I would adore the Lipstick Rose lotion, but I must admit that I don’t quite get the Le Labo amulet. What IS it??

Ari, I think that Le Labo Amulet is for the oils to use them as a room fragrance but I’m not sure.

I agree that that is what it sounds like, but an amulet is usually a necklace. Perplexing…

I think it’s too heavy for a necklace to put on a chain, from what I’ve heard. Large-ish too. I think it would be good for a car. Or room scent.

It is essentially a portable way to scent your “personal space”. Might be convenient for the office? Or car? Or I guess it could scent a drawer or your purse.

And adding — after other people commented on the practice, I started keeping Papier d’Armenie in my purse, it’s actually lovely. And can verify that if you put your things in the wrong part of your purse, you end up with Papier d’Armenie scented gum, which is actually better than it sounds 🙂

Funny. Someone from the Posse sent me one leaf of Papier D’ Armenie Year of Armenia in France 2006 and I just love love love it – i couldn’t stop huffing the plastic baggie.

Anyway, my purse/accidental scent story has to do with chewing gum (I think it was strawberry flavored) and unscented hand lotion (Philosophy Hands of Hope) which became strawberry-scented lotion 🙂

That is the Papier d’Armenie I love & keep in my purse, and everywhere else. I mixed it with Orbit Peppermint gum, which really does sound disgusting but it’s actually sort of wonderful, although I doubt anyone but a perfumista would love the combo.

        Aren’t all diffusers portable?

Well, no — you couldn’t keep a reed diffuser in your purse, right?

I wonder how the Jonquile candles smells like. One of the local stores has it in its offer but you can’t give it a whiff in store as they sell the candles only in their e-shop which is a shame.

Oh, that’s too bad. I don’t know how true it is though, I haven’t seen one in the wild.

“Here, ma. A concrete cylinder in a gunmetal case. You dribble oil on it and it smells nice.”

Just kidding. I’m sure many mothers (and others) would love it. Hrm. What CAN I get my mother?

I want one of those adorable solids. Haven’t smelled them though, so can’t vouch that they’re good.

Ditto on the candle & the solid perfumes…the shells are really pretty.
The symbol on the L’Occitane looks like an ampersand rather than “g”.

It is an ampersand — the fragrance names in that line are all “one nute” & “another note.”

Those solids look lovely and sound intriguing – but are too expensive for a blind buy! But then, most things are too expensive for a blind buy nowadays…

Agree. Wish someone would buy the jasmine or the vetiver and tell me how it is. Actually curious about the ylang too.

Can anyone speak to the sillage/longevity of the Malle lotion? You know how I love me some Lipstick Rose!

I hear fabulous things about the (more expensive) body butters, but actually don’t know about the lotions.

95 dollars for lotion…it better be good..and no, I don’t think I could spend 95 on a lotion..unless it came with a mini of the EDP as well.

I would not spend it on myself, but I might for a present.

I’m thinking about all my toddler is going to be able to afford is Olive & Oud soap. Or maybe the Santa Maria Novella Carta d’Armenia, though that’s probably a bit rich for her. 🙂

I’ve been asked which luxury Parfum I want
    1. Amouage Opus 4
    2. Carnal Flower
    3. Portrait of a Lady.
Opus is the only one unsmelled and I love LABDANUM so I don’t know. I’ve longed for Portrait and more over Carnal Flower but I need help. Help?
