Thierry Mugler Les Liqueurs de Parfums ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 4 September 2013 10 Comments

Thierry Mugler Les Liqueurs de Parfums, Womanity and Alien

Thierry Mugler has launched (or re-launched) Les Liqueurs de Parfums, limited edition versions of Angel, Alien Womanity and A*Men. As in prior Liqueurs de Parfums editions from the brand, the fragrances have been aged in wood casks in a process similar to that used for Angel Les Parts des Anges.

Womanity Liqueurs de Parfum (above left) ~ "Les Liqueurs De Parfum by Thierry Mugler is a limited edition fusion between Womanity and the world of sprits thanks to a patented method inspired by traditional techniques used to produce the finest vodkas. Womanity Liqueurs de Parfum is aged in toasted oak caskets to reveal a sensual and biting fragrance with dried fruit and hazelnut accents and intense woody notes with a subtle hint of spice." In 50 ml.

Alien Liqueur de Parfum (above right) ~ "Les Liqueurs De Parfum by Thierry Mugler is a limited edition fusion between Alien and the world of sprits thanks to a patented method inspired by traditional techniques used to produce the finest Rums. Alien Liqueur de Parfum is aged in toasted oak caskets to reveal a rich and sensual fragrance with woody amber notes that are subtly almondy." In 30 ml.

Thierry Mugler Les Liqueurs de Parfums, Angel

Angel Liqueur de Parfum ~ "Les Liqueurs de Parfum by Thierry Mugler is a limited edition fusion between Angel and the world of sprits thanks to a patented method inspired by traditional techniques used to produce the finest Cognacs. Angel Liqueur de Parfum is aged in toasted cherry wood caskets to reveal a smoky fragrance with delicious accents of subtly honey-sweet candied fruit and sensual amber notes." In 35 ml.

A*Men Pure Malt (not shown) ~ "Les Liqueurs De Parfum by Thierry Mugler is a limited edition fusion between Amen and the world of sprits thanks to a patented method inspired by traditional techniques used to produce the finest Whiskies. Amen Pure Malt is aged in toasted oak caskets to reveal a smoky fragrance imbued with elegance, intensifying a lingering note that is subtly peaty and exceptionally noble." In 100 ml.

The Thierry Mugler Les Liqueurs de Parfums can be found now at Selfridges in the UK, £40-45.

Maybe I’m hungry, or just feel like a drink – hey, it’s five o’clock somewhere – but the Angel version sounds pretty good. And the bottle is over the top but striking nonetheless. Maybe I need my head examined? Not generally a Mugler fan.

I thought the original Angel Liqueur was great stuff, and I am not usually a fan of Angel.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Womanity at least must be new, since the previous Liqueurs de Parfums pre-dated the launch of Womanity?

I almost bought Pure Malt but then I missed it, so this interests me.

That was a nice one. I really liked A*Men Coffee too.

I was going through my samples and I came across an evaporated vial of Pure Coffee. What a depressing discovery.

Love that Alien bottle! I was tempted by the recent Alien Absolue (something like that), but ultimately decided it was just a bit blunt. Wish it were easier to try these things. As in, I’m so jaded and confused by the plethora of Mugler flankers that a sample would have to magically appear on my laptop keyboard in order for it to be likely that I will ever test it. I’d like that, though. :-)

These all sound wonderful! I wonder if my local Nordstrom will carry this line????

Always worth checking. I found Womanity Taste of Leather online at Nordstrom when others said it hadn’t been released in the US. Nordstrom seems to carry Mugler pretty thoroughly.
