Christophe Laudamiel Over 21 ~ exhibit

Posted by Robin on 16 January 2017 6 Comments

Perfumer Christophe Laudamiel will present Over 21, an adults-only fragrance exhibit, at the Dillon + Lee Gallery in New York City, from January 19 through February 17.

Dillon + Lee is pleased to present Christophe Laudamiel's "Over 21."

This solo exhibition will present scents designed to evoke complex and adult responses to topics of sex, addiction, taboos, and recreation. The exhibition invites viewers to sit at different stations around a long table and consume the scents as if one was participating in a meal. The scent of a virgin- orgy- opium-maplethorpe-and other surprises will be offered in both traditional and technologically forward osmo curated platform.

For more information, see the Dillon + Lee website.

As interesting as this sounds, it may end up being a skankfest. Christophe was at one of the Sniffapaloozas and he seems like a silent waters run deep kind of person.

Didn’t he also do the Mugler box for the Perfume movie? That’s what this reminded me of.

Yes! I think he plays the “enfant terrible” of noses to the hilt. But I really enjoyed the presentation that the Sniffa ladies put on in conjunction with the movie. There was another Christophe, too, but I can’t remember his last name.

All of the above comments, but I’m going to try to see it anyway.
