Kenzo Flower by Kenzo Summer, Melissa Flagg Violet’s Perfume ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 13 March 2008 6 Comments

FlowerbyKenzo Summer perfumeKenzo has launched Flower by Kenzo Summer:

Refreshingly light and just in time for summer, Flower By Kenzo marries the spicy sparkle of ginger with the ice-cold softness of litchi sorbet and the suave zest of mandarin. Then comes the floral, musky notes of Parma violet and freesia, exuding caressing undertones. White musk and incense fix the fragrance on the skin.

Flower by Kenzo Summer is coming soon to sephora; $52 for 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Violet's PerfumeMelissa Flagg has launched Violet's Perfume:

Violet's Perfume was inspired by the finer scents of Paris. The classic Parisian scents of the French perfumeries on Champs Elysées fill the air.

The notes include tuberose, iris, jasmine and sandalwood. Violet's Perfume is available now at beautyhabit, and is $42 for 3.75 ml perfume oil.

I really like Flower by Kenzo. It is soft, pretty and spicy! I wear this one when I am feeling girly, and get a lot of compliments from women when I wear it. I get an equal amount of compliments when I wear “Spring fever” from origins (terrible name, but interesting perfume) and “Mandragore” from Annick goutal. “Spring fever” really caught me by surprise. I thought the name was really dumb so I had passed it up for years, and then got a free sample from Macys and tried it. I didn't really like it, but everywhere I went I got mobbed by women demanding to know what is was and where they could get it. “Mandragore” pleases men and women alike, but I think “Flower” is the one that most people seem to like on me. It is really easy to wear, and I feel like I can wear it day or night. I have not tried the Melissa Flagg line, yet. I'll have to go try to find this one! Nice review!

I respect Flower but don't love it; Flower Oriental I did love.

And by the way, that wasn't a review, just an announcement — I haven't smelled either of these.

Sounds interesting! I'm sure it won't replace my beloved Amour, but definitely worth a try when it comes in. Thanks for the heads up!

My auntie had a Flower by Kenzo like 3 years ago and it was AWFUL! It smelled EXACTLY like Baby Oil!

Then guessing you won't need this one either!
