Lush Cardamom Coffee, I’m Home & Amelie Mae ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 7 November 2016 7 Comments

Lush Cardamom Coffee

Lush UK's Kitchen* has introduced three new perfumes: Cardamom Coffee, I'm Home and Amelie Mae. Reportedly, some or all of these are previews for Gorilla Perfume Volume 4.

Cardamom Coffee ~ "The perfume of autumn rises from the ground. Your mittened hands wrap around a cardamom coffee, a fragrance that speaks of more than just warming spices and a rich aroma. It's a comforting hand on yours, a gift from someone who had nothing left to give. A reminder of human generosity. You inhale deeply. The sweet spices of cardamom oil lift you out of your world, into someone else's. Rose oil, a delicate floral reminder of the summer. Olive leaf absolute, an extension of peace. Conkers and acorns cloak the earth, rusty leaves crunch under foot, gently fading into winter." £50.

I'm Home ~ "A world of adventures is left outside the door, the perfume of home beckons. As I step over the threshold, a blanket of vanilla absolute wraps me up in a warm embrace, leaving a sweet scent. A pot of gently spiced chocolate bubbles on the stove, cocoa absolute drawing out memories of all the things I love. I sink into folds of the familiar arm chair, well-read books resting against walls. The warming scent of benzoin resinoid gently strokes across my skin. The creak of the stairs say, "She's coming to greet you!" As the windows protect me from the rain, and the air crackles with a warming fragrance, I know, I'm home." £36 (and currently sold out).

Amelie Mae ~ Reportedly created by Simon Constantine for his youngest daughter. "A perfume garden sweetened with rose absolute and ylang ylang oil, where a sugared floral fragrance waltzes in the air. Dancing on tiptoes, Amelie Mae selects each petal carefully, letting them fall around her in the gentle breeze. Light on her feet, fancy free. Bumblebees scatter from the lavender, and she plucks juicy raspberries from the canes. Her sister** passes her a Turkish rose, letting the scent skip between them." £30.

Lush Cardamom Coffee, I'm Home and Amelie Mae are available for a limited time, in 30 ml.

* The Kitchen is where Lush UK releases "small batches of exclusive products", sometimes for fun, sometimes to test new products, sometimes to release old ones for a limited time. The perfumes are usually in plainer packaging than the regular Gorilla Perfumes line. Bonus PSA: they've got Flying Fox shower gel at the moment.

** That would be Imogen Rose.

I truly hope these a) make it to the States, and b) do so faster than the last batch did. Cardamom coffee (well, lattes, specifically) is my favorite and what I’d give to smell like it!

I have never tried putting cardamom in my coffee, and was just thinking that I might have to try it tomorrow morning! Mmm that sounds wonderful.

After posting this, I saw a reference to these on a Lush FB page that did call them part of Volume 4.

I hope so too. We never did get all of Volume 3, IIRC.

Koyel, Cardamom cold brew coffee is easy to make and delicious! I can’t have coffee much these days, but I grind fresh cardamom every day for my roasted dandelion tea, which is my next best thing.

Fingers crossed we get these here in the US. Cardamom coffee is calling my name.

These all sound fabulous. I’ll be in London late December / early January and I may. be lucky enough to snag a set of these before they go poof. I am not holding my breath, though, to avoid being disappointed.
