She wears the clothes, they don’t wear her

A "making of" for Kylie Minogue's new Couture fragrance. The sound is slightly out of sync.

they made a commercial for their commercial? Oh and look, they all have such a nice, firm grip on the party line, isn't it just adorable?

Ok, having another snarky day here. I must seriously be out of the loop…in fact I'm so far out of the loop, I can't even SEE the loop but I have no idea who this woman is! Model? Actress? Reality TV personality? Those are intriguing gloves she has on…

these u-tube entries are fun though. Jaclyn Smith reminding me to be naughty yesterday, Natalie Portman grappling for perfume ( I just knew that girl was BAD), white horses in meadows…yup, fun.

    Are you from the US?

She isn't very popular here (which is too bad because I would kill to go to the KylieX2008 tour but she's not bringing it here!!!)

But in Europe, Australia and South America she is very popular.

She makes dance music and wears pretty clothes

and she did a song with Nick Cave in the 90's

this is one of her few US hits

Kylie Minogue is one of the world's biggest pop stars. It's fine if you don't know who she is, but let's not cast her aside as though she's a passing fad, or a flavor-of-the-week celebrity who is cashing in on their fame before it escapes them.

Kylie Minogue started out as a child actress in the 80's, and started her music career in 1987. She had her first big hit in the US, a cover of the song Loco-motion, in 1988. In the past 20+ years, she's sold over 60 million albums worldwide, and has topped the charts in the UK and Australia (as well as other countries around the world) a number of times.

She's truly an icon, and not to mention, one of the sweetest celebrities out there today.

The art site I belong to is based in Australia, and they LOVE her there! I saw a photo of a statue erected in her honor that was just plain awesome – a bronze in capri pants with RED shoes on! Amazing. Anyway, she shows up here in the US now and again – I saw her on one of the boot-off shows of Dancing with the Stars.

    Okay, found the image:

That's o.k., folks were calling Madonna a passing fad back in 1984, when she was at all the NY clubs. And she's still here, 25 years later…..

Love the staging and clothes. Looks like Galliano or Gaultier?

    Gaultier

Gareth Pugh did some of designs, but I don't know which ones…

    maybe the dancers' outfits?

Late getting to this one, so thanks to everyone who chimed in! She really is not as well known in the US as she is elsewhere.

I am not sure if all us Aussies love the singing budgie. I, for one, find her voice totally annoying but she is successful so good on her.

I wish I could see her in concert

I watch the X tour videos allll the time

I know she has a lot of other fans in the US, I think she could come to NY and LA

lol – but there are enough of you who do to erect a statue!

    I don't think she's all that, either, voice-wise.
