Laura Biagiotti Due, Lanvin Rumeur & La Maison de la Vanille Vanahe: new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 12 July 2006 8 Comments

Laura Biagiotti Due Donna and Uomo fragrances

Laura Biagiotti will launch Due, twin fragrances for men & women, later this month. Due Donna (for women, bottle shown at right) has notes of green mandarin, orange blossom, magnolia, jasmine, rose, amber, peru balsam and sandalwood. Due Uomo (for men) features limette, anise, incense, coconut milk, sage, galangal, vetiver, patchouli and opoponax. (via cosmoty.de)

Lanvin Rumeur, expected to be released later this year, was developed by nose Francis Kurkdjian of Takasago and includes notes of magnolia, lily of the valley, white rose and Sambac jasmine. (via abc-luxe) I don't know if it has any relationship to the 1934 Lanvin Rumeur; if you know, do comment! Update: see more information about Lanvin Rumeur here.

Vanahé is the latest fragrance release from La Maison de la Vanille, and includes notes of white lily, orchid, bergamot, blackcurrant, wild strawberry, grapefruit, orange, lemon, marine notes and vanilla. (via elle.fr & lamaisondelavanille)

OMG, Rumeur de Lanvin is being relaunched?! It was wonderful. It was my mother's favourite perfume. A very kind MUAer got a bottle of it on eBay and sent it to me three years ago. I just sniff it from time to time. That is such great news!!!!

J, not sure this one has any relationship at all to the original…

If I had any ability to discern notes (beyond the most obvious) I might be helpful…I have Rumeur EDP and parfum. It's lovely stuff and I'm glad Lanvin is reviving it. Hooray!

Hope it will turn out to be based on the original then!

Oh boo! Would they call it Rumeur if it was totally different?

Well, look at Lubin Idole. And Nina Ricci's upcoming Nina. And Lancome Tropiques. So I'd say yes, they would!
