Paris Hilton Fairy Dust ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 26 September 2008 34 Comments

Paris Hilton Fairy Dust

Paris Hilton will launch Fairy Dust, her latest fragrance for women, next month. The ad campaign will feature Hilton as a fairy, and will debut later in the year. Neil Katz of Parlux Fragrances (the company that holds the Paris Hilton fragrance license) noted that "Everybody hates Paris, but she is on the front page".

Fairy Dust is a floral fragrance developed by perfumer Cecile Krakower. The notes include “sparkling prosecco accord”, pink peony, orange blossom, spring gardenia, water lily, peach nectar, sueded patchouli, cashmere musk and vanilla cream.

Paris Hilton Fairy Dust will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. (quote via wwd, additional information via cosmeticnews) Update: see a review of Paris Hilton Fairy Dust.

You've gotta love that quote. It's a tough job, but someone's got to capitalize on her. LOL

The fragrance sounds awfully sweet, and am I still asleep or does that bottle and box seem like a blatant Paris-level ripoff of Feerie? Just a weird coincidence?

    seuded patchouli?

I just…wow. My sister will probably lust for this even more than she lusts for Can Can….but she's eleven.

She said she was going to do a fairy scent around the time Can Can came out…so might just be a weird coincidence? Anyway, it's so comparatively low-market that it hardly competes w/ Feerie, right?

Then hope your sister will score a bottle 🙂

Good to know that Katz is SO incredibly proud of his export.

I figured I'd cut Paris some slack when I heard her say she'd gotten a pet rat. I love pet rats myself and if she likes animals that much, she can't be all bad. I don't usually bother sniffing her perfumes, but I like the whimsy behind a scent called Fairy Dust – this one I'll try.

Surely there have been very bad people who kept pets 🙂

I’ll hold my hands up & admit to liking the fragrances released under the Paris Hilton brand. However, the names are getting worse each time.

As for the woman herself; as Iris mentioned she parties too hard & is full of herself, but I do admire her business skills hidden under the bimbo image. She brings home $100 million a year. Bravo. However; I don’t see her as a celebrity, she’s a walking, talking brand.

This is definitely the worst name so far. And do wonder if she's shooting much younger with this one? We'll see.

100 Million dollars a year? That can't be true. The only thing that ranks in the dough with her are her fragrances. I think three or two years ago she had made 7 million that year. She can't be at 100 million. Her movies flop, her album flopped and her watches have flopped.

In a UK magazine interview last week she said she pocketed $100 mil in the last year.

I think she gets paid to party, doesn't she?

She's lying. Nobody will pay her to club anymore in the U.S. That's why she had to go way to Japan last year for New Years. Paris Hilton is done as far as the U.S us concerned. She had a club named after her, but she didn't uphold her end of the contract so they closed her clubs down. Her last movie didn't even make 100,000 at the box office! Her album didn't even go plastic! She's done. The only thing keeping her afloat are her perfumes

I am staying out of this dispute: I don't care how much money she makes. I just wish she'd lend me a few bucks.

Is it just me or does that bottle cap look like one of those generic hotel wall sconces to anyone else?

I think I read somewhere that she's hawking canned sparkling wine as well, which would explain the “sparkling prosecco accord”, I suppose. Sounds predictably dreadful.

Yeah, that's the name of her wine in a can. Fresh Presecco. How tacky is that? Who wants wine in a can

    OMG this is too funny!

That bottle makes me cringe — from the name to the notes.

Actually Fairy Dust is targeted for the younger crowd. I work for Parlux and let me tell you!!! We sell alot of her fragrances!!

It is sweet like CanCan. But I think it will sell. Set to launch the end of October.

YUCK!! Just smelled this in the new Lucky magazine and it STINKS! I thought it would be a sweet smelling fragrance. It smells like a bootleg Juicy Couture!

OMG, I'm so excited to try this perfume!! I'm really proud of Paris & everything that she's accomplished. Oh and BTW, its none of anyone's business how much money she makes. A major part of the reason y she's rich is because she's an Heiress. Duh!! Everyone, stop h8ting!!! Go Paris!!

Love this Paris Hilton Fairy Dust than Juicy Couture. Juicy Couture makes my head ache. End notes of Fairy Dust is more bearable. I have both fragrances.
