Baby Phat Goddess by Kimora Lee Simmons' Baby Phat line will launch in September. The fragrance, described as a "passionate floral bouquet", was created by perfumer Jean-Claude Delville and has notes of gardenia, white rosebuds, cedrat flower, blue lily, hyacinth, black pepper, seringa, musk and exotic woods. Baby Phat Goddess is an Eau de Parfum and is available in 50 and 100 ml (the bottle features a removable rhinestone ring) and in matching body products.
Also coming in September: Shania by Stetson, created by Carlos Vinals with notes of grapefruit, mandarin, nectarine, dewy greens, red berries, star fruit, prairie rose, jasmine, honeysuckle, musk, sandalwood, patchouli and white amber. (both above via Women's Wear Daily)
Christian Dior's next launch, Dior Addict 2 will debut in Sephora in July. Addict 2 is described as the "younger sister" of the original Dior Addict scent, and has notes of bergamot, grapefruit, orange, freesia, lily of the valley, watery lotus, pineapple, watermelon, grenadine, sandalwood and cedarwood. It will be available in 20, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette.
Another Dior, Miss Dior Cherie, by perfumer Christine Nagel, and will launch at Saks in July. Update: see a review of Miss Dior Cherie.
Cacharel has released Amor Amor Eau Fraiche, a summer version with notes of orange zest, cassis, white peach, cyclamen, jasmine, rose, heliotrope, and cedar. (via osmoz)
R, I tested Addict2 a couple of weeks ago (it's been out a little while here in the UK), and couldn't detect any of the notes it purports to include. (Must add that I don't like Addict at all, but sometimes the new editions omit the pungent notes that distinguish the original.) But Addict2, after a hopeful start, just settled into a strong, sugary vanilla-and-something miasma that gave me a headache and simply wouldn't wash off. It might appeal to Addict fans, but it misses that Big Hit up-front that you get with Addict, so I don't know. LOOKs nice, though – lovely palest pink juice in the simple Addict bottle.
Hi Robin,
Jonna is going to be disappointed in me but the notes in Kimora's future fragrance sound very promising. I wonder what the bottle looks like!
Annie
Hi NST,
Isn't it amazing how nice all of that sounds and how awful most of it will turn out to be?
Oops.
Signed,

N, Thanks for commenting, I didn't know this was out already. I think they are gearing the Addict2 to a younger market, so perhaps that explains the “sugary vanilla-and-something miasma”, LOL!
A, you can see the bottle at http://www.wwd.com if you go there today before they remove the front cover of the paper. It is a pink bottle, shaped sort of like BS Curious, with the requisite bling around the neck.
GG, Isn't that the way, LOL!
What would be perfect would be if the Kimora scent smelled like gorgeous roses to the wearer and smelled like skank ass skunk to everyone else.
LOL, good one T!
The Cacharel one sounds nice. I don't really care for Amor Amor. Its not bad, just not distinctive – smells like a zillion other fruity florals to me.
Curious to see what the summer version is like.
I have never smelled Amor Amor! The bottle for the Eau Fraiche is fun though (you can see it on osmoz if you load the French version).
Wow — both the KLS scent and the Shania scent actually sound appealing! Looking forward to having a sniff of these.
You are right! I'm having a hard time picturing myself buying something called “Baby Phat Goddess”, but you never know! And it probably helps that I have no earthly idea who Kimora Lee Simmons is.
Be very glad you don't know!
My mother picked up a tube of Baby Phat Goddess lotion at a garage sale. I opened it very cautiously expecting a real scrubber and was surprised at how inoffensive it was–with that name I never expected a sedate white floral.
