Annick Goutal Vent de Folie ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 22 June 2014 10 Comments

Annick Goutal Vent de Folie

Annick Goutal will launch Vent de Folie, a new fragrance for women, in September.

A spot of color, a sweet pea whose petals inspire a sensation of lightness, the desire to fly. The idea grew, flourished, to eventually become a flower in the city. [...] Hedione fills the air, carried by the wind, an imaginary flower… It captures in its filmy wake the tangy light of the Blood Orange, the lively energy of the Geranium Rosa, the sweetness of the Blackcurrant and the Raspberry… Vent de Folie leaves a soft and powdery veil on the skin, woven with the thread of White Musk and Cedar Bark.

Vent de Folie was developed by perfumer Isabelle Doyen.

Annick Goutal Vent de Folie will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

(quote via lamodecnous)

Update: the notes for the 'sweet floral', as listed on the Annick Goutal website, include blood orange, geranium rosat, blackcurrant, raspberry, white musk and cedar bark.

ooooh a new AG? Too bad I don’t care for blood orange, sweet pea or blackcurrant. But perhaps AG could make it work!

Yes, AG made the blackcurrant/floral theme work with Eau de Charlotte imo. Hopefully they will do it again with this new one. Worth a try for sure.

Don’t know if it helps or hurts, but elsewhere have seen mention that this one is geared young.

Young, perhaps a good dose of the raspberry then? Who knows. Will sniff it…hey, at least there’s no pear:).

I was just thinking to myself the other day that there are not a lot of really good sweet pea perfumes. This one sounds promising. A must try for me.

I am not sure this is actually a sweet pea perfume…but they did have masses of sweet peas at the launch. We’ll see!

Will definitely try this – though I am still recovering from the devastation of AG discontinung Eau de Camille, which was my signature scent for years!

If this is anything like “A Shot of Fresh Sweet Peas” by Jo Loves, I will gladly pass. Sweet Peas are definitely a note I don’t care for in a fragrance. But, on the other hand, love a fragrance with Blood Orange. Depending on what the dominant note is what would sway me one way or the other.
