Marie Claire magazine has announced the winners of their third annual International Fragrance Awards (Prix International du Parfum). The winners were selected by the beauty journalists at Marie Claire (France and international).
Best Fragrance for Women ~ Chanel Coco Noir
Most Daring Fragrance for Women ~ Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire

In addition to the international awards, the staff for each country-edition selects an award winner. The 2013 prize for France went to Maison Martin Margiela Replica Beach Walk.

Most daring, LPRN?
Yep!
I know I’ve said this before, but it irks me to see flankers win awards. I know this is a mainstream publication, but really? A flanker? GO smell some indie perfumers, Marie Claire.
It does not bother me at all if a flanker wins, although seems to be it would be better if it was a good flanker. But good fragrances only rarely win awards.
I think I’m just bitter that Coco Noir was such a disappointment and it’s winning so many awards. I’m not a crazed flanker hater, LOL.
Oh, that’s fine — it’s reasonable to be disappointed when less than good fragrances win awards. I’m so used to it now that I don’t expect anything else.
The packaging award was a quite respectable choice.
I suspect that Indies do not purchase many tables at FIFI banquets and do not advertise in Marie Claire.
Agree — Florabotanica deserves it.
I’m still waiting for Florabotanica to hit the super discounted shelves and I will buy one just for the bottle.
It’s tempting!
