Jean Paul Gaultier & Yves Saint Laurent ~ more summer limited edition fragrances for 2008

Posted by Robin on 24 March 2008 14 Comments

Jean Paul Gaultier Summer 2008Jean Paul Gaultier has launched this year's summer versions of Classique (100 ml alcohol-free Eau de Toilette) and Le Mâle (125 ml Body Spray).

The 2008 bottle designs are inspired by Africa, and the scents are "infused with the transcendent sun and the heady rhythms of an African ritual".

Macy's has the women's version online now; Sephora will have both of them soon.

More summer limited editions from Jean Paul Gaultier: 2005, 2006, 2007.

YSL Elle Summer FragranceYves Saint Laurent has launched Elle Summer Fragrance / Elle Eau d'Été, a lighter summer version of last year's Elle Yves Saint Laurent.

The notes include ginger, tangerine, pink pepper, peony, freesia, raspberry, musk, patchouli and vetiver.

Yves Saint Laurent Elle Summer Fragrance is available in 90 ml. (via bellemania.de, ysl-parfums)

Hi. It seems that the listed notes for the JPG are different than previous summers. Has the formula been changed do you think or same as always?

I noticed that…hard to say w/o smelling it. If it *is* a new formula, they certainly didn't make a very big deal of it.

Just saw the women's online at Sephora. Curious to see if the formula is different than past summers.

I love the JPG bottles! I doubt I'd like the fragrance though. I never really like Le Male. But I will certainly give it a try when I get a chance.

Oh dear, I have had a sample of the regular Elle forever, and I need to finally try it.

I think that the summer fragrances of JPG are the same as always, without so much alcohol but with a special bottle each time.

Geesh, we just got Elle in last week, and already there's a flanker! I'm finding that customers are passing up the Elle for Burberry, unless they're YSL shoppers and are adding cosmetics to their purchase.

The men's JPG came in, not the women's. I have challenged myself to find 1 courageous man who will wear Fleur Du Male. Instead, I'm getting women who want it. Sigh.

Can't express how much I hate those bottles. Bleah, bleah.

These aren't my favorite bottles they've ever done, but they're nice. I don't need Classique or Le Male either.
