Corisca F immensely …so much so that I looked up the notes…and then went off on a tangent looking up mastic e.o. as that appears to be the star ingredient….I would like to sample some mastic and see if I can make my own e.o. blend….I don’t think I would have tried CF had it not been for you
Hey, glad you liked it and good luck concocting something great with the mastic EO!
Let me know how that works out, I’m interested in mastic too.
will do! right now I am trying to hold off on buying any more e.os. but when I do and start blending if I make anything good with mastic I will share the recipe
Never Never Land is one of my favorites from SB. You smell great!
It IS good! When I looked at the “note list,” I saw Vetiver. That explained my infatuation????
I hear the phrase “Never Never Land” and think of “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. But I know I’m a little odd like that.
More cool than odd, Rock on Jalapeno!
Wow! What a mighty moon!
I am in Carner Barcelona Sweet William today.
I found lily perfume to wear tomorrow.
Tell me more about Sweet William? I have not had a chance to try the 3 new releases yet
If you pop over to my blog there’s a review somewhere in the archive, written few months ago.
I’ll look for the moon tonight! Wearing En Voyage Zelda today, someone wore it as their sotd Tuesday, I think, and it put me in the mood for it. I haven’t reapplied since I wore it to bed last night, the lasting power is phenomenal.
Gosh, I love Zelda but rarely wear it. Must remedy that.
I was planning to wear Zoologist Panda today since it has a lily note, but I couldn’t find my sample. Instead I’m wearing Cartier L’Envol again, at least partially because I knocked the bottle off my dresser this morning. It was in the box but the top was open. I was checking it because I was afraid the sprayer was broken, and I ended up spritzing myself in the face.
Have I ever mentioned the Conspiracy of the Inanimate World? It was, obviously, the fault of the bottle…
LOL it was the bottle’s fault.
Wearing AC Camelia Intrepide from a sample vial. Floral powdery leather. It may be my favorite Atelier Cologne.
Drinking half-n-half laced dark coffee.
Love this one too! It’s very different from I have smelled.
That’s the one that didn’t work on my skin. Too much crunchy green violet leaf for me.
Come to think of it, I should put it up on my ‘to swap’ list.
Eventful 24 hours so far, chubby Buddha injured himself, I think he will loose 2 finger nails since there is blood underneath the nail. He climbs and then he falls..repeat…life of a toddler. After this fall, he screamed at an octave so loud I think only dogs could hear…
Then we had a guest for breakfast and I managed to wake up and make scones, and served them with clotted cream and strawberry preserves after a sleepless night of odd dreams..
This morning I went with Songes and served this scones with Thé des Lumières from MF.
Robin we have a nice view of the moon at night so I will check out the harvest moon if I am not passed out by 7pm!
Oh no! I hope chubby Buddha feel better soon and you can have some rest. You smell great in Songes as usual.
I hope the damage isn’t too bad, and that chubby Buddha outgrows his clumsy phase soon. I wish that the rest of your day will be supremely peaceful.
Chubby Buddha! Oh no! And mein Gott! After all that, you were able to rise and shine?! Amazing woman????
My god is right! ltsg is wonder woman
Everyone is napping and I am sipping some Inka and reading the paper..
hang in there, ltsg! And please allow yourself to pass out at 7pm if you need to….sending some unsolicited motherly advice …Mr. CM8 and I raised three all two and less than two years apart with zero help from family so we know how tough it is…but if I had to do it all over I would NOT have sweat the small stuff and RELISHED my time with them when I was the center of their universe because that all changes when they hit puberty!
Thank you! <3
I appreciate these words of wisdom
Oh no! I hope Chubby Buddah heals better than expected! Hang in there!
At this point, the sleep is more important!
Hope you get a break soon! That does sound like 24 hours of crazy.
Hope lil Buddha heals quickly!
SOTD is Femininite du Bois.
My SOTD is Eau des Merveilles. I’ve just been craving it lately. So lovely.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
When they released Eau des Merveilles I think that 24 Fuabourgh stopped being the last great classic anymore
Today I’m wearing Stella because someone mentioned it the other day and I’d forgotten that I have it. It’s a rather voluptuous rose. I like it but don’t think it’s “me.” Tomorrow I’ll have to sort through my perfume cabinet again to find something with lily. Some cleaning-out is in order at some point… after the kitchen, the garage, the study…
Ha, my list is about the same or worse.
You smell great! I actually found Stella to be way too sweet on me after an hour or so, but man is that bottle gorgeous. I compromised by buying a rollerball (which comes in the same beautiful ombre amethyst as the full size) and putting it on after showering/before bed at night, that way I can still enjoy it, but don’t have to bear the drydown on myself!
I got 2 compliments yesterday for my Stash and have already received 2 for Moresque Fiore di Portofino. Maybe I’m overspraying?
No, you just have exquisite taste.
No. They are both great perfumes!
Sounds like you have sprayed the perfect amount! What a pretty bottle.
there is no such thing as over spraying in my book
I love you guys!
SotM = Lys 41
Mostly tuberose and lily, so far I like it. Lately I crave tuberose in perfume. It feels comforting.
Yesterday was free admission day for seniors at our local public aquarium. My mom wanted to go and asked me to drive. We had a nice outing together. It was life affirming to see people out and about, enjoying the beautiful ocean life.
Wishing all the educators a good day. Every day is Teacher Day in my book. I’m off to my daughter’s IEP meeting this morning, feeling grateful for the many hands, hearts, and minds that have engaged her and helped her grow.
good luck at the IEP meeting!
thanks! it went well.
very well said!
Today I’m in Chanel Cuir de Russie (EdT)
why don’t I wear it more often?
it’s such a gorgeous leather & powdery iris scent.
And it’s Mick Jagger’s signature scent according to some celebrity favorite fragrances list.
I think it’s so cool if it’s true
Should I look for perfume concentration? =)
I haven’t tried that one..is it worth seeking and smelling that one?
It is really worthy!
It’s my favourite Chanel and it’s not a pretty scent – it’s an elegant scent.
You should try it – but give it at least a couple of hours, because it develops on your skin quite considerably.
Perfume concentration is very impressive. I tried it a year ago, and it is on my list.
Thank you! Now I know I should!
Every time I wear CdR, I ask myself the same question I planned to wear another perfume today, but probably it’s a sign! Thank you
I haven’t tried CdR extrait on skin but on the test ceramic rod in boutique it smelled very appealing. As most parfums, more quiet and rounded than the EdP.
I remember the first time I tried it I thought that it was awful! Leather store! Shoe cream! Grandpa’s boots! Ughhh!
But after only half an hour I realized that it was one of the most wonderful scents I ever tried and I learned to appreciate it more with each additional wear.
I am wearing it now and loving every minute of it. Thank you again for the nudge!
If it isn’t true, he should just switch to CdR because it’s a great fit.
You smell amazing! I have samples of the EdP but I’m saving up for the parfum which is beyond gorgeous *sighs happily*
One of the benefits of getting out of work at 8pm is that I get to gaze at the moon every night during my walk home.
I don’t think I have any lily scents in my collection. Instead, I’m testing Alyssa Ashley Musk – a sample that I added onto my latest fragrancenet order. I’ve been on a major musk kick lately, and this is a nice one. It’s quiet and has just a bit of sweetness and floralcy to it. Perfect for work.
AA Musk takes me back to my youth…amazing that something so inexpensive but wonderful is still around…hope you are enjoying it!
I’m wearing Safari for the first time this year, it’s a perfect autumn scent, and I’ve enjoyed catching little whiffs of it since this morning, it has comforted me through a difficult day.. My boss has said my position at work isn’t financially viable, and they might be cutting my hours, or letting me go, she is not a good communicator, and so I don’t know. Anyway perfume is a great comfort!
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that, I’d be worried too. It sounds like your boss didn’t handle this with much sensitivity. Glad to hear you’re using perfume as a kind of mood booster, and it’s helping.
I’m sorry you’ve been put in limbo like that. I hooe you get some certainty soon. Ugh.
Thank u kanaka, I hope so too.
Arg. Sorry to hear that!
Safari is wonderfully comforting and fall appropriate. Hope it gives some joy today.
Yes it is, I’ve found it wonderfully comforting.
Sorry about work.
But you have Safari to cheer you up! That’s such gorgeous stuff.
Yes! i always think of u when I wear it, asI know u love it too!
Tough news, sending you fragrant hugs!
I am sorry to hear about your job situation. Hopefully you will not get drastic news at the end. Sending positive vibes.
Oh dear, I’m so sorry.
So sorry. What crummy news to get. I hope it all works out for the best.
Oh how frustrating! *hugs*
Yuk, what a terrible situation to be in, work wise. Not knowing is worse than being fired in my book.
So sorry to hear this.
Sitting this one out – I do not have any lilies in my wardrobe. SOTD – Yeti attar by Rising Phoenix. Sandalwood and ambergris – I only wish it had more projection.
And you win the prize for best name of the day.
SOTD Tom Ford’s Café Rose. Tomorrow I will wear his Shanghai Lily.
Hello, all. So, Friday. I should be wearing a lily. I have Baiser Vole in the extract and the EDT, and both are pretty, but I’m not in the mood for them. Also, I’m having lunch in a garden cafe, and real flowers will be enough delight. I’m wearing Santal Massoia, and its abstract sharpness is perfect. Later on, if it follows its usual patter, it will throw quite masculine on me, and I like that ambiguity too.
I also smell sardines, and I’m hoping I don’t smell OF sardines. It turns out that Eric has giardia, and we’re giving him 1.3mls of a standard cattle drench every day. Apparently it tastes rather icky (how do people find these things out?) and I’m mixing it with sardines to disguise the taste. He turns out to love sardines with the fiery passion of ten supernovas, so it’s no trouble to get him to take his meds. And no, I hasten to add that neither the dear man nor I have giardia symptoms. Apparently cat giardia is for cats and human giardia is for humans. We hope that when we beat the problem of the dicky tummy, he will grow faster. The Brown Bros are way ahead of him now (about 600grams heavier). He is fierce (and sweet), but small.
Be well, all. I love your perfume choices.
Poor Eric but also lucky Eric to have such loving and attentive staff
Cat giardia sounds really horrible and gross. Poor little Eric kitten.
I’ve been really enjoying V&A Orchidee Vanille recently . It seems far more edible, like hard toffee-sugar ( bit like Prada Candy ) now than when I first tried it. It’s quite light though and the orchid only smiles weakly. I’ve been thinking more and more about plants and at what point ( if there is a margin) they slip from the purely botanical ( growing in the wild) to the cultural ( invested with ritual/ cultural significance )…and can people ‘claim’ cultural/ traditional ownership and at what point is cultural appropriation a possibility. Something like Sweetgrass/Buffalo grass would be an example
I mean when companies use plant materials that have cultural significance to an indigenous population
Have you heard of a field of study called ethnobotany? It’s like the lovechild of anthropology and botany and I’m no expert, but it seems to be out to answer exactly the kind of question that you just asked – at what point does a plant gain cultural significance? My secret dream career – if it didn’t involve at least one more advanced degree – is to be an ethnobotanist.
Happy Indian Summer to you all from our odd 79 degree , but lovely fall here! No lillies so Carnal Flower today, from a very generous NST perfumista’s sample. (Thank yous!)
Oh what a beauty!
I think 3 sprays- …one on wrists, one on bottom of pony-tail, and one on fabric of shirt ( so I could see how it develops on each surface ,of course ;)) ..might have been a bit much at once. But I am getting the whole experience. Good thing I’m home today! Literally wafting clouds of tropical gorgeousness here.
I’ll have to report back as it develops.
U smell amazing! One of my favourites, but I think the name is silly!
You smell gorgeous
Dentist visit #2 today. Temporary crown in place. Got a compliment of the “you smell nice,” variety on my Mariella Burani from the dentist! Taz’s 17th birthday today; Gaze will turn 19 next week.
Happy Birthday to your son!
Happy birthday to you’re children! Two of mine had birthdays on the 17th and 18th September, there is a 12 year age gap between them. Perfume compliments are always such a mood booster!
For a sec I thought you got a compliment on your new crown ???? Happy birthday to the boys!
Happy Birthday to Taz!
It is my oldest daughter’s 39th birthday. Those years go by SO FAST! Happy birthday to both your sons.
I couldn’t fall asleep last night until 2, so I’m feeling rather woozy this morning and lilies were the last thing on my mind. I went for Shalimar Mexique and it is turning out to be a splendid choice.
The vanille flankers are so lovely!
I couldn’t sleep last night as well (grrr!) so now I’m just trying to concentrate and swim through a very busy day. Let’s see how it goes tonight with a full moon…
Wearing Coven and smelling great. It feels like it should be Friday but it’s only Thursday…
You smell great! I got Coven overload from making a couple of decants, got it all over my hand, then opened the back door, getting it on the door knob. Took me a while to figure out why I could still smell it days later. There are worse things to smell like..
At a physio appointment, so in a light spray of Jour d’Hermès Absolu, which shouldn’t be too overwhelming.
Like foxbins, I was awake until the wee hours of the morning. Feeling overtired and wound up. I started with a spritz of Tuscan Leather but I think I’ll have a wash and switch to Mon Precieux Nectar for the evening.
MPN is very beautiful!
Looking forward to catching a glimpse of the Harvest Moon tonight, weather permitting. Darn clouds…:<
Commando again today. I'm not quite ready for perfume just yet. Maybe over the weekend?
Pixel kitty escaped from the cone of shame again early this morning. She has to wear that thing until her stitches come out Monday afternoon. The other two cats are absolutely terrified of her while she is in said get-up. One ran away and has been avoiding her like the proverbial plague, while the other one stares warily and hisses a lot. C'mon, kitties, hang in there!
Aww. Poor kitty. Cats ate nit cooperative patients. My cats avoid or hiss at each other if one has been to the vet. I think it’s the smell.
I can’t even imagine having a cone of shame on a cat. Your whole family will have PTSD! There must be some other way…
Would be nice if there was another way, but I really don’t want her messing with and/or licking her sutures. This is one of the cloth ones, not the clear plastic. Not sure which would be less of a hassle.
Aww, poor kitty! Where is the incision? Is it somewhere where you could potentially put a t-shirt (don’t laugh, it’s a thing!) on and she wouldn’t be able to get to it? Is it a soft e-collar (one that’s not made of hard plastic)? If not, could you get one? As a former veterinary surgical assistant and owner of a cat who had to have critical surgery himself, I feel your pain! You’re in the home stretch though at least!
No incision, but there are sutures in the cat’s… ummm… rear end. She is wearing a soft e-collar, but it might be too big for her, which may explain the two successful escapes out of it so far. She ends up having a gait that looks like something out of Monty Python’s “Ministry of Silly Walks” skit.
Not sure if this is a viable option but we put our cat in a baby sleeper after surgery so he wasn’t able to lick the sutures; plus it was kind of adorable. The cone thing wasn’t working for us either.
It was pretty easy to put on and the snaps were easy to get him in and out.
Your poor baby! Sending healing thoughts; hope she’s feeling better soon!
A crisp cool spring Friday morning inspired me to wear a couple of ravishing sprays of the gorgeous Hermes Galop. Hope everyone has had a good day.
Wearing PHLUR Olmsted and Vaux today because I am wearing blue, and when I wear blue (approximately 50% of my waking life, admittedly), I feel like I should wear fresh scents to coordinate, and this fits the bill nicely.
I also spent a surprisingly-painless 30 minutes titling and registering my new motorcycle (coincidentally also blue) at the DMV today. This is relevant because despite the fact that O&V is my favorite of my PHLUR samples, my new bike is eating all of my spare cash right now, which means I won’t be buying full bottles of anything for a while. :/
Hooray and respect for teachers across the globe! My mom taught physics and chemistry for a year before she had my older sister.
SOTD = Guerlain Angelique Noir
Spicy woody nutty vanilla. Love!
So, I am debating about what to wear tomorrow. It has lily (!) but it is not a Guerlain but could pass for one. Care to guess? Both the brand and perfume name have a D in it
Hmmm maybe Dune by Dior or Donna Karen Gold Donna Karen????. Hajuusri thank you again for your awesomeness!!!????
You might be right
Something urged “Amouage Gold Man” on me this morning, so I went with it. Lady friend at work sniffed my wrist and said, “Ooh, that’s so soft!” I cannot interpret some perfume language…it’s so frustrating when someone describes what you’re wearing in inexplicable terms:
“It’s a mild smell…” What does that mean?
Settled down after exercise and shower tonight with Aoud Lime. Really fragrant day!
