Chopard Wish Pink Diamond, Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely & Chanel Allure Sensuelle ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 6 May 2005 14 Comments

Chopard Wish Pink Diamond perfumeChopard's latest, Wish Pink Diamond will be launched in Asian duty free this summer:

The juice, a fresh floral-fruity combination, was composed by Alexandra Jouet of Takasago. It opens on top notes of tangerine, neroli and pear, leading to a heart of rose, acanthus, apricot and freesia. The base features amber, sandalwood and musk. (via MoodieReport)

Chopard Wish Pink Diamond is an Eau de Toilette, and is available in 30 and 50 ml.

Sarah Jessica Parker's new fragrance will launch in August at Nordstrom, then move to other stores in September:

Lovely, a “silky white amber” fragrance by Laurent Le Guernec and Clement Gavarry of International Flavors and Fragrances, has top notes of fresh mandarin, bergamot, radiant rosewood, lush lavender and crisp apple martini; a heart of patchouli, paper whites and creamy orchid, and a drydown of sensuous cedar, white amber, sultry musk and woods.

Update: see a review of Sarah Jessica Parker Lovely.

Chanel Allure Sensuelle perfumeChanel will release Allure Sensuelle in September:

Chanel’s master perfumer, Jacques Polge, used Allure’s six “facets” — Oriental, fresh, floral, fruity, woody and spicy — as a guideline in creating Allure Sensuelle, noted Laurie Palma, senior vice president of fragrance and Internet marketing. Key ingredient additions — such as pink pepper and patchouli — make Allure Sensuelle a little younger and edgier, she said.

Sensuelle will also have an incense note, and the fruity-floral notes in the original Allure will be softer.

American Beauty, an Estee Lauder brand exclusive to Kohls, will launch their first fragrance, Wonderful, in September. (via Women's Wear Daily)

Am I the only person who's completely unexcited about the idea of a Sarah Jessica Parker perfume?

(And why does it sound like they threw in everything but the kitchen sink?)

I think the increasing popularity of the pink pepper note is a homage to Ormonde Jayne — who uses it so well.

    Have a great weekend, R!

Well, in general I don't get excited about celebrity fragrances. If I was going to get excited, I guess I'd prefer SJP over Britney Spears! The apple martini stuff doesn't appeal to me very much 🙂

Oh, how cute! Little Laurent worked on this! He did one of my all time faves, Jamoca Soft Musk for Avon! I hear he's become a little stinker now! LOL

Pink Diamond sounds good to me! Love tangertine and love amber bases. And you gotta love that Wish bottle.

Don't get too excited, unless you're going to be flying to Asia soon! This might turn out to be one of those Asia-exclusives, like the Guerlain cherry blossom scents.

Please don't think I'm criticizing you! You're just keeping us informed. I abhor SJP, but I would never shoot the messenger. 😉

    Enjoy your weekend!

Oh, no worries, I didn't think that at all. You have a great weekend too!

I might only try the SJP because it has patchouli, and you know I can't pass that up. It really seems much too busy. Doesn't even sound like something that SJP herself would want to wear.

You're right, didn't she always wear something simple like Bonne Bell Skin Musk or something? But apparently she has been very involved in the process and she talks in WWD about testing different versions.

I've been a fan of SJP since I was little so I have hopes that I'll like it but the notes don't really appeal to me.

R – I hope you've had a wonderful weekend. Do you realize what an impact you have on the fragrance world? Every time I google a fragrance, I find a link to your blog! Give me warm fuzzies and a smile on my face every time!

S, Thanks, and hope your weekend is wonderful too!

It is nice to be on google, except when I'm looking for something myself and get my own darn page, LOL!
