Where is my love…

Posted by Robin on 18 September 2008 14 Comments

It's been rumored for some time that Sofia Coppola would be directing a new spot for Miss Dior Chérie, starring model Maryna Linchuk. I don't know if this is it or not — I've never seen this ad before, but that doesn't mean much — please comment if you know. It doesn't really look like Maryna Linchuk to me. Whatever it is, I like it much better than the earlier ad starring Riley Keough.

The music is Where Is My Love by Cat Power.

All I know is that it worked. I am off to buy a bottle ;)
That commercial says Coppola all over.

It does. But don't see how that can be the same model. Maybe they switched, or maybe this is something else altogether…

I don't know about the perfume (haven't tried it yet) but I will definitely be exploring Cat Power!

If you really want to be blown away by Cat Power….You need to get “The Covers Record” (2000). You will never believe that one voice and a piano can do so much. Check it out on Amazon.

    I love Cat Power!
I'd expect something a bit more creative from Ms. Coppola, but who knows… let us know if you find out more, Robin. :)

When I think of Sophia now, I see Marc Jacobs… I haven't really taken a good test of Miss Dior Cherie before.. Maybe I will check it out. Although I imagine something too sweet.

It's a fake ad, and a bad one (not at all the Dior philosophy and the image they wanted to give to Miss Dior Chérie- google for the advertising image – more young rich girl). It would suit to a Marc Jacons perfume, though!

You're no doubt right, but disagree it's a bad one. I think it's way better than the Riley Keogh ad! And too bad this isn't the MDC image, I like it better than the “young rich girl”.
