Fragrance gifts for Mother’s Day 2013, part 3

Posted by Robin on 2 May 2013 10 Comments

Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday, 12 May — here is our final set of gift ideas in case you're still shopping. If you missed it, check out part 1 and part 2.

Charlotte Olympia perfume-bottle-shaped clutch purses

From Charlotte Olympia, hinged perfume-bottle-shaped clutch purses made from colored perspex. $1295 (gulp!) each at Neiman Marcus.

BBW 2013 Love Mom candle

A wee bit friendlier to the budget, a "Love Mom" 3 wick candle from Bath & Body Works: "Delight all of the moms in your life this Mother's Day with a beautiful blend of florals, citrus and the perfect hint of mint!" Currently marked down to $15 at Bath & Body Works.

Nest Fragrances liquid hand soap

From Nest Fragrances, liquid hand soaps in a variety of fragrances from Orange Blossom to Blue Garden to Moroccan Amber. $22 each at Nest Fragrances. Matching body creams are $32, Body Wash is $28.

Comme des Garçons + Stephen Jones fragrance

I am still waiting for someone to give me this for Mother's Day: the Comme des Garçons fragrance for Stephen Jones. Hey, it's cheaper than the Charlotte Olympia clutch! In 55 ml Eau de Toilette, $175 at Luckyscent.

L'Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse body oil

From L'Artisan Parfumeur, the ever popular La Chasse aux Papillons in dry body oil. 100 ml, $70 at Barneys.

Acca Kappa Body Butter

From Acca Kappa, shea body butter in the brand's White Moss fragrance. $58 at Acca Kappa.

I assume that clutch looks less…cheap IRL! Or is it the case of that famous Dolly Parton quote ‘it’s expensive to look this cheap’!

They don’t look like 1300 smackeroos, do they? But I do think they’re cute.

Perspex is basically clear plasticy stuff, isn’t it? Like Lucite? I’m sure those look just as cheap in person, if not more so!

I’m with you on the Stephen Jones. Problem is, I’d be through that expensive as heck bottle in a year. 🙁

slightly off topic: my mother is still wearing K de Krizia, her signature fragrance, which is becoming more and more difficult to find. i read Krizia re-issued the perfume with a new package, but still -very hard to find. does anybody knows any perfume that can replace that?

Should be easy to stock up on eBay, though!
