Prends Garde à Toi, also for women, is from perfumers Jean and Aurélien Guichard, and features green notes, jasmine, other flowers, nettle and warm sand.

Piège à Filles is a spicy oriental for men from perfumer Anne Flipo. The notes include citrus, cumin, woods, heliotrope and almond.

Sacré Coeur is a woody aromatic with a mineral effect. The fragrance for men was developed by perfumer Laurent Bruyère, and the notes include citrus, chablis accord, fruity notes, tobacco, leather, ginger and patchouli.

Fittingly, Poopoo Pidoo is No. 2 on the list. Sorry, someone had to say it!

Are those photos their ads? They're seriously weird! Judging from the color of the top juice, I'd say the scent is meant for women. Are we supposed to imagine ourselves that freaky doll? Or is the scent made for men and it reduces women to dolls? There's a doll in the second photo as well; I suppose it's a theme in these ads?

Yep — the women's perfumes all have female dolls, the men's have male dolls. Kind of funny, I think…

A perfume that smells like pot and incense, pretty funny. I'd love smell that.

…and don't forget the one that smells like chablis…

So you either smell like a boozer or a pothead!

    Nice!

    Great choices for men…

…and the Piège a filles has cumin which, even in the best mixes, still smells like someone that hasn't showered in days..

See the links to the reviews in the comments below…that one sounds quite different than you'd think!

Not be be pedantic (yeah right!), but I believe the correct reference is “Boop Boop a Doop.” Or maybe that's been copyrighted? 😉

They sound great. Weird, but great. And the price point is nice.

Between the names and the ads, I've got to try these. I'm remembering our string on Nuit de Cellophane…maybe some of our French-speaking friends can enlighten us Anglophones on the derivation of Poopoo Pidoo. How much fun will THAT be when someone asks what you're wearing?

LOL…yes, perhaps they were not able to trademark that wording.

Pretty sure Poopoo Pidoo is the French translation of Boop Boop a Doop 😉

I love everything about these so far without having smelled them. Love the ads, and the fragrances sound really good, especially and horrifyingly the Poopoo Pidoo. Me Myself and I sounds like a tuberose I could possibly get behind.
Jamais le Dimanche is going to smell like all our rooms did after we were smoking dope and using that “ozone” spray and incense to try to mask it. Pretty funny.

Boop Boop a Doop would be an association to Betty Boop.

PooPoo Pidoo is more than likely an allusion to Marilyn Monroe's

“I wanna be loved by you” (it's how she ends the song)

As stated above, I'm pretty sure about the allusion to Marilyn Monroe.

“Prend Garde à toi” is from the opéra Carmen and

“Jamais le dimanche” is a grec film (en grec Ποτέ την κυριακή, Poté tin kyriakí) staring Melina Mercouri. (about an american tourist that becomes friend with a greek prostitute that receives clients every day… except Sunday.)

ROFL! I'd be leery of a perfume called “poopoo”. And I'd probably burst into uncontrollable giggles if somebody asked me, “What are you wearing?”. OK, so I'm juvenile.

I'm going with the French pronunciation of “boop boop, etc.”, from the song “I wanna make love to you”, sung by Marilyn while her “girlfriends” drooled. “Prends garde…” from Carmen (a hottie in her own right). “Never on Sunday” starred Melina Mercouri – that smoky voice! “Me Myself and I” was popularized by Billy Holiday – le swoon! (but that was a gardenia).

So what is the connecting thread, if any? Sexy women? Something … hmmm… louche, maybe? And the dolls? Perhaps a sweeping social commentary? I could get carried away with this, and i'm at work. Think I'll quit before I'm fired (har).

I sniffed some of these on a strip, and one of these on skin, and the real standout was Me, Myself, and I with its tuberose/vetiver accord.
Poopoo Pidoo and Piège à Filles were also nice.

Ooooh hope we get these in the UK though I doubt it. Some of my favourite perfumers, interesting notes and at reasonable price points. What's not to like. A cheerful thought for a Friday, thanks for the news, Robin.

These are gorgeous, this is an underestimated niche line, people are too fast to write them off, i own 3 of the line so far, soon 4, not only is the packaging pretty, the juices are also. Give them a try, i think you will be pleasantly surprised.

That’s really kind of you! I might take you up on it later if they don’t end up getting distributed here, but we might as well wait a bit & see 🙂
