Happy Gucci or Givenchy Friday! Our community project for today: pick one and make your case, or wear one of each.
What brand and fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if youโre not participating in the community project.
I do not have any big opinion on Gucci vs Givenchy โ neither one is a favorite fragrance brand. My plan for today was to wear Givenchy Organza Indecence on one arm and original Gucci Homme on the other. But I am not feeling at all well (I started treatment for Lyme disease yesterday) and the very idea makes me feel a little queasy. I am commando but looking forward to seeing what everyone else picked.
Reminder: on 5/5 we're doing May-bee Baby Friday... wear a honey fragrance or one that contains a honey note. Suggested by happy888cat.
And for those of you who like to plan ahead, see Scent of the day ~ Friday community projects 2017, where I'll try to always have the next five or six weeks mapped out in advance.

Oh dear…I hope you feel better soon, Robin ๐
I came home yesterday from work to be greeted by a huge birthday package from my dearest friend. Inside were at least 300 samples, decants and minis …I was stunned to say the least and boy did that make my day!
So today I am wearing one of the minis that happens to be one of her favorites, Silences….gorgeous!
I may not be participating in too many of the community projects as I am eager to try out all of my new samples!
The extraordinary kindness and generosity of human beings never ceases to amaze me.
peace love light

So late today. Wishing you the happiest of birthdays. Have fun with those samples. What an amazing and generous friend.
Very best wishes, Robin!
The only Gucci or Givenchy I own is Givenchy Organza Indecence, so that would be my vote… but as I am looking at a high of 88 with 97% humidity today (!!), I am not wearing it, but rather Huitieme Poudre de Riz.
That’s a good one. You smell great!
I hope hat treatment will help you soon, Robin. Good to see that you are at least well enough to post.
I do not have a definite opinion on Givenchy and Gucci either. I used to have a set of Givenchy minis, and that’s how I discovered some of their scents (including Organza and Amarige Mariage I still like and use). But then I discovered more and more perfume houses…
As for Gucci, somehow I do not know this house that well (although I tried several of its scents with mixed results).
So today I am sampling the only Gucci I currently have – L’Arte di Gucci EDT. I first heard about this scent here, in the comments. Unfortunately I do not remember that person’s name, but whoever you are, thank you for drawing my attention to this perfume!
This is a gorgeous and sophisticated fragrance. Definitely old school and definitely dominated by rose. Not a fresh rose from the garden, but a rose scent of lipstick, powder etc. And it’s lovely. I only have a small sample of EDT, but I have already ordered a mini EDP.
Yay for L’Arte!
Yay for L’Arte… and you’ve reminded me that I forgot this is the ONLY Gucci fragrance I have! I only wear it in the fall and winter, so it just fell off my radar. It is a real beauty for sure!
Nothing yet, but I’m always game for Gucci Rush. Thanks for the excuse to wear it! (Not that I needed one.)
Lyme disease?!?! I’m so sorry, Robin. I grew up in northern Michigan where I saw many vacationers, hunters, etc. get bitten by ticks and end up at the hospital. Not only did it look unfun, the treatment can wipe you out as much as the disease. I hope you get some rest.
I forgot to add: I think Givenchy has a steadier line of nice fragrances, where Gucci is subpar with a rockstar or two in its collection. Regardless, I don’t have strong feelings for either house. I only own Rush from Gucci and the one Givenchy I have is a mini that came with a Sephora set. I don’t even know the name off the top of my head.
Manifesto? I think Sephora carried it for a while.
I think that one is YSL.
Yup, you’re right. So forgettable I can’t even keep the house straight.
Ha!
Robin, I hope you feel better very soon!
I would like to thanks each one of you, for your beautiful and supporting messages on my fatherโs passing. They were all very comforting and have lifted my spirits greatly. Elisa P. lots of hugs and love. Rappleyea and CM8, every time I read the quote by Rossiter Worthington Raymond and listen to the song Give Me Love by George Harrison, I find great peace in my heart and soul. Adanst and Meredifay you were such wonderful perfume fairies and really touched my heart very deeply. You are a great family and I feel very honored to be part of this caring and wonderful community. Thank you!
SOTD Gucci Envy. Spring in a bottle and one of my favorites green florals.
I’m happy to see you back here and wishing you much continued healing.
Hugs to you!
And I also want to say that you have a beautiful, generous spirit as well, and though we’ve actually never met in person (this needs to be remedied someday!)I feel like I’ve gotten to know you here.
Thank you Elisa, and we definitely need to remedy that, hopefully sooner than later ๐
I’ve been absent here for a while, but I’m so sorry for your loss. I’m glad you’ve been comforted by the warm and loving community here.
Thank you Jirish.
So happy to hear that the healing process is occurring for you. I hope that the peaceful feelings will grow stronger.
and you smell fabulous today…Gucci Envy is fantastic!!!
Thank you. It will take time, but being back now to my regular routine will also help me in the process. Envy is really nice. My other option was Givenchy Amarige, but that one is not so office friendly….
Oh no, I missed this ๐ my condolences. I’m so glad the NST community helped you feel better.
Thank you dear.
Glad to see you posting, perfumelover67. I thought about you last night and hoped that you were doing all right.
Thank you Jalapeno. Hugs.
I don’t think I own a perfume from either house so cannot comment on that topic but wanted to wish you all the best, Robin, for the treatment you are undergoing.
Thank you Donanicola!
Really hope you start feeling better soon, Robin!
Not having any Gucci or Givenchy handy and not wanting something complicated today, I’m sampling Jo Malone Basil & Neroli and actually really enjoying it. It has that nice sweet/savory element that I like in Blackberry & Bay, too. I can see this being a summer no-brainer!
When I tried B&N at Nordstrom, I told the SA I wanted to walk around with it and see how it dried down. I made it about 30 steps away before I turned around and bought a bottle. I have a little anger/confusion thing going on with JM releasing their most summery scents in September, but I am excited to wear it this summer too. It’s easy but interesting.
If I drain my 2mls quickly, a bottle might be in my future! Of course I’ve said that about Blackberry & Bay and Wood Sage & Sea Salt, too..
HA! You sure did walk around with it! ๐
That one’s nice and if I were to own any JMs, that would be at the top of the list.
I bet it’s a really nice candle, too!
TGIF!
SOTD: Gucci Museo, aka Forever Now.
One of the more complex / interesting creations from Gucci I think. Was planning to wear Guilty Black but decided to go with the more “special” one.
I hope you feel better in no time Robin! Take care ๐
Never got to try that one, glad to hear it is decent — and thank you!
Robin I hope you feel better soon :O
I planned to wear Gucci Envy today but absentmindedly reached for NVC Rahele today.
Thank you!
I am glad that your treatment is underway Robin – with Lyme, the sooner the better. Hopefully, you can rest this weekend and start to feel better.
I have failed utterly at this week’s project as I am in No. 5 L’Eau on this first day when I can believe that spring may actually be en route. I heard peepers last night.:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBUXYrUA2pw
I failed too-lol. You smell great!
Me three!!! Not one day of Gucci or Givenchy!
You smell lovely! I wore No 5 Eau Premiere yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Spring peepers are the best- but at night they can get ridiculous and keep you up!
You smell absolutely lovely.
My Galgo pup had a 3 AM potty trip, and the fool started singing along with the peepers. Needless to say, I hustled him indoors so the neighbours didn’t lynch the cute little Goober.
This made me laugh out loud ๐
Ha! Silly pup!
You smell great!
You smell great.
Hannahmom, thanks for posting the link to those spring peepers. That gave me an ear-to-ear grin watching it this afternoon.
In NE Canada, they are the 1st real sign of spring. I don’t take my studded tires off until I hear them
Robin, I’m awfully sorry to know that you’re dealing with Lyme Disease! Hope you recover quickly!!! Sending you lots of virtual tea and sympathy…
I’m not participating in the project this week, as I’m on my own quest to use up perfume samples. I bought teensy samples of Caron pure perfumes years ago; they’ve evaporated a good bit, sadly, so really need to go. This week I’ve finished off Alpona, Or et Noir, and Pois de Senteur. I remember really liking Or, but I think the sample had gone off; Alpona was still lovely; and Pois — well, maybe I’m not a huge fan of sweet pea perfumes in general.
Oh, LOVE Alpona, that is one of my regrets — really should have bought it when I could.
I have only two Givenchys and zero Guccis, so we know who wins. I’m wearing Very Irresistible for Men, which is extraordinarily good, so presumably that’s why they discontinued it. (You can still buy a bottle for a couple hundred dollars, I see.) It’s the most unusual gourmand โ hazelnut coffee and cedar: I have a mini which is almost empty and I’ll be sorry to see it gone.
I realized that I don’t own any Guccis or Givenchys. I used to love Gucci Envy (discontinuing it was perfume blasphemy) but I finished my last bottle years ago. So, I’m in Angel today, smelling fab!
This weekend, its Valborg celebration (like Walpurgis) in Sweden, so happy Valborg to all of you.
Envy was a great fragrance, and probably the only Gucci that I every really wanted, but never purchases. It was the perfect modern green!
I didn’t see these comments– I just wrote a comment below asking about Envy!
Finally getting a chance to read everyone else’s posts– happy Valborg to you, too! We don’t generally celebrate it in the US, but I was born on Walpurgisnacht, so I kind of do.
So glad they started your treatment fast, Robin.
It will be too warm here for Organza Indecence, my only Givenchy. I’m in L’Arte di Gucci. In my head I’m swanning around like Joan Collins, ca. the Dynasty Years.
You smell fabulous darling! Is that what Joan would say?
Possibly so!
I am just dying to tell you that I now have samples of Chamade, Le Temps d’Un Fete and Plum…and will be trying them all for the first time in the near future….also, a sample of Safari which I have not smelled in ages.
Exciting!
Yum!- I really love all of those! (Oh I don’t know Plum tho, but love that note.)
If you like Plum – let me know as I have a FB that does NOT work for me at all. I would be pleased to find it a loving home.
Robin, so sorry you are not feeling well. Hopefully the treatment will kick in and have you feeling better soon. Rest, hydrate and rest!
I have neither Gucci or Givenchy on hand, so I fail this project???? Decided to fail in style though so I’m sampling No 19 for the first time today. Wow. Now I see what all the fuss is about. I have the EDT, and not sure if that is the “preferred” version…?
No. 19 is pretty awesome in whatever version.
If I had to rank the concentrations for my personal preference, it would go like this:
Vintage (before 2005, maybe?) EdT
EdP of any age
Current EdT
Parfum
But that’s personal preference. I like the tiny bit of leather in the old stuff, and I would also say that the galbanum is really beautiful in the older EdT. I think the current EdT is comparatively thin. The EdP is rosier and perhaps more conventionally pretty. The parfum I find very dry and irisy-vetivery, which is not my thing but a lot of perfumistas love it for that reason.
All this is to say that No. 19 is a force to be reckoned with, and I’m glad you’re reckoning. ๐
Ooh, thank you for the comparisons! (Taking notes). Isn’t it sad that most perfumes are better in the vintage form? I’m trying not to fall down the vintage rabbit hole for scents that are new to me though. It sounds like this current version may be just the right fit for me since I am a No 19 “newbie.”
Any version of No 19 is a good version!
I personally prefer the edp version but all three versions are great.
I have the perfume
How are liking it?
I also love the 19 poudre flanker. Sometimes I layer them. Dabbing 19 parfum on my neck and spraying 19 Poudre
The Poudree version is the only 19 I have – I love it.
It is stunning! It feels very sophisticated and I’m not sure if I can pull it off. I am a skinny jean and Birkenstock kind of girl and Luca Turin says this is for the boardroom woman in stilettos and a pencil skirt-lol. I’m gonna give it a shot though!
There’s something about wearing serious or glamorous perfumes with jeans or casual clothes that I find even more alluring. Kind of the “I woke up looking this glamorous” deal.
Yes, totally agree with that!
Oh Robin, get well soon!
I had lymes a couple of years ago, and it was bad. But after a few days on medication, I was bak to normal. Hang in there.
I had a long nap this afternoon (which was also just sort of fun, since I never nap) and feeling a whole lot better than I did this morning ๐
No Gucci today.
Wearing Jo Malone Rose Oud. Nice and easy.
Get well soon Robin!
Thank you!
I chose Gucci EDP – the brown juice in the clear glass bottle that someone recently mentioned might make a good bludgeoning tool. I have two FBs – one small 30ml bottle that I can actually lift and use, and a square, squat, extremely heavy and unlift-able one that has to be set on a sturdy shelf to be sprayed. Love it! Happy Friday, everyone!
That was me -LOL! You really could kill someone with that bottle! But the juice inside is amazing! I bought a full bottle when it first came out and I drained it within 6 months. You smell so good!!!
A lady I work with wears this Gucci, and it smells fantastic on her.
I don’t even have samples from those lines. Strange.
I’m wearing an all-time favorite, No 5 Eau Premiere.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, Robin!
You smell wonderful! Love No 5 EP!!!! It is so pretty in the spring.
So sorry to hear you’re unwell and hope you get well soon!
On this rainy day I’m wearing the only Givenchy I have: a vintage Givenchy III. I think it’s more suitable for rainy days than sunny ones!
Snap! Vintage Givenchy 111 is gorgeous, have u tried the current version, it has a very good review in the Guide, and if it’s good and the longevity is good I will get that when my small vintage bottle runs out.
I haven’t tried that. I have a 60ml vintage, which, given the amount of perfumes I have, will last me a lifetime!
Neither Gucci nor Givenchy for me. I’m in Rosam from Histoires de Parfums.
Rosam was one of the first perfumes I ever tried, at a local niche perfume shop (sadly now closed) where I went and basically told the lady at the counter “I think I’m really interested in fragrance… what now???” She gave me Rosam and CB I Hate Perfume Smoky Tobacco.
Did you like it back then?
I did! I used up my sample ages ago and never sprang for a whole bottle, but I did like it, and I’d love to revisit it again now that I have a wee bit more experience with fragrance. I hope you’re loving it today!
I’m about to set off for the gym, but when I get back I’ll be swanning around in L’Arte di Gucci, probably feeling a bit silly since the rest of the day I’ll be mucking around in the garden. It’s still mud season here.
Sending all good thoughts and wishes for your recovery from Lyme. I’ve had it twice. Although the treatment was pretty tiresome, it worked both times and I’ve had no continuing after effects. Hang in there!
I’m looking at your gravatar with excitement because I just planted passion flower seeds recently. What beautiful, complex-looking flowers!
Passiflora are so lovely in so many ways. I love the twining tendrils almost as much as the flowers and the fruits smell and taste wonderful. Where I live in the frozen north they have to be grown in pots to amount to much and they can get just enormous. The last one I grew threatened to take over the room it was in so I ended up giving it away to a friend who admired it. I think I will have to try another one soon, a red one this time I think.
I would follow you around the gym if I smelled L’Arte while I was working out. We just joined a gym the other day, and there are these “no fragrance” signs hanging around everywhere. Ha.
Boo.
(Though I admit I would be upset if somebody came in wearing, say, six spritzes of Angel and I couldn’t get away.)
Those signs are all over my gym, too, and fragrances would be so much nicer than some of the other smells that occasionally waft by.
Twice! So did my husband, I thought he must be particularly unlucky.
I attribute it to liking to hang out in the kinds of places frequented by deer. We’re surrounded by about 1000 acres of wooded conservation land filled with deer, foxes, porcupines, occasional bobcats and weasels, squirrels, all kinds of birds, frogs, you name it. Ticks just come with the territory.
Don’t have anything to participate today, so wearing Fleurs de Sel instead. Hoping you have a speedy recovery, Robin!
Fleurs de Sel is gorgeous!
You smell amazing.
Love fleurs de sel, La Pluie is gorgeous for summer time, have u tried that one?
Haven’t yet, but it’s on my never-ending list of things to sample!
Seconding La Pluie, although I think of it as more for spring.
A small spritz of Ysatis for me. Powerful stuff!
Hi Ysatis twin! I did just a dab today, and I’m waft, waft, wafting. ๐
Get well soon Robin. I’m wearing the one Gucci I own, Gucci Guilty.
Thank you!
I got bit by a tick last year, but saw it immediately and am OK. But I am so paranoid….I hope you get well and over it! It is a hard treatment.
I have no Gucci scents (but I do love Envy), and I have some Givenchy scents, but they are all heavier orientals – the Organza, Organza Indecence, Organza Jasmine Harvest 2007 (?), L’Interdit….I do have the Les Mythics GIII, but since I wore Visa the other day, I wasn’t in the mood for another green chypre. So….It is the first perfect spring day we’ve had and everything is blooming and beautiful, so I’m wearing one of my fav spring fragrances: the very long discontinued Trish McEvoy #8 Citrus Petals, which is one of the prettiest linden fragrances ever made.
Nice pick, I do love linden, and thank you! (And wish I’d seen the darned tick earlier than I did. Boy those deer ticks are TINY.)
Thank you for mentioning “long discontinued” up front, before I could get too excited. I am sure you smell absolutely divine!
Ooh, I forgot about this one today, and I can participate.
I sprayed ADP Colonia this morning, but when I get home from work and post shower, I shall be wearing Gucci Envy PH. I have a small mini of this that I got from eBay. Reminds me of care free times in the 90’s. Shame that they d/c this one. I wish that some houses would release some of their old scents as a limited edition, just for old times sake.
Second that wish!
Powering through the morning on a wave of the good, bad, and the pretty–but first wanted to say to Robin that I really hope you feel better soon. My understanding is that you have a slog ahead of you. And the least of your worries should be this blog–grateful you bothered to post today–but we’d all understand if you’d rather just sleep in…
We are all thinking of you!
In my neck of the woods the good is Rahele, which I have all but drained (another decant is wending its way to me shortly courtesy of Clarissa!), the bad is that yesterday we got sobering test results regarding my younger son. NOT cancer (always good to clarify that first) but he has an adrenal condition that is the result of his cancer treatment that means he is not producing enough cortisol. So he can go into shock very easily if he gets sick or injured–so it is another life change for us. The pretty? Two. Yes two foxes were prancing around our back yard last night and around the front of the house as well. In the front they were chasing insects and goodness knows what else under the street lamp so we were able to watch them easily. Our very fat and beloved tabby made a beeline to get into the house–understandably. That’ll teach him the dangers of coming home late! (Or not.)
Regarding the first paragraph, I concur. We can all wait for a later post if Robin needs her rest.
Regarding the second paragraph, I truly hope that there is a resolution to your son’s medical dilemma.
And I believe that I just received a sample of Rahele so I am excited to try it.
Wishing your son’s health situation gets solved in the best way. Sending warm thoughts.
That’s sounds tough regarding your son’s health. Wishing you and him the best outcome. I think that’s pretty treatable with steroids? Still hard, though.
I third your lovely note to Robin, Oakland Fresca. Rest and recuperate, and let the medicine do its magic, Robin.
OF, so sorry to hear of your son’s latest health news. Great that it’s not cancer, but it sounds like a real challenge. As a mom of a boy about to turn 15, sick or injured seems to be their resting state! So sending your strength and well wishes (and scent samples if that helps).
I adore your East Bay fox sighting. I spent my first 18 years living adjacent to the Chabot regional park, and loved all my wildlife visitations. Now I’m adjacent to Griffith Park in L.A. which is almost as good, although I have yet to see a fox. A great horned owl helps me keep the rodent population at bay though.
A fox sighting is considered VERY fortuitous! The fox symbolizes good fortune, luck and opportunity. The fox is also considered a savvy trickster and clever problem solver, a provider of guidance and quick ways around big obstacles. Seeing TWO is doubly great. I’m not much of New Ager, but I’ve had enough timely animal visitations to put some faith in them. No matter what, two foxes playing under the streetlight is just spectacular.
I’m sorry to hear that you need to make another change, but glad that the doctors caught your son’s condition and can help him stay healthy. Sending positive vibes your way.
Oh, you smell wonderful!
It’s good that the medical team was able to identify the condition (and, I assume, keep an eye on it). Wishing him better health.
Foxes! They’re so beautiful. And so is Rahele.
Hoping so much for a speedy recovery for you’re son. Dealing with you’re child’s ill health is so tough, I hope you’re both out the other side soon.
So sorry to hear about your son’s condition. Hope it is resolved soon and he’s back to normal. Cancer treatments have so many potential side effects!
Oakland, best of luck with the new normal regarding your son’s health. I’m glad to hear that you have plans in place for future posssibilities. On a different note, I very much enjoyed your foxes anecdote!
Really, spellcheck? You couldn’t catch that stupid typo up there? “Possibilities”.
I’m glad to hear you got a diagnosis, and it’s not cancer. All the best to you and your son as you manage his condition.
I love foxes, although they don’t really live where I am. I did, however, have a coyote trot through my driveway this morning!
Thank you Oakland, and boy — so sorry, but so glad you found it out before anything terrible happened.
I wish you and your son well as you figure out how best to live with this condition.
So sorry to hear about the adrenal issue, I hope they can find a solution for him.
Chiming in very late to say I think JFK had an adrenal condition that didn’t seem to hold him back, and I’m sure today’s treatments are vastly improved.
I have only 2 Givenchy scents-Ysatis mini and Indecence so I have a dab of Ysatis on my hand for tributary participation, which for a small dab, packs an oriental punch. Someone mentioned soapy yesterday and it does smell soapy to me.
My full-on SOTD is Rodin Olio Lusso since it’s warm enough today to not have it’s goodness buried under clothing.
I live in a very small building and while checking the pile of packages in the entry, saw someone got an order from Luckyscent. This same person previously got a package from a perfume supply company. I really want to know who this person is and whether it’s the person who snagged all the samples and products I put in the entry last year with a “take me!” sign! The prospect that one-of-us might live in my building makes me happy ????
Can you imagine if an NSTer did live in your building??? Serendipity!!!
That would be crazy! Sad that I hardly know anyone in the building and probably wouldn’t recognize anyone if I ran into them on the street. People aren’t super friendly and generally only say “hi” if I say hi to them-which I do since I have California blood in my veins.
Yay! It’s great that there’s a perfumista in your building. When you walk by someone wearing Dzing! or Jicky, you’ll know you found him/ her.
Ha! Right? I have smelled a lingering trail in the hall occasionally but nothing I can usually identify- I’m terrible at identiying otger people’s scents, even when it’s something I own.
I think that was me with the soapy reference. I wasn’t wild about that stage, but it does go away after a while and settles into a buttery tuberose.
Yes, it did become less soapy. It’s quite opulent. Glad I didn’t do a full on wearing as it’s pretty warm out and I think it would’ve knocked me out.
Ysatis = opulent, yes!
That would be really cool, if you made a perfume friend in your building!
I keep forgetting I have a mini of Ysatis.
It would be cool to make ANY friend in our building, lol. People. NYC is unique that way.
I went through a bottle of Ysatis years ago (and then went back to Opium), and I don’t remember finding it soapy–just more floral than I really liked at the time. I wonder if it’s changed much.
I hope the medicine works, and you start to feel better.
Today I’m wearing Cartier l’Envol, and eating chocolate malted milk balls, leftover from Easter. I need to restrain myself, but they are so delicious!! ๐
I just finished all our easter candy last night.
Once you start… I polished off 2 stacks of Thin Mint girlscout cookies last night ????
LOL! Oh goodness…that would be something I would do too!
I ate a whole pint of Ben & Jerry’s Cherry Garcia last night. My weakness for sweets is really dangerous!
You have excellent taste in ice cream ๐
I should’ve gone for ice cream. It seems healthier in comparison: milk(protein), cherries(fruit)…
Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!
I had to cut out dairy for all of last year, and I thought about malted milk balls EVERY SINGLE DAY.
NO gucci or givenchy so to get points I will do a Haiku
Foggy skies at dawn
Sleepy eyes searching for morning tea
Soapy suds of rose
SOTD Sous les magnolias, Pierre Bourdon
I love your haikus …………
Thank you!
Have a great birthday!
๐
I have just one Gucci scent (Rush) and two Givenchy scents (Organza Indecence and Le De). SOTD is Le De — one of my “fancy lady” scents, which goes perfectly with my working-from-home sweats and fuzzy slippers, no?
Hope you feel better soon, Robin.
I am wearing fuzzy slippers as well. Slipper twins?
Perfume is a daily delight not dependent on attire. ๐
I was once reading a style blog (for tips, obv!) and ran across a post where the author — who posted pics and a written description of her outfit and her makeup every. single. day — said that she only owned one perfume because it took too much time to choose what perfume to wear.
!!! Oh yes. I guess she enjoyed picking the clothes and the makeup and taking pictures of them, but in order to do it, she couldn’t waste time on picking a perfume. I sound like I’m scoffing at her, but really I was just thinking that I am perfectly happy in variations of the same outfit every day and don’t have time to choose something stylish to wear, but I’ll dither over SOTD for five minutes.
You pick your own obsessions, I suppose.
Oh yah. Y’know, one of the things I like best about a perfume obsession is that perfume goes with any outfit. Especially now that I work from home most of the time, I am not going to be bothered with dressing up, and most of my poor jewelry goes neglected (funny, I miss wearing fancy jewelry more than I miss wearing ‘work’ clothes). But I can always put on perfume.
Have been busy for a while and couldn’t really post let alone read anything on NST. Found a tick near my Lab’s eye and had to pull it out yesterday, not fun. Today I am wearing Theorema because I had such a craving.
You smell great!
Robin, I hope the treatment works and you feel better soon!
SotMorning was Fille en Aiguilles, for comfort on a hectic and rainy morning. Woke up too late and almost missed a work appointment.
Afternoon went for a run + shower, and now wearing Romanza.
TGIF!
Lovely SOTM!
Today we’re on general strike and I’ll be a Shalimar spot in the march. Have a beautiful weekend, NST!
And you will be the best smelling marcher ๐
Thank’s!
Hope you completely recover soon, Robin. Darn ticks!
Shalimar is great for marching!
Yep, very reassuring. Police is not looking very friendly today, lol.
You might want to spray some on them as well ๐
You smell wonderful. March on, solance!
I could have sworn I had a mini of Gucci Guilty around here somewhere, but it’s MIA. Wearing Mitsouko edt instead (hey, Guerlain is certainly the third big “G”!).
The *best* ‘G’, imho. You smell fantastic!
Oh jeez! Sorry you’re feeling worse. It usually takes ABT 24-48 hours to really make a difference, so I’m really hoping you turn the corner very soon and start feeling better.
I’m wearing Vetiver Tonka again but it’s mostly gone after a hike on the very windy beach. Just came back to use the restroom so now we will walk up the beach the other direction. I wish I had an ounce of this dog’s energy!
Happy Friday and Good Health wishes to all????
I will get there! Long nap today helped. And you smell fantastic!
Replying late, but appreciating your general Good Health wishes, and sending them back to you!
Gucci Rush it is. and for comparison’s sake, Clive Christian X for women on one wrist.
What’s the verdict?
X seems to have a bit more depth and complexity as it dries down, where I feel that Rush is more linear. X lasts longer on my skin and I get more jasmine from it than Rush. And then X has that strong milkiness which I really love. However, to the non-perfume enthusiast I’m not sure there would be a difference in the slightest haha. I enjoy wearing both.
Huh. I looked to see if it’s the same perfumeur and it’s not. No difference to the laynose except the price ???? Maybe Geza Schoen loves Rush?
Just wanted to wish you all the very best with your treatment, Robin – hope all goes well.
Thank you Carolyn!
Curious: What do y’all think of Gucci Envy? I have always wondered as I’ve never smelled it and now it’s discontinued.
I’ve only smelled the men’s, which has an interesting sesame note. It has five stars in The Guide. I really should have made more of an effort.
I so envy everyone blessed with the weather too hot for Organza Indecence. On the other hand, OI has been my sole comfort on this dreadful rainy day in my neck of the woods.
Well, you smell great even if the weather isn’t cooperating.
Love to Oakland Fresca and Robin!
1) In what has turned into my spring scent, Wild Blue Fig)Anatomy of a Fragrance), sprayed generously as it is a light fragrance.
2) Starting today, a break from the constant rain- partly cloudy, with sunshine and perhaps, perhaps rainbows?
3) And yay to me for organizing a last minute minute with our department head, who will be flying in from London!
Thank you for the good wishes and the three cheerful bits of news!
Happy Friday everyone! Organza Indecence is the only Givenchy I own (and no Gucci at all), but it is too warm here in San Diego for that (as it is most of the time, which is why my bottle is still mostly full!). I don’t believe I’ve ever owned any Gucci, but did have a bottle of Givenchy Fleur d’Interdit back when I was in college. It was a fruity floral, pretty forgettable but I enjoyed it at the time. Just spritzed on some Eclat d’Arpege, another fruity floral!
Fleur d’Interdit is pretty. But yes, forgettable.
Love Fleur D’Interdit. Wish it were available today.
Happy Friday, all! I don’t have any Gucci or Givenchy in my collection, so I’m in Galop again today (half points since it starts with “G”?). It’s funny — I usually match my perfume of the day to my mood, emotional needs, and the weather, and today’s choice is no exception, but Galop may be my one fragrance that I feel I need to match my clothes to. I only have two Galop-worthy tops — both are floral, and both are sumptuously feminine.
Partial credit for sure ๐
The only Givenchy bottles I have left are three old ones of L’Interdit (different vintages). L’Interdit used to be my signature fragrance years ago. As for Gucci, I still have bottle of Gucci I and Gucci II. However, today I completely forgot about Friday’s fragrance and sprayed myself with Ex Nihilo’s Musc Infini…it’s expensive but I love it.
I’m going Givenchy. I own 3 – Play, Xeryus Rouge and my SOTD Pi – and all 3 are still in production. I have one Gucci (Pour Homme) and they shamefully discontinued it (I won’t be running out any time soon though).
Yay, Pi!
My husband wears Play Intense and Pi, both of which I love on him.
Feel better soon, Robin!
I am in Fresh Violette today…
An oldie…came out in 2007 and has been discontinued for a while. I had a sample several years ago and found a bottle on eBay.
It is an interesting mix of floral and some woods. I notice cypress listed in the notes and that may contribute to why I like it. There is something green and spicy in it.
Hope everything is better now, She-Ra.
Yay, Violette! It’s an under the radar lovely.
I’ll get back to our email string this afternoon. So glad it’s Friday.
Robin, very best wishes for a complete recovery – Lyme is slime. Used to have GIV L’Interdit about 20-odd years ago and I have the GU Rush–plastic fun! I was intrigued by GIV Demoiselle but never got to own any. A puzzle: In 1983, Her Maj (aka my mother) brought back a tiny atomizer of 10 mL of Gucci parfum (not EDP) from California for me; what’s left of the juice is brownish but it still packs a punch like nobody’s business. I wish I knew enough about scent so that I could describe it to you… rest assured, it is no fruity floral Glade; I smell some powder up front, some bitter green in the background… The gold cap has a slim “belt” of Gucci red and green round the bottom rim and the GU logo in black serif font. I do not even know how to go about searching for this scent because details are so scant. Waaa. Again, I do hope you feel better soon.
Wondering if it is Gucci III….
There are no numbers; I believe this predates that series. The label on the underside says “Dist. by Scannon Ltd.-1/2 FL. OZ.- New York, New York 10019” (pardon the uppercase). I have no other clues, lo siento. Why is it that everyone used to try to outdo each other making memorable scents and now it’s the other way around? Money? IFRA? I’d pull my hair out if it wasn’t already looking like a Hagrid hair day for me.
Sometimes if you go on google images with a search like “gucci vintage” you will recognise your bottle and then will find the name that way by tapping on the picture. Same if you go on ebay and search “vintage gucci 1980s” or something like that.
Many thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I have tried the image way to no avail – but yes, maybe eBay. Thank you again.
Hi, dramalydia I believe that is the original 1983 Eau de Gucci. You can see the belt detail in the images with this blog post:
https://cleopatrasboudoir.blogspot.com/2014/11/eau-de-gucci-c1982.html
As you can see, the 1990s version lacks the belt.
I wore the concentree (shown in the left-most photo) earlier this week and commented that it reminds me of VC&A First. Mine hasn’t darkened, and it is still definitely still going strong after three decades. ๐
You could also try searching ebay for Eau de Gucci and vintage Gucci to see if you find a bottle that matches yours precisely, or if they used the belt on anything else.
Thank you, nozknoz, I appreciate the feedback. Believe it or not, this is not it – this is just straight perfume (parfum), not an eau nor an EDP nor an EDT. If I had a cellphone, I would take a photo and post the silly thing. Re First, this one is deeper and funkier. But I do so love First. Thank you again!
Antibiotics are rarely a stomach’s best friend. I hope you won’t have to take them for long.
I gave away my only Gucci a few months ago, and have 2 samples of Givenchy’s fragrances. So today I’m wearing Givenchy Vetyver which is a simply gorgeous elegant vetiver rendition that I would absolutely add to my collection if I didn’t own far too many already. But my sample is nearly gone, and I will miss wearing it.
Sorry to say it will be a long slog. I will make it because I have no choice! But do hate antibiotics and had managed a very long time without, so feeling very hateful towards the insect world right now.
I need to find my sample of Givenchy Vetyver — think I did not pay it enough attention because same here — have too many already.
I looked up the CDC guidelines wondering if they were a lot different from ours. 10-21 days, that is long. Ticks are such a nuisance. When I still had my dog, I never got any. I assume they’ rather bit her than me.
I just hope the queasiness will go away soon! I hate feeling like that.
There is so much disagreement about how long you should do! It is maddening. Plus, they no longer test for Lyme around here, at least not in the early stages, which kind of makes sense since the tests are not fantastic, plus so many ticks are cross-infected that knowing whether or not you have Lyme is not necessarily helpful.
Since I know I had an engorged tick that was almost certainly on my person more than 48 hours, and since I already had symptoms, I am doing 28 days, which is longer than some think you should do and less than others think.
Was wandering around an antique mart looking for jewelry this morning and I came across a display that had some older perfumes so I got Fidji, Deneuve, Sand and Sable, and most relevant to today’s challenge–Givenchy Organza, which I am so far liking. Grand total $20
Great haul! I think Deneuve is lovely.
My God, I never see perfume anywhere like that. Good for you!
Good luck with your treatment and recovery, Robin. Lyme disease is awful. I hope the course you’ve chosen works well for you!
I am wearing neither Gucci nor Givenchy (l’horreur!). I’ve never really been impressed with Gucci fragrances and I don’t think I own any Givenchy. So it’s Diptyque Eau Plurielle for me today.
you smell great! wanted to add in case you didn’t see it on a past post that I have a bottle of Balenciaga Rosabotanica that I never wear if you are interested. email me at madtolive88510 at gee male.
Oh my goodness I must have missed that! That’s so generous of you, thank you. I will contact you probably later today (I have to run to a lunch meeting). Thanks again!
I don’t have strong feelings on the subject of Gucci vs. Givenchy, so I went with which of my choices seemed like the best option for today: Gucci by Gucci edp. It has a lovely big fruity opening (guava, apparently), and then dries down to a quiet, somewhat boring musk. It works in hot weather and close quarters (after the opening settles down, anyway), so it will be a good choice for a hot day at a theme park. (WTH autocorrect moment: I hit the u instead of y in day, and it autocorrected to “dauphin.” Really?)
Hope your treatment goes well, Robin. Lynn Disease is a sneaky thing.
Thank you Laurels! And I like the autocorrect on the Lyme, Lynn disease sounds like something I’d rather have!
Robin, I hope you feel better very soon.
I have no Gucci or Givenchy, and I’ve never even tried anything by either house. I did a “G” week by wearing scents by Olivia Giacobetti Monday-Thursday. Today I was planning to wear Philosykos, but I just had to wear Beige, so Beige it is. At least there’s a g in the name?
Have a great Friday everyone!
Hey, partial credit for trying ๐
I’ve only a small bottle of vintage Givenchy II so I’m wearing a drop of that. Been long gone from the forum but it’s good to be back! And happy Friday.
Welcome back!
Big NO to both Gucci and Givenchy for me forever. Instead, testing Tom Ford’s Vert de Fleur today for the fourth time, wishing for a different outcome. It is mind-blowingly good for the first hour and then it drops off to a fake-y, bland, woody nothing.
Since I came of perfume age in the late 70’s/early 80’s, I have a thing for anything that reminds me of the Dioressence of that era. Arquiste Ella and TF Vert de Fleur both do that beautifully, but only for one hour each. So disappointing, and too pricey to have to re-spray every hour.
Feel better soon Robin!
Thank you Hemabelle!
Robin, I hope the antibiotics help you feel better soon.
I have 2 Givenchy frags and no Gucci, so today is the Amarige Harvest Mimosa I was planning on wearing yesterday before I was no rudely sidetracked by Salome. I really love this fragrance. My other choice was Organza Indecence but as I’ll be grubbing around in the yard today, neither organza nor indecence seemed appropriate.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a foaming face wash for dry-ish skin? I like the foamy part because it’s fun. I’ve been using Clinique foaming sonic but it’s not very moisturizing.
*so* rudely sidetracked. That Salome can be pushy.
The Omorovicza Cleansing Foam is luxurious and probably my favorite. But it is EXPENSIVE (ridiculously so)! More affordable and also really nice is Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser and Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser. Kate Somerville Gentle Daily Wash is also lovely although I don’t know how much the KS foams up, it’s a lovely gel consistency. Also, NEOGEN Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser is pretty good.
I have two favorite face washes that won’t break the bank
Not sure what part of the world you are living in but Trader Joes (which is a grocery store here in the USA) makes a great face wash called Nourish.
Tried and True my favorite is the good old fashion eggwhite soap that comes in the little blue box. I also use it on the rest of my body. I suffer from KP on the backs of my arms and tops of my thighs and this soap helps, without me using any of my other treatments. Has a light scent
I got a travel size of Origins Checks & Balances Frothy Face Wash. It has a really interesting texture and is mid-range in price. Website says it is “for all face types” and it isn’t drying to my relatively normal skin.
They have it at Sephora (or Origins counters of course) and they make a small size if you want to try it out!.
Scent twins! ๐ I’m wearing Amarige Harvest Mimosa as well.
Good luck with the Lyme disease treatment!
SOTD for me was Teo Cabanel “Early Roses”.
Top: jasmine, water notes, rose;
Mid: pink pepper, jasmine, rose;
Base: musk, amber, woody notes.
It’s a nice rose, fresh without being exactly green.
Wed and Thu I was too busy to comment. Wed was ELdO “Vierges et Toreros”, which I’ll have to re-test. Thu was L’Artisan “Mure et Musc Extreme” – that was fun, although not so much that I’ll be rushing to repeat it.
Just back home after a flight that was delayed 2 hours, so I have even less time for paperwork before we fly out to Malaga tomorrow. (I know, I know: first world problems) :^)
Teo Cabanel is a great house..love my alahiiiine
I like Early Roses — fresh but gentle, and enough woods in there that it doesn’t get screechy.
Thanks for the Ferragamo suggestion the other day. They aren’t stocked here but will keep it in mind.
Finally made it to NST! Late today…..
No Gucci or Givenchy today…not many of their scents (that I’ve tried, anyway) appeal to me, especially at work.
I was scentless today because of seasonal allergies/headache, but my sweatshirt is still wafting Aromatics in White, and it’s still gorgeous! Just the perfect amount of scent on a day when I really didn’t plan on wearing any….
HAPPY FRIDAY! ๐
That’s excellent you ended up with a scent bonus in just the right amount. Hope that headache goes away and stays away!
Hoping your treatment is effective, Robin, and your health is restored soon!
I got nothin’ on the Givenchy / Gucci front, other than the unfortunate Gucci sample from a few weeks ago.
I kinda forgot scent today, but I must say I was feeling very ladylike last night in Misia. It really does smell like the old-fashioned face powder my mom had. Love it. I think I’m entering a violet phase….
Thank you! And Misia is lovely ๐
Robin, I hope the treatment goes well and you get to feeling better asap!
It’s Givenchy for today’s project. Because I have no Gucci. I’m in Extravagance d’Amarige, from an adorable mini I’ve had forever. I may top it up with some original Amarige later, just for Luca Turin. ????
Have yourselves a fantastic Friday/Saturday, NSTers!
I imagine LT as the brother living in the tin-foiled house in Better Call Saul … Making visitors put their Amarige in the letter box before being allowed in.
???? TBH, I had to look that up since I don’t watch Better Call Saul–but, yeah, that sounds about right.
Brilliant!
I can’t bear Amarige, either. I wonder if there’s something in it that smells much stronger to some people than others.
Interesting thought. Amarige is definitely nuclear, so I’d guess it’s more a matter of how well one can tolerate a tuberose PMD (perfume of mass destruction).
Feel better soon, Robin!
No Gucci or Givenchy, I think. We had to take Mr Cat to the oncologist for a check-up this morning, and he was stressed out, so I gave myself a good dose of Tabac Aurea to help de-stress me. Simply gorgeous. Anyway, Mr Cat is fine ๐ I met lots of lovely cats and dogs out there; I hope they are on the road to recovery, too.
Tabac Aurea, yum. Give Mr Cat an ear scritch for me, please.
Done! He enjoyed it briefly, until he decided that it had become intolerable, and immediately sprang up to the top of the cat tower.
I don’t have strong feelings on Gucci vs. Givenchy because I don’t have much from either of them. I only have one full bottle between the two, that being Gucci Rush, but I didn’t feel like wearing it. So today I’m wearing a little bit of vintage Givenchy III from a little mini that I got in an antique shop. It’s mostly a mossy skin scent at this point, but it is a lovely green.
A good friend of mine had Lyme disease but with proper treatment she beat the sucker. I hope yours will be a success too!
I’m wearing CK Truth (from a fresh bottle i got this week — first FB this year) and wishing I had some Gucci pour Homme on hand.
Keeping my fingers crossed! And wish I had a whole bottle of Gucci Homme, should have bought one when I could.
For the sake of the theme, scoured through the sample pile and found a single Givenchy…so Givenchy Play it is. This is guy stuff with a capital G. Citrusy woody thing, pleasant enough.
Looking forward to shower time and choosing Chanel.
Ok, I’ll have to give this its due…went for a bike ride in the sun with this on and the drydown is rather nice. A bit of salty-sweet coffee and it has some legs. Still guy stuff imo but nice.
Good!
The only Gucci or Givenchy I have is a Bamboo sample from Sephora and it’s blah to me. I have a busy day and needed to feel like a bad-ass for various meetings and deals, so I’m in my Shalimar.
HAPPY FRIDAY, everyone! I need this weekend badly!
Yep, that Shalimar’s totally a badass! Happy Friday to you, too!
I have a soft spot for Givenchy because of Ysatis. I received it as a gift when I was about eighteen, and to me it was magical!. Organza also became a favorite. However, over the years I have leaned towards Gucci for recent offering’s. Accenti, Rush, Gucci, Guilty Black, ENVY! All have been loved by me. I had a busy day and forgot about the challenge, so sotd was Muse. A new love of mine.
Wearing vintage Givenchy 111, it’s a splash bottle, and I really wish I could spray it with abandon, it’s so good! Must check out the current version, it’s supposedly very good. Perfect scent to accompany a visit to National Trust’s Scotney castle, lots of green and floral smells wafting around, Givenchy 111 complimented the atmosphere beautifully.
I hope you begin to feel better soon, Robin.
I’m just home after a few days up in Central Otago. In autumn there is a very reduced landscape colour palette: elephant hide grey hillsides, vivid red rose hips, yellow poplars the colour of golden delicious apples, and the deep green of the Clutha river. Such a beautiful, quiet place. Monsieur Li today.
ohhhhh, M. Li + that landscape = perfect
That sounds so wonderful. It’s really windy here right now–therefore neither beautiful nor quiet–so I’ll imagine that landscape instead. ????
I kept waffling between trying a Givenchy sample or a Gucci sample for today’s project. The weather decided for me: SOTD = Gucci No. 3 EdP. It’s a floral chypre in the grand 80’s style, but somehow it also works in warm muggies.
Glad to hear that you are on antibiotics already, Robin. I hope that your recovery is fast and smooth.
Thanks, me too!
Glad you are getting prompt treatment for that evil Lyme disease, Robin! I hope the yucky feeling subsides very soon.
Since I have nothing from either Gucci or Givenchy (and have a shocking lack of history with both), I had intended to observe the letter of the law by wearing something from another house starting with G — perhaps Goutal. Alas, that intention slipped my mind when I went to select my SOTD, and today’s summery weather inspired me to choose JM Basil & Neroli. I bought a small bottle of this one for myself when I was buying a large one for my mom last Christmas. I sure hope she’s enjoying it as much as I am!
And if she’s not, hope she gifts it back to you ๐
It’s a warm day here, so Gucci Rush for me. I think Rush a fantastic fragrance. Nonetheless, I wonder if it would have been such a hit without the perfection of the name, packaging, timing, and publicity.
Later I may wear my Givenchy Harvest 2007 Organza Jasmine, one of my favorite bedtime jasmines.
Scrolling through the brand lists on Fragrantic, I am astonished by the number of Givenchy fragrance and flankers. I wonder if there is a Givenchy fanatic somewhere who has smelled all of them. I doubt that anyone at Givenchy has. ๐
Looking at the Gucci list, which is long enough, I can see that I’ve smelled very few of them, even missing some well-regarded ones. It wears me out just thinking about how many fragrances there are in these two brands, most of them are entirely superfluous, no doubt.
Also, Robin, glad you’ve gotten the Lyme’s diagnosed and found treatment – hope you feel better soon!
Thank you! And yes, wow — busy brands, those 2. I think of Givenchy as the worse offender just because of the flankers.
I have a couple of decants of those Givenchy Harvest things, and they are both lovely. It’s a shame they stopped making them.
feel better soon <3
Thank you!
My pick is Gucci Homme too. I hope the treatment goes well!
Almost twins! (I never did put on fragrance today.) And thanks.
Had to get the out the Givenchy Vetyver, my first full bottle.
You smell great!
sota = Ysatis de Givenchy
From an old old old manufacturer sample, it’s the only scent from Givenchy I have, and I’m delighted to wear it. Everything-but-the-kitchen-sink style opulence is a treat from time to time. Ysatis reminds me of Rochas Femme, but it’s not quite so forward.
I thought I had at least one Gucci sample somewhere but couldn’t find anything. Perhaps I used it up. Oh well, searching gave me a nice excuse to toss the stash and see what’s lurking in the sample pile. I found a vial of Prada by Prada that I don’t remember, so perhaps later today . . .
Happy weekend, everyone. Naps and perfume for all!
Amarige Harvest Mimosa for me today. I like this perfume but do not wear too often. Mimosa (or at least its believable chemical representation) is clearly there. Any development – not there: it stays practically unchanged for the duration of its (long) life on my skin. I would not have bought it again today but I do not regret hunting down this LE bottle years ago.
Thought we’d see more of the harvest scents today!
I almost wore one of my two decants, but the weather and occasion pushed me toward Gucci by Gucci. The two I’ve tried are wonderful.
Robin, best wishes to you for a speedy and uncomplicated recovery. Thank you so much for bringing us all together here and you are much appreciated. This venue that you’ve created has enhanced so many lives around the globe and brought us together and I sincerely thank you for that.
Oh, thank you Holly!
Holly- that was beautifully put…and I second that ๐
Hear, hear!
Sending best wishes for a quick response to the lymes treatment! And so hope you’re feeling better soon.
Grateful for your commitment to this community.
Thank you Floragal!
What a (perfumed) day!
SOTD = Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme
Nice enough but perhaps a little too masculine for me. This would be the cheaper equivalent of Le Labo Cuir 28. I decided to layer it with my universal layerer to counteract butch leather or uber birch tar — Le Labo Vanille 44. And all was right with the world.
I had a late afternoon meeting at a downtown location. Lo and.behold, i was able to easily go from the office to Twisted Lily for start of Sniffapalooza.
This time around, I did not see anyone I know personally so I was able to maximize my eating, drinking and sniffing time. I ended up with a 100 mL bottle of Le Galion Sortilege which to me smells like a slightly brighter version of Chanel No. 22. One of the women said it smells like Joy. Since I have no idea what Joy smells like, I couldn’t agree or disagree. Does any here think that No.22 and Joy smell similar?
I also bought a bar of Tauer Majestic Tuberose. Of course seeing the Tauer stuff reminded me that I have the Mandarin Amber Soap and some perfume oil samples that have not yet arrived…will need to get a status on that stat!
As for samples, I got Gallivant Brooklyn, Istanbul and London. The bottles are a cute 30 mLs for a not so cute price ($95). I also don’t recall ever seeing CB I Hate Perfume testers but they were there today. I got a sample of Burning Leaves.
Despite not deliberately trying any perfume on skin, I must have reeked havoc as someone who sat next to me got up immediately to sit at a less desireable seat.
Tomorrow is another Sniffapalooza Day. I am looking forward to catching up with WendySue and hearing what Chandler Burr says about his ELDO perfume colloboration. Insmelled this at Twisted Lily but did not feel compelled to ask for a sample.
I will report back on Sniffapalooza over the weekend!
By the way, if anyone is interested in a split of Le Galion Sortilege, please email me. It will be about $20 for 10mLs.
Joy and No. 22 have a similar density and floral weightiness, but that’s about it for any similarity for me.
Once I woke up in the night because the dab of No. 22 I wore that evening had invaded my dreams. It is much heavier on the aldehydes and smells a bit like cola to me. Joy is flowers flowers flowers then dirty bits and more flowers. I do enjoy them both but probably prefer Joy over No. 22.
lOOking forward to your next Sniffa field report. ๐ And lol to that person who moved to another seat.
In my recollection of Joy that I wore many many many years ago, I don’t remember a similarity to 22.
Sniffapalooza is this weekend? Can’t wait to hear/read about all of your reports ๐
I will be in the big Apple today meeting up with my childhood friend of 49 years. We will most likely be eating (my favorite activity) and walking up Madison Ave and stopping into the places mentioned by lovestosmellgood and Elisa P. Through them I know now that there are many sniffing places to visit ๐
Woop! I’ll be in that area closer to 6PM-ish. Have fun!
I love living/sniffing vicariously through you, Hajusuuri! Looking forward to your Saturday report from Sniffa. Hope to make it to one myself someday…
I’ve had Lyme twice so I sympathize with you Robin. I hope you feel better quickly!
SOTD was a small spray of Organza Indecence, my only Givenchy.
