Posted by Robin on 4 February 2015 20 Comments

Hermès Le Jardin de Monsieur Li

Hermès will launch Le Jardin de Monsieur Li, the fifth fragrance in the Jardin series that includes Un Jardin en Méditerranée, Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, Un Jardin Apres La Mousson and Un Jardin Sur Le Toit.

Le Jardin de Monsieur Li was inspired by a Chinese garden and features notes of kumquat and jasmine. It was developed by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena.

Hermès Le Jardin de Monsieur Li will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Ooooh! New Le Jardin! When?!? How long does it usually take between these ‘will be released’ notifications and the actual release?

Don’t know, sorry…they’re not frequent enough to say. But I think the last couple were Feb/March.

I hope they release it in those cute lil 15mL minis they do so often! I am curious about this one if only because the advertisement image is so very pretty.

There is a traditional Chinese teahouse in the Bois de Boulogne named Mademoiselle Li–I wonder if there is a connection? I have either liked or loved every Jardin so far (favorite to least; Nil, Mediterrannee, Mousson, Toit).

Kumquat and jasmine? Hermés? This can only be very interesting. Also I adore Hermés bottles 🙂

This sounds interesting, I wonder what the dry down is like. Probably a transparent woody/musk?

I love and wear Nil and Mediterrannee, so this might be in the same vein…

I love those bottles (and the 15 ml ones), but none of the Jardin scents have captured my heart. Maybe this one will :).

Funny, I don’t like the name — and I don’t think it goes well with the other names, which are more vague and are “Un Jardin,” not “Le Jardin.” Nitpicking.

But I am excited. I love the Jardins series. Love them!

      I agree on the “Un..” “Le…” thing…
I guess they want to start a different type of series within the Jardins theme. So I predict a foursome of “Le”s too.

Which is OK for me, as the little boxes that hold the 15ml bottles only have room for 4 bottles each! 😀
