More on Lanvin Rumeur, and new fragrances from Betty Barclay

Posted by Robin on 17 July 2006 4 Comments

Lanvin Rumeur perfumeAs previously reported, Lanvin will launch Rumeur this fall. It will debut in September, and in the US will be exclusive to Saks. The fragrance was created by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian:

Rumeur is a woody floral musk fragrance with top notes of magnolia, a heart of white rose, jasmine and orange tree blossom. The fragrance's base is composed of patchouli and musk.

Rumeur will be available in Eau de Parfum and Parfum. (via cosmeticnews) Update: see a review of Lanvin Rumeur.

German fashion house Betty Barclay has launched Betty Barclay Selection, a trio of jewel-inspired fragrances, in Europe:

Rubin (Ruby) is for "burning passion", and has notes of mandarin, bitter orange, neroli, sandalwood, gourmet accord and musk.

Saphir (Sapphire) is for "inner strength and calm", and features bergamot, lime and “ozone” notes, water lily, orchid, jasmine, vanilla, musk and dry amber.

Smaragd (Emerald) is for "joie-de-vivre and dynamism". Notes include blackcurrant, peach, grapefruit, tuberose, jasmine, heliotrope, sandalwood and musk. (via cosmoty.de & moodiereport)

The Rumeur sounds really nice – as long as the patchouli monster doesn't spring out to get me!
