Carolina Herrera 212 Summer Splash 2008, Esprit Dynamic Life ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 26 March 2008 5 Comments

Carolina Herrera 212 Splash for women

Carolina Herrera has launched the 2008 versions of her limited edition 212 Splash fragrances for summer. The scents are lighter variations on the original 212 fragrances and were "inspired by the fast pace of the city of New York". The outer packaging, like last year's, is designed to evoke soda cans.

212 Splash for women (shown) features notes of bergamot, grapefruit, mandarin, peony, rose, jasmine, lychee, cedar, sandalwood and musk. It is available in 60 ml Eau de Toilette.

212 Men Splash includes bergamot, mint, fresh notes, ginger, nutmeg, cardamom, gardenia, sandalood, incense and transparent musk. 212 Men Splash is sold in 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Esprit Dynamic Life fragrances

Esprit has launched Dynamic Life, new fragrances for men and women that "embody the summer spirit of Esprit".

Esprit Dynamic Life For Her is a fruity floral, and features notes of papaya, mandarin, pink grapefruit, jasmine, white orchid, rose, sandalwood, white amber and musk. It was developed by perfumer Véronique Nyberg, and is available in 15 and 30 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching body products.

Esprit Dynamic Life For Him is a spicy woods fragrance, and includes grapefruit, bergamot, mandarine, kiwi, lavender, cardamom, mint, pepper, nutmeg, floral notes, pineapple, teak wood, sandalwood, vetiver, tonka bean, amber and musk. It was developed by perfumer Philippe Bousseton, and is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products.

for a 'spicy woods fragrance' there is an awful lot of fruit in the mens esprit…

Yeah, fruit seems to be “the new black” in men's fragrance these days, sorry to say.

Perhaps the fruit is not so overwhelming in the juice itself? But yes, men's scents are awfully fruity lately too.

original 212 was this amazing, light but heady scent (hate those clunky pill shaped bottles though) that i used to wear in the summer… but they keep coming up with these substandard flankers. still, it was pretty cool when they did one inside an actual glass bottle (i think it was blue or aqua colored at the time), and since i was about, 15 years old, the aquatic fruit nonsense was appealing to me at the time…

212 didn't work for me, but know lots of people love it. The first 212 Summer Splash I saw at Sephora & couldn't even figure out how to get it open 🙂
